Ichibei is quite the chess master. To think Quincies had an Empire that existed in the human world, perhaps to humans they and Yhwach were one of those generic empires and he just another warlord that was the leader. The history of the Quincy in the human world is very interesting.
I kinda saw that, because of the fact that Quincies weren't known for normal humans but Quincies ARE humans with special powers

Eh. Pretty sure Ichibei didn't just say Yhwach's eyes would be closed forever, he also said they would be closed until he died and to live a modest life or something. Therefore, when Yhwach "dies" at the hands of Yamamoto that seal on the Almighty is done. Unfortunately for them, he was reborn over the course of a thousand years.

We still don't even know what happened to Yhwach a thousand years ago after the yama fight.
What's interesting to me is that Yhwach didn't originally have 3 irises. He only had 2 until he got Pernida.

@@Demontego It's also BECAUSE they cut up the soul king he is unstable than originally planned. And because of it they require another sacrifice - and one that is even harder to obtain. This negative cycle was created through an awful combination of mistrust, prejudice, grudges and overplanning. They did not have the guts to trust the soul king who was harmless.

Ichibei told Ichigo that the 5 noble families decided to chop up the soul king, yet, he is the one that absorbed the left arm (and possibly right arm) and had the benefits? He is evil!!
He used the Left arm because he knew Yhwach's Almighty power would be unable to work on it.
That's what I was thinking. He said in the light novel that he wasn't there, yet we saw in that episode how that was a lie. If he lied about that, what else did he lie about?

This scene added a lot of context to what's about to happen in the anime as well as what happened previously with Yamamoto. It's really nice how they are fleshing out plot points that were barely touched in the manga.
i wish they add a scene of ichibei erasing yhwach's name. and then a flashback of old man zangetsu unable to say his name out loud to ichigo.

So let me get this straight Yhwach Bach fathered the Quincy race. Later on members of the Quincy founded their own empires, nation, and families. Yhwach conquered the nations of his seed in order to unify his race and make empire strong enough to defeat to the shinigami (including zero squad, soul society, and noble families). Thus being able to in act his ultimate goal of undoing the of sin.
Not sure if it's been confirmed whether Yhwach was actually the literal progenitor of the Quincies. It's probably more accurate to say that the SK was, but Yhwach is the one who was actually involved with them. Perhaps he identified them as his people and came up with the name etc, but everything that makes Quincies unique started with the Soul King.
@@aliveandwellinisrael2507 Yes, it's been confirmed several times that Yhwach did indeed create the Quincies by giving regular humans fragments of his own soul that increased their reiatsu. And, to answer the op: he wanted to remake the worlds into one but he didn't know about the sin of the shinigamis because as we saw in this episode, he didn't know what happened to the Soul King; I guess he assumed the Soul King was alive and well and was planning to kinda fight him to be able to remake the worlds; but now he knows the Soul King is just a husk and makes it easier for him to "kill" it.
There is a theory that the soul king is the real "father". He blessed his followers with mastery of Reishi

Nahhh for me it just that shinigamis back then were simply not good people for them maintaining the balance of the world was a duty which didn't see any moral wrongdoings as above the task , and so ichibei is simply a guy who does his duty no matter the ways and I think as a matter of fact even right now shinsui is also kinda like that but obv not to that extent as old timers lol

I wouldn't say Ichibei is evil because he doesn't want chaos but balance but I would say he is morally ambiguous since I don't think there is nothing he wouldn't do for the sake of balance in the world
I still believe that Soul Society in general will return to being the main antagonists and Ichigo will be caught in the middle, with both Hell and Soul Society coming after his son in order to fully open or reseal Hell.

So it seems Ichibei's foresight by sealing Yhwach's Almighty saved Yama and the OG 13's collective asses in their first war. Wow! Furthermore, this proves two things...Yhwach didn't use the Almighty against Yama in the first war like a lot of fans believed he did and Yhwach would've totally stomped Yama! I know a lot of Yama fans are pissed right about now.🤔
Even the manga states that Yhwach didn't use the Almighty against the OG13.
If you recall on his fight with Ichibei it was said that Ichibei had no idea what the Almighty was and they'd monitored his fight with Yamamoto 1000 years ago claiming to know everything he had in his arsenal.

