- Haley Reinhart, accompanied by her father on guitar, performed a 2-song set at Chicago's famous Chess Records studio as part of the virtual music festival '(De)Tour' - a fundraising event benefiting NIVA (National Independent Venue Association www.nivassoc.org) and 'MusiCares' (www.grammy.com/musicares).
Both these organizations were created in the wake of the COVID19 pandemic to help struggling independent venues and their staff that were shuttered for the entire duration of the health crisis.

Why is Hailey not a megastar? Perfect pitch, perfect phrasing, perfect dynamics, the ability to switch from a whisper to a growl in a second. And she can sing ANY style of music. She is a miracle.

trezz8 fosho oh FFS 90% of “country” stars today don’t write their own material. Ever hear of Matraca Berg? Probably not, but she’s written hits for Faith Hill, Rebecca McEntire, Patty Loveless, Emmylou Harris, Kenny Chesney, Trisha Yearwood, Lee Ann Womack, Martina McBride, and quite a few others. Sure Emmylou Harris writes a some of her own songs, but she also sings a ton of other composers work - magnificently. “Sweet Old World” written by Lucinda Williams is a perfect example.
I can't play a note on a piano that is as clean as her ones.
A singer with built-in auto-tune. Almost one of a kind these days.

I am a blue collar father of 3 daughters and I am as calloused as they come, but this makes me break down Into tears everytime I listen to it. Not only because of its musical perfection, but because the bond between father and daughter is so tight. The only thing you have to hear to know that is the tone in her voice when she calls him dad. Great job Mr Reinhart!

Virtually every major record label has approached her and negotiated with her. However, so far none of them have managed to sign her to a record deal. Hence, because she doesn't have a record deal, her original music, which is damn good, isn't played on the radio and she also can't perform on network TV. Hence, the inevitable result is she always remains very obscure and very unknown.
I just discovered Haley on You Tube and I must say she is the best female vocalist I have ever heard
I’m 56 years old I went to about 150 Grateful Dead concerts I’ve seen Neil Young Carlos Santana traffic Allman Brothers Tedeschi trucks band and so many more I can’t even name them. I’ve been to over 1000 concerts in my life. I’m not trying to brag about that at all, I’m just making the point that while I love music there’s not a whole lot of it that surprises me anymore.
Just sitting here at home playing different songs struming along with my guitar and I stumbled upon this video. I don’t know the last time that I’ve been so moved, so shocked, so happy, so jaw-dropping impressed with someone making music from their heart. You and your dad just blew me away. Tomorrow morning when my wife and son wake up I’m gonna put this on for them and just smile. What you just did there was pure magic it touched into the heart of who we are and what we’re meant to be doing in this world just grooving on light and love and positive energy. Your voice and the way you sing connected with your dad‘s guitar playing and the way you guys are just obviously feeding off each other that comes out in just every note. Truly the MOST incredible female singer that I have EVER heard. Once is several lifetimes a truly transcendent voice comes along. This is IT. I don't say this lightly, I have really given this much thought. Haley has a voice that I can ONLY compare to Elvis Presley. Her natural ability to FEEL the much and express it into words and music has ONLY been experienced by me when listening to Elvis and NOW Haley.

That second song she sang is an original. As she is an excellent songwriter as well vocalist. She just need to get out of her own way so she can sign a record deal and hit the big leagues. If she never signs with a record label, then she can forget it because she will always remain very obscure as she is today and her career will also always remain very mediocre.

I absolutely love what Scott Bradlee and you Haley, along with the other talented performers and musicians did with the song. WOW, that was in 2015, I was revisiting the video again, (2023) and enjoying your performance, reading the comments, and someone linked this video. Your talent was obvious in 2015, my how your singing, your voice, has grown to be more beautiful. You sharing a bit of your childhood, your musical roots, growing up surrounded by not only music but Chicago Blues (can the Blues get any better than Chicago Blues?), growing up with a very talented father and mom, that eventually led to you and Harry recording your original Etta James-inspired song in the historical Chess Records Bldg. is so emotional I literally had tears streaming down my face the whole time you sang "Dont Know How To Love You". Beautiful song you two.

From the second I first heard her voice I knew she would be the powerhouse she is today. I never heard her American Idol stuff until way later. "White Rabbit" was the first and it was on TH-cam. I was having a night, one where some sugar cubes with additional flavorless flavor droplets may have been involved. I heard it and thought, " Holy Jupiter shit, Grace Slick would definitely grace this. Who is this voicehole grow back to?" Then "Creep" played... I had to pull over on the side of the damn road coz I couldn't see. Every hair on my neck was trying to stick to the seat, my gooseflesh had gooseflesh and I couldn't figure out why even when I looked at my steering wheel it looked like water running down my windshield until I realized it was my damned eyes that happened to be raining. I mean... damn.
She's legit about the music. She's an old soul for these times. And wears that shit like a badge of honor, as she should. Her parents definitely were destined to deliver, help cultivate and show her all the right things to make just a good frickin' person.

WTF? How is it that I'm just hearing this young lady sing for the first time today. Talent like this should not be without renown. I've watched a couple of different videos of this very talented young lady now and I have to say I have not heard anybody as of late that has this much presence in her performance. She is working a very wide gamut with her vocal range from her super sultry jazz renditions to this. I am truly blown away. And super sexy on top it all. Damn.

When I listened to her album, LoFi Soul, I thought Haley has the spirt of Etta James in her. If you don't own the album, you really need to buy it, there's isn't a bad song on the album.

Haley is one of the great, professional working musicians of our time, loving music. Haley is amazing. I love the original of Can't Find My Way Home, as the sound embodies what you feel when you truly can't find your way home after a hard night drinkin. 42 year old bloke here and not much gets to me (except for when a dog dies in a movie). However when Hayley thanked her father I shed a tear. It was so beautiful to see. That is my one true regret. Never finding the right lady that would give me the honour of becoming a dad.
I believe she's still relatively unknown because she values her family.
She sings with her parents band Midnight, she takes her sister to Europe with her, and has her father as backup in many occasions.
He actually backed her up on American Idol.

Wow! Off the charts. This gal and her dad are amazing. She wrote that song and am a fan for many years of Etta James, but this gal is absolutely unique and a joy to hear, Thank you Haley Reinhart and daddy for giving us this blessing of joy!
