It's never felt quite right to wish somebody a "happy" Memorial Day, but I'm glad you're someplace beautiful with a wife and a pup that both love you, you deserve it. Quilts are an interesting concept to cutt weight and with proper staps, a hoodie, and sleeping pad system, I think they are viable. They are not as user friendly as a traditional bag is, there is slightly more prep time involved and if you roll and shift a lot when sleeping, you might find that quilt designs allow more cold air to creep under them while sleeping. This is my first quilt system and it is a double bag which does not really give it a fair comparison becauae there are two of us rolling around in there and a greater chance of air gaps. I am going to buy a second quilt for personal use to try out which will give me a better comparison of their effectiveness vs traditional full bags.
Ahh, then i would definately need to upgrade my sleeping mat game when sleeping even with a tarp. But it must be comfy in tents or an RV compared to open sleeping bags with zippers and all.
Very cool, I just started looking at small trailers as a way of travelling to training classes. Airstream's are sadly not in the budget right now. Safe travels Chuck.

Enlightened equipment 950 fill goose down double quilt. It's about $600.00-650USD but it is comfy!