I begin to think Yhwach planned to lose 1000 years ago, both to die and begin the process of regaining the Almighty, and to infiltrate the Soul Society to begin building his secret stronghold in Seireitei's shadow. Additionally it created a grudge against Soul Reapers he could use to motivate subsequent generations of Quincies.
Trust me he did not plan to lose otherwise he wouldn’t have gone through so much trouble to make sure he didn’t lose again
isn't anyone curious as to why the left arm got the name Pernida Parnkgjas? why choose this name (and last name)? is it not satisfied being called the left arm of the soul king?
Just a theory but, maybe Pernida Parngkjas was an actual quincy, that was made into the vessel of the left arm. Like how Jushiro had the right arm inside him. Possibly the left arm took full control of the main body. what do you guys think?

Gerard was implied to be a host. Granted unlike Ukitake, Gerard had unnatural features like his pure white or glowy eyes bec he doesnt feel like a person but a skin suit. But Pernida is a weird case bec he has the body of the left arm but he has the pride of the quincy. I think he gained individuality once Yhwach ripped him away from Ichibei

Good analysis, but I don't think Yhwach lost to Yamamoto intentionally. Because, Mayuri accused Yamamoto of not ensuring YH's death when he had the chance. Mayuri is not someone who would state anything other than facts. One more thing. After sealing the almighty, couldn't Ichibei just kill Yhwach there? If yes, then he and Yamamoto did the same mistake!

What actually makes me sad is that Ichibei was willing to let bygones be bygones and the Quincies would be left alone. But Yhwach didn't want any peace treaty even for the sake of the Quincie's safety.

To be fair that was probably just an excuse to lure Yhwach in to be able to seal The Almighty. Like if Ichibei already knew that Yhwach had The Almighty I don't think he would legitimately expect Y.H to just accept this deal knowing that Ichibei was there using the dismembered body of his father to rule the world lol. And the fact that Ichibei stated that he knew The Almighty wouldn't be able to see the future in that moment because of the hand of the Soul King implies that he already had that planned.

I have been wondering what the hell happened for SO LONG! My leading theory was the Ise God-Killing sword "blinded" him during or right before the war climaxed, but I do like this better.

pretty sure its implied that yhwach took pernida here, but as the price for that he had his almighty sealed. at some point after the first quincy blood war then he indoctrinated pernida to the quincy cause and made it into what it became later
@@bynosaurus4024 Don't think Pernida needed much indoctrination tbh, after all, Ichibei was just carrying him around like some kind of gun to use and was clearly willing to "sacrifice" him. Maybe it was more of a situation where Yhwach didn't know how to "summon" Pernida into being, perhaps? I mean, we know how hard it was for Ukitake to summon Mimihagi and all the time it took him to prepare it, i'd assume something similar needed to be done with Pernida, maybe?
since yhwach is the son of the soul king and his powers came from him including quincy's power, its not wrong to think that is why pernida identified itself as a quincy

Well to get rid of death Ywach will basically revert the world back to being one. So Hollows, Souls and Human will all exist in one plane.
So even though no one will die at that point. It's stil can cause chaos since those entities were separated in the first place since mixing them all together will cause chaos.
This is also why Hollows were so problematic back then since it's an entity that consumes both souls and humans.
So all souls the Hollows eat is permanently stuck inside the hollows
@@Snzn18this basically. Plus the Quincy permanently destroy the soul so they would be eradicated from existence. Plus other factors. Is disease eliminate? Probably not, good luck with eternal cancer. Has man’s sinful nature has been removed? Probably not, so you have the horrors of malice, injustice, and sin influencing the action of others. Is Yahwach’s way actually better?
Also on a side note for why God’s resurrection plan and elimination of death is way better than this.

