Would be something to work hard and save for I am sure they are out of our current budget. Unless you all provide a means to finance. Definitely looks handy.

He may have been a bit quick on the draw! But he got him in the end. Practice makes perfect! 💪

I’ve operated about 10 of those chutes owned by different customers being a day worker. Haven’t seen one where the neck catch part actually catches . See when he caught that bull at first it didn’t latch ? Why he that ?

Good observation, Brian. Sometimes the head catch can slip if it's been overlubricated. Also, you can see this wasn't quite an accurate catch on this animal's head the first try, even the second try wasn't 100% on, as you want the cattle's head resting comfortably in the scoop. Brahman's are known to be quite rowdy. You can see it calms down once it is caught.
If you ever come across this issue again, this video might help: th-cam.com/video/aAhw9x-QA1M/w-d-xo.html

90% of the cattle we work are straight Brahman or Brahman influenced so I understand Brahmans. So if the head restraint isn’t holding its to much lubricant?

@@Arrowquip You can’t account for misuse by the operator, he needs to get better. Good instructional video. I love this chute and know how to use.

@@brianadams7183we have one as well for our Brahmans and over lubrication will cause that. Other thing is on bulls their necks tend to be thicker then the head, on our horned bull I catch him no problem as his horns prevent him backing up. The dehorned ones I just catch in the box and do what I need to do.
For what it’s worth, if it’s sliver on the chute one squirt of thin oil, anything else that hinges I lube the fire out of.

@@danziegneryup I’d say on this one he opened it to wide and let the bull come in a little too hot. 😂

It seems to me like that cow really doesn't like that, is there some other way to do whatever it is you guys are doin. Fyi I don't know anything about this, so if you say "No there isn't" then i gotta believe you

You'll see the cow relaxes when it's fully secured in the chute. It's kind of like a big hug once they are in it. The sides of the chute move to contain the animal, safely enclosing them for treatments or procedures, and greatly reducing the risk of injury to the animals and handlers.

    Difficult By horns

We've seen lots of different cattle breeds including highlands and longhorns move through these chutes with no issues!
