Turkish is one cuisine I have never tried. That chicken and lamb looked amazing. I’m going to visit my sister in Cyprus in October so look forward to trying the food there.

I've just come back from Izmir, and we took a day trip to Ephesus (Efes) which was beautiful. The Turkish food there was soo good, very similar to what you have but with more fish and seafood, especially around Kusadasi and Bodrum. Definitely a top 5 cuisine for me; Indian, Turkish, Mexican, Thai, Moroccan in that order!

Finally! I recommended Efes to you ages ago - glad you enjoyed it, Darren. There used to be an Efes in Great Titchfield St, which was my go-to. Quality food! 👍

Turkish food is so good!! 🇹🇷 All the yummy meats with herbs and spices and fresh salads. Delish!! Looks just as good as the last time you went.
I can make the Greek equivalent of the rice pudding. We call it Rizogolo. One of my fave desserts!! I'll have to make it for you next time I'm over. Absolutely great seeing you back in gorgeous London and on Daisy. 🏍 Loved it!!

I do love Turkish food always tasty and fresh flavours. The food here along with the service looked impeccable. That dessert rice pudding looked the real deal for deliciousness.

The best Turkish restaurant i ever ate in was in Gelsenkirchen Germany.
Amazing food, always packed, knew everything was going to be good full of Turkish families amazing kids there enjoying the food, not behaving badly.

EFES is a brand of beer in Turkey. I lived there in the 70's. Nice honest people.

"Sigara" means cigarette in Turkish, waitress isnt Turkish thats why she didnt point that both has same meaning.

My local DJ. They do a great mixed Chicken & Lamb doner wrap with all the salads. Their rice pudding is some of the best Ive ever had. They have one at the bottom of Brick Lane and opposite they also have a place just making and selling Turkish Pide. An East End institution!
That sound you made when taking the first bite of the chicken, I do that and the Mrs tells me off. She obviously doesn’t appreciate good food like I do. Turkish restaurants around me have all upped their game and are consistently full even on slower beginning of the week days.
That looked Off the Charts to me . What a tasty meal and good value.

When you go to Thailand I hope you don’t make the same mistake’s as you did in New York get out of the tourist trap ares and you will eat the best food in Asia 👍👍👍

It's interesting, nothing they served you is uniquely Turkish. You can get almost everything they served you from any Middle Eastern restaurant or Israeli restaurant. We have a lot of Persian restaurants around here and they have the exact same dishes.

DAMN. Now I want to seek out some Turkish cook books. And I have to wait until next month to do so; I just spent $60 (USD) on 3 Blu-Ray DVDs last week. Grrrr ...
Do not abandon hope. While you replenish your bank account, there are plenty of Turkish recipes on YT and contrary to cook books you see how the finished dish should look. Good luck from France👍
That looked damm good, But have got to ask, what was in the jars on the windows ? They looked like boiled eggs to me, Efes one of the main beer brands in Turkey, so a bit surprised that some one else can use the name, Great Vlog,

I always eat at Efes if I am staying at the Travelodge opposite. Never disappointed.