When Haschwalth uses the Almighty he only has two pupils and he mentions his control over the Almighty is inferior to Yhwach. Having three pupils is likely a sign that Yhwach has a greater mastery over the ability than 1,000 years earlier.
Wouldnt mind if we have full on flashback episode in final cours on what led to yhwach first war against soul reapers 😮

Remember, Yhwach's powers as explained by Haschwalth thrive on war and bloodshed. A world with death actually stops that. Honestly, they both posture like they care for peace when they really care about themselves and their own ambitions.
Idk, why people don't understand the status quo here:
Ichibei is the "manager" of the world the Soul King created, split into it's three parts. This constellation is delicate and the Quincy/YB already threatened to destroy it by imbalancing the very structure of reality by killing hollows. Ichibei has no choice than to keep everything in place for obvious reasons.
Yhwach literally wants to end all of existence, every known world, including himself, just to return reality to it's primordial state, before the Soul King tampered with it.
Like, how do people need to argue with some "good" or "evil" bs? That is literally not the point of the plot.

Ichibei didn't kill Yhwach because he thought he had permanently sealed his Almighty. Without the Almighty he would never be a threat to Ichibei or the Soul King.

I agree the soul king is what God should almost be like something not understandable and un able to directly talk to you
The way I see it was this.Pernida's abilities allow for progression which included knowledge and techniques.I think Ichibei was able to take advantage of this by putting Yhwach in his own state of progress sort of like a one step back but two steps forward.He counted on Yhwach's mindset to leave his abilities locked up forever since he thought he'd never change.That was his error cause now that Yhwach knows about the king his mindset went from docile to going on the offense hence why I think Pernida enhanced the Almighty so he can change the future now not just see it fitting considering Yhwach and all the soul kings parts give out abilities suited to personalities of the person.

Actually The Almighty get sealed. The only way to remove the seal have to get yhwach get killed... That's the reason how yhwach got Almighty after he died in his fight against ichebei

The reason i think Pernida closed Yhwach's eyes is because Pernida personifies evolution, to move forward. But Yhwach was using his ability to look into the past, and wanted to go back to it. So Pernida wanting to move forward and Yhwach wanting to go back negated each other.

Not necessarily. Like Ywach back them even with the Almighty still may be a lot weaker than the Ywach with the almighty now.
So Genryusai still can potentially beat Ywach back then. Depending on how skilled Ywach is actually capable of utilizing the almighty.

The only other Almighty that has 2 pupils is Haschwalth who says he has an inferior version to Yhwach. So Yhwach regaining the almighty has a greater version than he had when it was sealed.

Reading these comments, I feel like people are way too focused on who’s bad and who’s good. It seems that Ichibei can’t have feelings when it comes to making hard decisions because the balance of the world is at stake. Until we actually know what exactly happened to the Soul King and why it happened, then Ichibei just seems to be an extremely morally ambiguous/neutral party that wants to uphold the balance of the world.
The thing is what ability ichibe used to closing yuha Almighty? And why yuha open it after a thousand years have pass?
So did ichibi use a seal or something that could only tranfer which was implantes inside the arm? Or was it the physical contact that made the seal transfer?
Maybe i need to rewatch but how did the seal actually work? And could they not retry embedding a similar one with the soul kings body?
can his power work like when he sees future he can bring that future in present so can he bring a future where aizen doesn't fight him and joins him at the end and not fight alongside ichigo and renji right. Also how far of a future can he bring like when he absorbed soul king then if use almighty and see a future where he creates a new world by deafeating everyone and bring it in present if not maybe bec he can only see future to a limit he can't see the the full timeline of future or how that future ends

I just realized ichibei actually played himself ngl. he sealed yhwachs almighty to the point until he dies right so therefore when ichibei hit him with ichimonji in all black, that probably killed yhwach cuz its stated that if anything is covered in ichimonji it loses the name. so that means ichibei prob forgot this and ended to yhwach winning the whole fight💀
Nah. He really was sealed until he died. But he then gave someone the ability to foretell the future and make up the legend of the quincy king being revived 1000 years later with all his powers. Going against Yamamoto and dying was all part of the plan. He was already guaranteed to revive. It's why Pernida didn't become his cohort until recently, because they were still stuck together in the war against Yama.

