Hey dire, if you want the powa is capable of completely replacing the flux storage, in powa you have a thing called ender gate and its basically a flux point that you bind to emder cell and its range is infinite i think
If EMC links are limited per item, why not export blocks of redstone/lapis/etc instead? The compacting drawers should handle the down conversion for you
@@Dasffion I would've put iron on the collector instead of lapis because it's cheaper and you really don't need a lot of lapis. Otherwise, yeah I would've just gone the collector route for the cheap items to save some emc this early. If you wanted to be really cool about it, you could route the excess redstone into an emc link and have it passively get you a tiny bit of emc.
Thats how I managed it in my save, additionally using the storage downgrade on compacting drawers limits redstone to 64x double compressed redstone. Another thing to consider is using puller upgrades in the drawers and put the links how ever one produces the item right behind the drawer.
Dire, you have a regulate button in stock mode on your cards. You can use half as many cards as you used to accomplish the same goal. You wrote Laser IO; how do you forget this stuff?
Could save on EMC links by using ender chests to bring all of your dark matter from your EMC farms to one place. Considering the links have EMC it really wouldn't save a lot of effort i guess. Especially since you would really only need the T1 EMC link for the job.
Mechanical squeezer + 1 blaze rod = 5 blaze powder, craft it with ender pearls into ender eyes => you will receive 34% more EMC than you spend. It's scalable, pretty compact(but you can avoid it by direwiring =) ), less laggy and more energy efficient than terraforming with quarry or wood cutting. To bypass export limit of low tier links you can use condensers and export dark matter instead of rods and pearls, ratio kinda tricky 3 matters for rods, 10 matters for pearls. After processing you'll get lot of eyes which emc worth 17.5 dark matters
The fact that people like you still even try to suggest setups like that to Direwolf20 is funny to me. It's like you've never watched one of his series before. Dire isn't gonna do that. Most people aren't gonna do that. At that point, it would be better for him to just speedrun setting up MK. III condensers and just generating free resources that way en masse. Also "more energy efficient than wood cutting" is wrong because his current tree farm uses zero electricity, it's all powered by Create.
I've seen another poster use ezvillager to trade saplins to get emeralds to then trade emeralds to get sea lanterns. Making a huge emc win per cycle. All being level 1 villager so it is easy to get started. This is less for Dire since it was obviously posted several episodes ago, but more for anyone else interested. OF COURSE later in the pack the whole name of the game is EMC duping, this of course is the desired way to make massive amounts of EMC. I've seen choosen set it up, a but of fiddly work to get there but relatively easy once you have all of the pieces. It will more/less require knowledge/bits and bobbs from every mod to make it happen. I've even heard you will need anti-matter but TBH I don't know for sure. Still on the fence to try the pack myself(I have a few contenders that all came out about the same time) since I am playing another game atm.
Or you setup villager trading: Miner with Deepslate (2EMC) or butcher with raw chicken (64EMC but you can make it for free in a farm) > emerald and then Oceanograph 1x emerald > 4x Sealantern for 14K+EMC. Naturally you can generate Emeralds with a drygmy first as well as first step.
I guess that the Iron Farm from Easy villager is too easy for Direwolf :) And actually I have one but it is not connected to the drawers, If he would use pipes on the mob farm, he could make a line with, drawer controller, Energy condenser and then "not EMC Items" chest with a pipe on top and would have sorted iron, ender pearls, redstone and glowston + RF Dimentions things (for later) + enchanted book into a library (from Equipements) + baubly hearts (as bonus) in one go. With the pipe in "nearest first", it would fill up the drawer first and then overflow into the energy condenser.
I can't wait until Dire tries to autocraft something that needs 700 redstone, this over complication with the return to emc is definitely not gonna be a pain then
Or better yet changing his mind in 20 episodes to go back to standard storage and still not upgrading storage before voiding everything else despite not needing to void
I'm sure future Dire will readdress the cap once it becomes a problem, but he will have the EMC to absorb the stocking at that time. Right now, he just wants to get it started.
I think you should spend an episode really buffing up your power generation so your quarry can run 24/7. I know you are holding on on making any of the Uber EMC generators until later in the series where you need massive amounts of EMC. I don't have that patience, I would have already set up something to make resources infinite. Probably why I am not a YTer. I just want to rush and get it all done ASAP. My series would be like 10 episodes long.
Going to be honest, I bet there is a market for short but to the point series without all of the waffling about. Then you could also do a condensed episode on each mod pushing it to the limit. Choosen Architect and System Collapse (did I get their names right?) are both fairly popular and they don't waffle as much. For me personally I like to nail down power first, because with power I can run my machines. Once they are going I can start sledgehammering problems. Yea over engineered, but hey why not it isn't like resources are limited.
