- In this video, I'd walk you through How to Fix WPForms Not Sending Email Notifications to specified Email Addresses
We'd be fixing this by filling out the right information in the "Notification settings".
So if you happen to notice your emails aren't delivering as they should in some cases using a domain-specific email address as the "From Email" as mentioned within the video can improve deliverability (ie Contact@yourdomain.com).

Here's a trick to this: That's if you've tried what I recommend in this video.
Hover over the Settings on the left of your dashboard and select General. The email in the "Administration Email Address" Copy that and paste it into the "From Email" field.
Save your changes and give it another try. That should take care of things. Let me know if this works for you instead.

thanks for the video. fyi, using a gmail address as the "send to" didn't work for me but as soon as i used a yahoo address for the "send to" it worked. hope that helps someone.

Hi Victor, cool video. I followed your instructions but I still don't receive the email send from the form. Also tried what you wrote below the video, however, when click on that the form shows but there is nothing there to copy. It only shows the form. Did I do something wrong or forget something?
Hi, I have no problem with notifications, but the responsivity is terrible and I dont know, what to do with it. And the message is demaged, it overwrites its self... so I came back to pure WP forms...

Tried this process, but still, my WP Form not sending the Email Notifications.
Hi Victor, does this work for WP Forms Lite? Or do you have to have the Pro version in order to receive the email notifications? Right now I have the Lite version and it still isn’t sending me email notifications even after following your steps!
It works either with the pro or lite version.
Have you checked your spam folder though
@@victorchinedu thanks for your prompt reply! Yes, I have checked the spam folder and am still not receiving an email notification. Also, if I go to my WP forms within the dashboard it shows I have entries, however it will not let me view them unless I update to the Pro Version. Thoughts?
Try updating the email address on you're profile/user's settings to that of the Business email address you're trying to use in there.
Typically, by default it should work without any additional setup.
At times when that doesn't work try using the same Email address on the General Settings page or you could change it to a custom Email (the email on the settings page).
Then, use the exact same in the specified field in WPForms.

Tried this with a fake business email. Didn’t work, checked spam, nothing then with a real business email,same story😢😢😢😢

It's actually not needed, you can just insert that in and it works nonetheless.
I m not getting e-mail notification.

You could also change the Email under general settings (Administration Email address) to that which you put in there.
That's likely going to solve the issue.

During your site setup did you use the business mail to setup your wordpress installation

do you have the lite version? it's not working..
The demonstration was done on the lite version.
You could change the Business Email Address on the admin section to the exact same you plan to use in the field specified.
I am following same exact steps but mail is not going through in gmail inbox or spam. I dont want to follow wp mail smtp path. can I send email directly from wpform contact form through to gmail without wp mail smtp plugin?

Use this server to handle my e-mails. If not, change the MX records and uncheck this option.

Not necessarily, if you've got the Pro Version there's always a back up of each submission at the site's back end.
However the Lite version doesn't have that feature.
So in some sense yes you'd loose the information submitted by the client or Customer in this case till you've got that sorted out. That's why its always ideal to test your forms before directing traffic to your sales page.

So sorry to hear that, chances are the problem originates from the Email within the specified field. You might just try a couple of options on there and things might just work out fine.

Hey Clara, the field should be Editable, you just need to click into the field to make edits to it. Better still if the "Enable Notifications" at the top is turned off, just toggle it on to make edits to the fields in there.
Let me know if you have trouble with that still.

You could change the wordpress admin to the exact Email you inserted into that field. That usually takes care of things when done like so.

Not particularly.. Its got to be a live site I believe.
Unless of course you've configured your mail settings properly on the localhost. (I believe LOCAL by Flywheel offers that, I haven't given it a try though)
If you don't use LocalWP already you might want to give it a try.

The title of this tutorial is wrong and misleading, change to title and just remove Not from the title. Thanks reported as misleading.
The focus isn't on the title but on the problem, it solves.
It's a Title that worked in helping the video rank, I am sure the thousands of people that the video has helped so far don't mind its titling so long it helps with their technical issue. But thanks for your feedback, but it remains the same.
