Hi Robin, so nice to have a laundry room. I have an old house in California and my washer and dryer are in my attached garage. I always wanted a designated laundry room however I’m grateful just to have it in my home. I follow another person on TH-cam and she has to go to laundromat to do laundry for her family so she would probably like to have what I have. The older I get the more I’m just grateful and thankful for what I have. It’s taken me years to realize this. All glory to God for our many blessings. ❤

It’s important to make sure you can just as easily put things away as take them out. And routine tidying is the only way to go. For anyone. About 3 years ago I started cleaning this way and it changed everything for me.

Hi Robin, so lovely to see you as always. 💛 I must be honest and say I sometimes come here for the sunshine. 🌄 We've had awful weather this spring, hardly warm enough to go into the garden (which is everything to me). Sometimes, I don't know how to handle that. I pray about it a lot. I will mention that one year, we were so financially challenged that we couldn't do the spring garden haul that we liked to do and plant, so we prayed over our garden. This year has been tough again, and my garden is full of flowers, a TREE (That arrived with our first prayers by itself and is now leafy and quite tall and serves as a privacy screen I had also prayed for) and bushes that came from 'nowhere'. Some discarded pansies are growing back into flowers!! 🥀🥀 And the cuttings we had left had replanted themselves!! Plus it's my favourite plant. God listens, I guess, and does what he can, but how can he change a cold place into a warm, sunny place 😿 Thank you for your videos. They have helped so much x 💛

Vinegar also makes the clothes soft instead of fabric softener .
In our old house, the laundry was in our unfinished basement-no sink, no hanging area, no folding or storage space. It’s such a blessing to have a main floor laundry room with all the amenities. We recently refreshed ours with an updated stainless laundry sink, fresh paint and new accessories. I smile every time I walk in there. What I’m waiting for now is what you just installed… a new upright freezer. Yours looks perfect, but my old chest freezer isn’t quite ready to give up yet-so good enough for now 😊

Hi Robin - first of all you are blessed to have such a large laundry room and nice appliances. Everything does look so clean. You are so precious in the way that you think of things and give a wonderful message to everyone to be thankful for what we have and take care of what we have. Yes I’m sure many of us could have much Nicer things.. I know my laundry room is quite small and is old is this house. Which I built new in 1979 so it’s showing his age somewhat. I have tried to keep it up and have changed out flooring and light fixtures over the years. But I am grateful that I am able to live on my own and still take care of my self with some help from my sweet family. I mainly do container gardening now because it’s easier for me and I do enjoy it. All my plants from last year made it and are thriving. Tomorrow I go have my preop work done and all three of my doctors have approved my surgery for May 20. today I even felt well enough to go to church which was so wonderful. As I looked at each one of my friends sweet faces I thought they all look so beautiful. We’ve all been together for many years in our class and have a deep love for each other. The room. I am thinking of the possibility of putting the traffic walk area behind the coach and add a long table to the back of the couch. I think this would increase the couch size as in comparison to the large coffee table. Also you would see the softness and textures of a throw draped over the back on the left or right and the decorations of baskets etc on and under the console table (I believe is what the furniture behind a soft is called.) Of course this will make better sense when you have a TV mounted to the wall in front of the couch. The two chairs would fit on both sides creating a u -shape. A space that large needs to be zoned. A family member has large rooms of such, they have created space around the furniture settings. Movement around or partially around allows energy to flow. If one corner is empty, possibly a small table with a large back chair for reading along with lighting. Fake greenery would help a corner.

Hi Robin! What a great laundry space you have! Not sure why but our builder combined our laundry space with our pantry in our kitchen (man design?). 😂. Anyway, we always have a dusty pantry. Ugh. Can’t wait to see the rest of the renovation. One thought, you may want to get Austin’s dog food into a plastic bin since it is sitting on the floor and it is not far from an outdoor entrance. Just to avoid any critters enticed by the smell. Have a blessed week!

We do keep Austin’s food in the airtight plastic bin next to his bowls (for the very reason you mentioned 👍😉). Once we open the new bag it goes right in there. 😄

When we lived in NM our laundry was in the garage and it was so cold 🥶 in the winter to do laundry.

