I heard an interview with a self-published author a few years ago who said that getting on the NYT list made zero difference to their sales. Apparently making the list is good for bragging rights and could help you get an agent/publisher but that’s about it.
Since you asked...sure. Wet N' Wild black eyeliner, hairspray (any kind will do), Mr. Clean magic erasers, and Dunkin' Donuts original blend Keurig Pods (Medium roast only). Thank you!
This is so sad. Literature is not about being on a list, or selling or bragging. Then I heard she doesn't write literature, but self-help books of some sort. Still sad, but she is not talking to me. As I wannabe writer I have different goals in life.
".. and you should brag about it for the rest of your life." That's all I need to hear to know I should never buy Anna's book, ignore everything she says and switch the video off at 4:15. Don't brag.
I like Film Courage, but I'm super tired of getting only Chris Gore recommendations in my feed. All his creds are only for really being a critic, not an actual dramatic writer. I get his point of view, ad nauseum, his pov is incredibly saturated in TH-cam. Angry men mad about "woke agendas"... Yeah, I've heard the pov , please move on. Quit crying about it, and go write a movie Chris.
Getting on NYT bestseller for ghost writing a celebrity memoir is like getting rich on teaching people how to get rich. I like Anna's perspective sometimes, but let's be honest. This destroys her credibility.
I can just look at all the woke books on the list and know it’s a scam. I might make a fantasy book and I’d rather create a new audience of people who normally don’t read books. From what I’ve studied, this is necessary for new authors anyways because you need a small following just to get noticed anyways.
She wasn't a ghostwriter. She's a coauthor. There's a difference. Her name is literally on the cover in huge print. If you don't know the difference between the two terms, then you never had any chance of being on the list and should definitely be watching a different video. She also acknowledged that the actor's notoriety was one of the reasons why she chose to coauthor the book with him. Her advice is sound. It worked, didn't it?
@@remylebae3395 Same goes for you, Remy. Learn the difference between ghostwriting and co-authoring before you leave a comment saying "Facts". It makes you look less intelligent.
The purpose of the video wasn’t to give advice. It was to reveal painful truths about the NYT best sellers list. It’s in the title. Ironically, in the video she literally compared wanting to get on the list to wanting to win the lottery! So yes, you are right about that.

Glad it was helpful!
Who was the actor?
Tom Sizemore, I think
She's great
If it don't pay who cares?
I love this.
So... it is like the lottery. You win, then go broke within a few years. Good to know. Thanks for the heads up.
Helpful!
First comment!! Yeah! To celebrate I'm going to Walmart! Do y'all want anything!?

Is being a NY TBSA is the reason the author is broke or bad management of his/her money is🤷🏾♂️🤔

She is among my favorites of all your contributors. Her self-presentation is amusing and her insights are always smart and actionable.
Anna is awesome! More videos coming soon.
A very superb interview, so refreshing for aspiring authors who need a dose of reality.

I wonder what her definition of “Broke” is?
Stay woke🦉
