Step-by-Step: Remove Front Axles on Acura TSX

**VERY IMPORTANT**
When you re-install the axle and you have the inner joint mounted to the intermediate shaft (passenger side) or transmission (driver side), you need to tap it in with a big hammer by hitting the outside joint to ensure it is fully inserted. In this video I show you how I removed the axle on my 2005 Acura TSX. This applies to the 2004-2008 TSX. This should also apply to the second generation TSX. The hardest parts are separating the lower ball joint and separating the axle from the intermediate shaft. The information is for both passenger and driver side.
Per the manual you need to use a new axle nut and create a new indentation on the axle nut (using a cold chisel and hammer) when finished.
When you are pulling the axle from the wheel hub, you need to lift the steering knuckle up and move it towards the back of the car to get enough space to pull the outer axle joint out. The steering knuckle is heavy because the brake caliper and rotor adds weight to it. If you find its too heavy to maneuver the knuckle, you can remove the brake caliper and rotor to reduce the weight of the knuckle. You can place the brake caliper on a bucket in the wheel well but don't let it hang from the rubber hose.
Before you torque down the damper fork bolt and pinch bolt, you need to raise the knuckle from under the control arm and then torque the bolts. then lower the knuckle back down.
With some cars, pulling the axle from the driver side will result in fluid leaking out, but this is not the case with this car.
