This is definitely safer. But if you want to drift your bike for real, you need to wear out the rear tires so it has almost no traction.

How to actually drift a bike
1 go fast
2 Make sure to have strong rear wheel brake
3 brake the rear wheel only
4 turn to that direction
5 let to off the brake
6 flex to your friends(if you have any)

Just go as fast as you can
When you wanna drift just turn your handlebar however much needed and slam the rear brake while putting your weight to the side
