The ambiance was well done and really gave you that classroom feel. The story and conversation flowed really nicely. People talking about their passions and interests and just nerding out about the things they love will always be adorably wholesome, and this was certainly no exception. I really enjoyed the comparison of the now and then, and interesting to think about how these authors would have reacted to modern times. Also sometimes you do find yourself wishing for a simpler time but also those love stories you can only find in fiction. I'm not a literature guy and my knowledgeable about this stuff is limited, so I really enjoyed the little analysis (is that the right word to use here?) of their stories and the messages in them. I especially loved her thoughts about Frankenstein and how she stood her ground with them, because the assignment didn't sit right with her. Which is a quality that shows up in a lot of your characters and one I find very admirable. They're very grounded in who they are and what they believe in. It's something I aspire to find within myself someday. Anyhoo, it's late and I probably should've waited to comment till after I slept because my thoughts definitely trailed off a bit and I apologize for that. But yeah, this was super sweet and the flirting was very cute, and I absolutely adored the nerdiness in this. Like always, it would be lovely to see (hear?) more of their story. Thanks for always easing us into the weekend with good vibes, B. Hope yours is filled with nothing but the best vibes as well. Take care! 💕💕
You had my heart at "literature", the invitation to get coffee was solely icing on the cake. Though it's so rude to be that flirty before a class. I couldn't be able to focus at all 😂💜
I must say where was this gift of a person when I was in Uni; I would have looked forward to class more instead of just bearing it. Again wonderful performance; the steady flow of the narrative was so easy to listen to. Hope you are well, take care🌺
This RP is absolutely adorable! I LOVED it! Fab work, BtB!!! I'll just mention that, since it's tangentially related to the subject matter of the RP, that George Eliot (1818-1880) INVENTED the internet. Don't believe me? This is what she wrote in one of her essays: "In fact, the evident tendency of things to contract personal communication within the narrowest limits makes us tremble lest some further development of the electric telegraph should reduce us to a society of mutes, or to a sort of insects communicating by ingenious antenna of our own invention." ('Woman in France: Madame de Sable' (1854), The Essays of George Eliot)
I'm not familiar with that quote, but I did spend many lovely hours with Eliot's works in University. Middlemarch is still a personal favourite! Glad you liked the audio! 💜💜💜