Can anyone tell me why the soul king was turned into a vessel in the first place?
The Soul Reapers were worried the Soul King, who was a mixture of all races, would favor one of the other races over them and possible reconfigure the world again where Soul Reapers weren’t on top. So they betrayed him and made it so no one could reverse the higher-achy that was established.
Spoilers, so read at your risk.
It was explained in the light novels that the primordial world was eternal. The concept of death didn't exist, so things became stagnant. Even Hollofication was a temporary state, (in my interpretation being seen is something like an illness that evetually fixes itself) Long story short, the Soul King initially appeared to save everyone from the Hollows who'd begun to eat souls. His power allowed him to kill Hollows in an immortal world, thereby turning them into dust. However, the 5 ancestors did not believe this was good enough.
The Kuchiki ancestor believed an organization was needed to bring law and order.
The Shiba Ancestor believed Hollows should be purified rather than destroyed so they could be given a second chance.
The Shihoin Ancestor believed the instant cycle of Reishi needed to be stretched out in order to break the stagnant nature of the universe. Ie separate life and death in order to create a sense of beginning and end. Another family believed a "lid" needed to be created in order to cover up the primordial pit that became known as Hell.
Regardless of their reasoning, it all required the same thing: a new universe. And the only being with the power to make that happen was the Soul King. So, they sealed him in a cystal to use as a power source. They then split the universe in two, separating Reishi (spiritual matter) and Kishi (physical matter) to make Soul Society and the World of the Living. They made the Garganta, an infinite dimensional barrier, to keep them separate and then gathered all the dust from the Hollow corpses to make a third world within the Garganta. Huaco Mundo, a world for the Hollows.
The Tsunayashiro Ancestor, however, was terrified that the Soul King would change his mind (as it's believed he allowed himself to be sealed) and try to break out. Thus, he removed the Soul King's arms to trap him in a state between stagnation and progression. Then he went further and removed organs. Leaving the Soul King as nothing but a mutilated corpse to act as a battery that keeps the new universe intact. The 5 Ancestors then took it upon themselves to oversee this new universe they created. To "maintain balance."

Bruh, where was it stated that this encounter was before the fight with Yama? Because pretty much after that fight, Yhwach began rebirth process so at what point did he meet Ichibei and get his eyes sealed. I recall Yhwach saying that there was no future where he saw himself beating Yama so that had to imply that the fight with Yama was before this meeting. Would be pretty dumb to wage war without your most useful skill is all im saying.
There was no scene in the anime or manga that said "there was no future he saw himself beating yama"

I'm sure Kubo has his reasons but I'm gonna have to say this is one of those situations where the words of authors don't make sense. In the manga, Yhwach revealed certain features of the almighty and ichibei got really shocked. This scene analogously similar to the one where Aizen burned Dangai Ichigo's arm despite being massively weaker. Doesn't even make sense

Yama is now officially one of the weakest characters in the series, major L. The only thing that kept him relative to others, was the vague hope that he matched-up to Yhwach with the almighty and now that's gone.

If he has the almighty...how did he not see what Ichibei was up to? This is where bleach starts to piss me off sometimes. Characters doing stupid things that do not make 100 percent sense. They will take the long road to do something they could have done in two seconds. In fact, where is Ukitake 🤷🏾♂️

Parts of the Soul King seem immune to the Almighty. Yhwach was also caught off guard by Mimihagi. So Ichibei using Pernida to "defeat" Ywach makes sense.
It had been confirmed many times now that the almighty from the soulking is superior and that Ywach cannot see the soulking (or his parts) with his inferior version.

Okayy couple of things, maybe someone could help me with an answer with one.. So first question is how much does the world of the living know about the nature of things. This for me is one that bugs the shit out of me.. Didnt know that empire was part of the world of the living.. I mean didn't give it much thought the other day when i seen this, anyways we already know Yhwach did invaded and took over parts of the world of the living but then we flash forward in time, to like Karakura town and clearly normal people dont know what the hell is going on. Like random stuff ends up blowing up and or getting just destroyed, and everyone is like hahaha thats weird... Wonder whats going on, ohh well.. So how could Yhwach do so much in the world of the living and its not part of Earths history. A thousand years is not that far back, like people should know about the quincy or at the very least they should be a myth or something, idk maybe there is something i am missing an someone can give me a good answer on this.. Also to the second question i had forget about it, this has been way to long as is.. Lol
