I am thinking about sitting one of these systems up in my living room. As a brand new senior golfer, I need all the practice time I can get to learn how to play the game.
When playing TGC 2019, you can position your mouse in the small overhead view of the hole displayed in the lower left corner. You can move your mouse around to determine how far your next shot will be to carry certain obstacles. Works great!!
Looks really fun! I just think it`s crazy expensive for a game... The Skytrak unit itself isn`t exactly free on it`s own, and then you need the Play package thing and then the game as well...! But it does look good :-)
Yeah some do that for sure. I have had great success right on the dot. First time with a few misses this round. Might move it back next round and see. Thanks for watching

10.5ft ball to screen. It's a very high end custom screen with multiple layers, not available for retail. You can just hit Q and then left or right arrow. Thanks for watching
Your putting seems to be way more accurate than mine. I am using the Fiberbuilt mat. I get open/close putts 5-7 degrees all the time and it is frustrating. I put my ball for driving 1 ball behind the dot and never get a miss read. Only thing I can't get to read with skytrak are flop shots. If you could let me know how to fix that would be great.
I am really not doing anything special other than making sure my unit is aligned properly and completely level including roll and tilt. I placed the ball exactly on the dot and face the logo towards the unit.
@@keithsmith477 Sorry I missed that what you are saying about Fiberbuilt if it’s the one with the tall bristles then yes I’m sure that’s the issue is getting a smooth roll. You don’t need it to roll smooth for a long distance only like a foot or a foot and a half max but it’s important otherwise the ball is bouncing and getting miss read
Another great video Jay! This request might not have so much demand, but I'm curious about the difference between original TGC and TGC 2019. I know the graphics are significantly better, but aside from that, is the experience similar? Did the change the ball physics or anything like that?
Any tips on tee placement for driver? I've had a lot of misreads. I've read where you should raise the level of the skytrac so the laser hits the ball as it sits on tee. I've noticed in your video that you don't adjust the height when alternating between iron and driver. Great video. Thanks.

Yes, not official releases, but user created courses. Some of course are not good but others are very good. All TGC 2019 versions are the same and users can create courses. Thanks for watching
The ballspeed numbers seem quite low for your game. Does tgc directly show the numbers given by Skytrak? Even your best drives were maxing out at 145 mph
This was my old driver but also not swinging that hard. I rarely could get to 150 with. My new sim 2 with ventus now I am close to 160. Data from SkyTrak though is sent direct not manipulated in any way other that the flight algorithm. Ball speed shows same.
I think the game improvement is a no brainer for the additional feature but more importantly the ability to use TGC, E6, Creative Golf etc. I guess if you really do not want course play then you can use the range without it just to do some practice but most want simulation golf. Hi Jay - love your content. I purchased QED from you; Q: do you think the distance w/ it is comparable to what you hit normally? Mine seems to be about 10% less on the sim. Not altitude or wind as I checked those settings.
I do find the carry to be really close to outside for me. Have your tried using the same ball you use outside? Just get some of the 3 dot stickers if not. Works great. Also many tend to lose a little inside just due to indoor swing syndrome. You get over that after a bit. Thanks for watching!
What tees do you use with the SkyTrak? I've heard some white and colored tees do not go well with the SkyTrak. I ordered the TrueStrike Mat and I don't think I can use real tees with it.
That's just provided by TGC. It is an estimate using ball data. It is decent sometimes but off others so should not really be relied on. Thanks for watching
Thanks for the video. Do you have an existing video (or can you do a video) on how to calibrate the skytrak if you are not hitting into a projected screen ? I’ll be hitting into a net, the. Relayed onto a screen adjacent to the net. Cheers
There is a alignment feature on the skytrak app. When you initially login in, at the main screen there is a button on the lower right corner that has a level on it. Click that and in the top right corner, there is a alignment slide. A second laser will show on your hitting mat, use an alignment stick to line up the 2 lasers and that is where you need to aim your shots
Very Nice! Keep em' coming - Do you use the default settings for fairway hardness, green softness etc? If not do you have any changes you feel you need to make before playing a round?

Does the TGC 2019 work if running off an IPAD or does it require a PC ? I haven't used my SkyTrak in about a year because my options were pretty limited by running on my IPAD.

@@GolfSimulatorVideos I was playing a trackman the other day and everyone was aiming at different things and balls were going all over the place. I think you have to aim at the ball that’s on the screen because that’s what lines up with the Trackman laser. I would assume the same for a Skytrak.
@@GolfSimulatorVideos thanks. I will. Thinking of going for the skytrak over mevo mainly due to the distances needed for the mevo and hitting outside in a net. The last thing I want is to miss the net with my wedges and start smashing windows. I would feel safer closer to the net and the skytrak seems to be the best option. Congrats on the 12k.
Hi, thank you these videos are great! i Have a skytrak with tgc 2019, im having issues with skytak showing pulling the ball, ive read a couple of times about this before. ive measured many time to make sure my set up was correct. even with putting i can see the put roll straight on my mat and in the game sometimes the put is as much as a foot to the left. i started just turning my skytrak a bit left to offset this issue but really want to know im getting a true read. any advice would be helpful

I always tee the driver up an inch behind the red dot, it does help to eliminate any miss reads.

I have not shown any of the original TGC but could look into it for sure. 2019 had many improvements.

How did you get your sky track accurate to tgc 2019 . when I play tgc 2019 it's not as accurate as the sky track driving range.

When aiming, do you stay square to the Skytrak after picking a spot with the mouse on the laptop then aim at the ball on the screen?
I like the skytrak up square to target and works great for me.
