Thank you for this ongoing study of Mark.
Sometimes it is missed that all of us, including Caesar are made in the image of God. “Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, the whole earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth.””
Genesis 1:26
So truly we need to render to God everything!
Amen Sproul. We must pay taxes to the government, no matter how corrupt. May we keep the commandments of our Lord Jesus Christ forevermore. God bless you all.

Wow I never knew that the coin had an inscription calling Tiberias Caesar son of the most high Augustus. That gives extra meaning to the story since it's an anthesis to Jesus being the son of the True God. It's like an Easter Egg for us modern people that R.C. found.