My laundry room is located in the walk-through from garage to house and when we moved here it only had one cheap wire shelf. There was enough room for our freezer and we added upper cabinets and a small broom cabinet. Not ideal but better than the builder left it so it now works for us. '
I liked what you said about appreciating things like running water and washer/dryer machines. I agree!! I make an effort to pray and give thanks for such blessings every night. We are so lucky to have these things.

In my laundry area there is an old porcelain double sink. It's great for filling pails, etc. The only problem is that it becomes a dump site for painting supplies (my son has been restoring the 2nd floor of his house, which is attached to our wing, by a walkway between the main house and our smaller home). So this area is always messy. The cupboard below this sink area is another mess. All the years I've been married (42), it has been a thorn in my side. Well, after venting, I hope that you have a good week. You make my Sunday afternoons. 😊

During the past two weeks, my iron completely broke. I am thinking great shopping for an iron is not fun due to so many choices. Then I remembered you to had to replace your iron. Robin you will love having your new freezer! Our upright has served us well for 40 years. Especially over long winters and the pandemic. Still runs like a dream! We have one of those skinny tools for "under". It's incredible what gets under our appliances and furniture, and it's such a good feeling to clean thoroughly!

I have the same washer and dryer, but I put mine on pedestals. I can’t bend my knees down that deep (knee replacements, so having the set higher is a great asset.

When I went to TH-cam I was so very pleased to see you again. I have been cleaning my laundry room/ entry to my back porch. It is always such an accomplishment. I miss seeing you each week, but was very excited to see you. I just have one question how do you stay so very slim. It seems the older I get the pounds do not come off. Thank you Janice! It is definitely more challenging as I get older to maintain my weight as well. The best thing I have found is portion control. I eat everything, just in smaller quantities, avoid snacking and I try to stay active. I weigh myself daily so that I can adjust.
Perhaps I’ll do a video about that one day, but I’m certainly not an expert. 😄

Would you be able to give me more info on the freezer you bought please. I’m looking for one and I really like the idea of drawers. I I have a space that looks a lot like the one you put your freezer in. I don’t really have a laundry room just a small space that my washer and dryer barely fits into. I make the best of it. Really like all your videos and have enjoyed your cooking ones as well.
When I was a little kid, we had a yardstick with a foam rubber sleeve that we kept by the refrigerator to clean underneath it. Anyone else have one of those?

Hi Robin, I’d be interested to know how you like that upright freezer with drawers. I considered that model when searching for mine. But I ultimately ended up with an up right freezer with wire shelves and a drawer on the bottom.

Yeah, I am so excited you are still doing videos for us. You are such an inspiration. I would love you to do a video about decluttering. If you made one, and I missed it, could you link it please. I think you are probably telling your mom to uncluttered stuff. I am probably her age and I worry about leaving things for my kids to have to get rid of but I just don't know how to do it. I don't really look at them even, but I know if someone wanted them they could get them. They really aren't hurting anything but it is clutter, and I hate it.
We have the freezer you bought. We have had it for 3 years now and it is great. I love the baskets to organize things, and things don't get lost in the back of the freezer. I have less waste this way.
What happened to your Grove products. I love it when. you use to make candles too. Are you still going to your Bible class. You haven''t told us if it is there. How far are you fro your old house. You are absolutely correct... you can get so much into it...its amazing how much easier it is...I have divided my produce to a shelf, and also keep a note book to document whats inside, I check things off as I use . We have the same washer and dryer…just an fyi if your power goes out you will need to unplug and plug machines back in…I thought they needed repair 🤪😂 fortunately repair man diagnosed it over the phone!

Be careful stacking the washer and dryer. My dryer door has tempered glass and all the agitation from the washer caused it to crack.

Great cleaning and organizing. Yesterday we had dinner at my sister's fiance's house. My sister gave me a tour of the farm. I got to pet a chicken and the dog. We had tacos. We watched Terminator 1 and Predator vs Alien. I was rooting for the Predators since they clean up their messes and don't impregnate the human women like the Aliens. When they are against the humans, I root for the humans.

For the kefir water did you notice a lot of bubbles while opening? I heard that bottles have exploded from opening. Is this true? I’ve been wanting to make kefir water.
Hi Stephanie! Yes, the water kefir becomes naturally carbonated and you have to be careful to open the top to “burp” the bottles several times during the second fermentation.👍🩵