Dire knows it would be way to easy to max out the quarry on power, especially with access to craftable dimensional shards and emc'able powah resources. Probably the only thing that would hold back such a powah grab would be spirited crystals. But with blazing crystal blocks underneath thermo generators he could very easiley produce a couple of hundred thousand FE/t in the time of a single episode, and make the pack trivially easy by brute forcing. Players new to modded would do such a thing, but Dire wants to make video's, and not be done a week after he starts a series, but after months of milking it for daily video's. He's in the business of making video's, not bruteforcing modded minecraft packs.
Direwolf here's some of my thoughts. I hope you will see this. Also these are meant as suggestions nothing more. It's your game not mine. First off I don't think you have ever tried a mod called easy villagers. It's in this pack. It's worth playing with it. You can pick up villagers with an empty hand by shift right clicking. When you do this they are treated like items. There's alot of stuff that you can get by using it including a 1 block iron farm which you can have as many as you want, auto breeding and incubating to grow baby villagers, crop farms, trade stations and there's a block that can convert them into and back from zombies to lower the trading prices. Plus not only are there trade stations but there's an auto trade station too. Each of these things are done in single blocks. All this stuff can be automated. You wouldn't need to waste emc on iron because you could have an infinite amount of it Plus emeralds and there's bound to be stuff you can trade for to get even more emc! The other thing is you mentioned towards the end automating emc collection by using the emc links. In my opinion that should be a priority. Having higher tier collectors might make for faster emc conversion.
You could just set your emc link to something high in value and round-robin it to different energy condensers producing the different materials you want... you could also potentially regulate the buffer size by filling the slots in the chest with a single piece of cobble for example...
For future reference you can just attach an External Storage from RS or a Storage Bus from AE2 to the EMC links and directly access them as storage. It's doubtful that you'll need more than what the basic/lower tier links can output per sec, and this way your EMC stays in network, and your storage system will tell you exactly how much you have of each RSS
I did something really similar, but with a ae2 subnet instead of laserIO, ultimate smelting factories instead of netherite furnaces, and just relied on the max storage of the drawers instead of regulating. I love the refund for overflow items though, that's a great functionality of your system
I believe you could put the storage controller on the right-hand side of the cable and it would reach everywhere, since the drawers aren't centre-aligned with the basement
imo the pattern terminal(and grid for rs) should auto-pull the patterns from the system. At least with rs, you can use an exporter to constantly push them into it.
I did similar thing with the stocking mode of the item card. I haven’t tested if it will put back extra. My only gripe it will only do one item in the filter at a time.
You could use a emc link and a crafter to pull out compressed gravel*1 and craft it into gravel it returns a decent amount of EMC enough to get diamonds early game
Except that even the lowest tier 1 emc link would take 'quite' a few diamonds to craft in the first place. 4.49 million divided by 8192 per diamond would take approximately 548 diamonds to craft in the first place... So not exactly early game stuff!
@@MarijnRoorda using the destruction catalyst it's pretty easy to farm for diamonds also I was just mentioning that the gravel and the gravel*1 has broken EMC values due to one costing 9 EMC and the other one costing 4 EMC meaning you can just do it once you get 9 gravel in a regular crafting table and not have to risk mining for the diamonds until you have enough EMC for full diamond armor
No kidding, not having to visit the "tree farm" or the "mob farm" or the "quarry farm" would be invaluable to me. Granted knowing what I know now through other people posting on his video's I would probably do something different. /shrug
If EMC links say they have the items stored inside them, does that mean you could put a storage bus on one and have full AE access to your entire EMC worth of any item?
I think complicated autocrafts will get confused with this set up. Compacting draws are a problem because AE thinks you have nuggets, ingots and block so it over estimates howuch resource is available. Better to store ingots and teach the others. Also that strict 512 item limit will be a problem if AE wants more than 512 items for a craft. Best to just keep atleast 512 in stock and let the drawers cap the upper limit.
Am i dumb or cant you just put a storage bus directly on the emc link? Edit: I am stupid, it's to save time when crafting. But on another note, if the limit is items/second why not import/export redstone blocks instead of dust?
@@releejr025 Actually, the klein Star stores EMC that the Swiftwolf needs to enable flying. You can also store a emc resource in your inventory, such as redstone or glowstone, but obviously a klein star will keep you flying a whole lot longer.
That is the ultimate end goal of the pack and is gated behind every end game item in every mod, and then some. If you managed to make a transmutation link, the pack is over, since you have mastered every mod to get to that point and there be virtually no more point in playing the pack.
You can put storage upgrades into the controller to increase it range
you can WHAT?! Thats cool thx
Yeah it makes it do if you use the Netherite upgrades it is silly big area.
😆
Yup up to 3 upgrades. Meaning you can increase it by I think 24 blocks with 3 netherite upgrades. (8 blocks each)

It also has a player charger which works cross dimensions

There's also a limit on the amount of EMC they can export. Redstone blocks would have worked but not lapis. The red matter links are limited to 4k.

Simple Compacting Drawers are better for redstone/lapis/etc where you don't need three stages.
