This is finally a question that I would like to know for a mix and a mastering. If I make a recording of a voice I must mix it first and for the instrumental case I must also mix and master it. And together I will also do another mastering
Generally, you would record the vocals and mix with the instrumental. Then, you master the final mix altogether :)

If I am also using vocal rider live where should I place it in this workspace should I place it above the waves tunes in the logic rack? And I should set that to -25 ? Thank you for any info!

Do you leave the master at 0db input gain? I’m just curious bc I loaded it up had it dialed back to -10 until I realized that you have it at 0.
It depends on the input level. This is recorded much louder than I usually would for the video :)

Would you typically put autotune on every individual track or would you process it with a bus?
Individual (mono) tracks. I send vocals to stereo aux chains and pitch correction is only accurate with mono signals.
@@SeanDivine thank you so much. I’ve been sending my vocals to a stereo aux track with autotune on it & think that’s been my issue. I just have to put autotune on each individual track with possibly a fab filter EQ to give me a boost before sending it to the bus. Either that or just delete the autotune & put it on each mono track. I’ll have to play with it a bit. I think that’s what I’ve seen a lot of professionals doing. As long as the autotune is on each individual track it should be good tho. Much appreciated!!
Whenever I get a chance I’m going to go back to my mix & try putting autotune on each individual track to see how that sounds & go from there. I think that’s been the problem.
Totally fixed my problem. I put a loudness meter, autotune, & then a Fabfilter high end boost. About 3db. It not only sounds much better, but has a lot more presence in the lead vocal. Way less pitchy. You’re a life saver🔥 your master preset on studioverse is phenomenal! Thank you so much ❤️🔥

Just preference - I usually compress first, then EQ, then DeEss. No rules though!
Any presets for male and female live vocals
The holy grail evo chain I showed in the video is low latency and would work live. Not gender specific.

@@SeanDivine hey man, all of the other waves plug-ins are accessible to someone like me. I just didn't understand how to access what you were showing in your video. So I was wondering if you wouldn't mind maybe connecting with each other via zoom and you could load the presets and maybe save them for me so I can then access them? I've purchased your mixing logic pro templates and they're amazing, so I wouldn't want to miss out on this as your vocals sounded sick with the processing. Thanks

doing a backing track with the lead..dates your music. It just ends up sounding amateurish. I'd go a strong lead vocal only...just an opinion if you wish to listen 🙏🏿
But Sean, since studio rack started hosting third party plugins, you haven't really done much with it, you continue to stick with waves plugins which have very little character in them. I don't understand! Are they paying you a lot of money than other companies? I really don't understand! I need to know why you haven't come up with preset chains that include better plugins from companies such as PA, Softube, UAD spark, Eventide, Slate Digital, Arturia, etc?????????????????
Not the case. My last video featured a StudioRack chain with the new Avalon 747 plugin from Kazrog. I've also posted videos for SR chains with the Softube Cl1b, all SSL Fusion plugins, etc. More to come! I use SR and 3rd party plugins in my own workflow daily... and I believe Waves plugins have character too :)
@@SeanDivine I own all waves plugins, never use them really . Maybe and only maybe the 1176 black version when I only need little character. And I am being honest :)

What kinda computer you need to handle these plugs?
Depends on how many instances of StudioRack you’re using and the plugins loaded. I’m on an M1 max and it doesn’t flinch at these chains.
