I am a living witness to the healing Power of the Holy Spirit by the Grace of God and Todd White encourages me when I have moments of frustration in living amongst the dead while spreading the Gospel to persecutors and hateful people who refuse to believe in the goodness of Jesus. Those who criticize goodness, regardless of whether you believe in the Gospel or not, do you not recognize the darkness in the simple fact that your actions deliberately refute goodness? Yet perhaps you have no problem affirming negative and hateful behavior? Mocking goodness, regardless of what is believed by the person, is demonic behavior and it shouldn't take the Spirit to convict you of that logical concept, even those who abide strictly on intellect should be able to acknowledge that.
To anyone criticising Todd, you are not understanding what he is teaching. Jesus told us to follow Him, no t follow a particular doctrine. Jesus told His disciples to go to a household, to heal the sick and to cast out demons.. and THEN proclaim that the kingdom of heaven is here. I NEVER watch TV preachers any more--and I may very well be wrong--they may actually be very sincere, but when I saw Todd White on "Sid Roth," I couldn't get it out of my mind. Went to see him in Huntington, WV, in 2010? I believe was the year, and he was very interesting and encouraging! More than just "the prayer" is great! I encourage anyone who can to go see Todd and the other Neck Ministries people.

God only looks at the heart, He doesn't look at the outward appearance..He's led by the Holy Spirit so we must be careful what we say about God's anointed !
Love how you went into the personal space thing. It's sooo true. I've gone out one time with a pastor that was sooo much up into this guys grill that I feared he was gonna get punched out. I've seen other Christians invade peoples space without giving it a second thought.
God will call everyone to Him. (And of course it is their free will whether to receive the free gift of His salvation & grace.) But if you are in God's favor & you ask for God's favor on a person, He will grant it at that moment. Why is that important? 1. They have the chance to hear His call all the sooner. 2. It's important for you, the asker. You get to be more in alignment with His kingdom & will (it is His will that we pray for & give blessing to others). He wants us in partnership.
The thing that scares me about going 'back' to God is that I've already tried doing that in my life before. I can think of two times where I humbly prostrated myself before God (alone) and begged his mercy and that he would fill me with his love and peace. The earliest I can remember doing this was when I was 10. Each time I did this, the feeling that God was there subsided minutes after I got up and things went back to normal. If God is real, he would be real all the time.
it's the Holy Spirit that will give you the prophetic word, or just a thought about someone that you had no idea was coming. Not an evil 7-up or sprite or whatever. Just pray that God will use you for whatever He wants.

No, every person I know is either a very warm and genuine believer in Jesus, or they're haughty and stubborn about their faith in Jesus. I love them all. Although I would love to be able to discuss these issues with them instead of getting that 'blanket' christian message every time.

Would you remove every aspect of human decency from your relationship with this person? Would you go so far as to make sure that this person could no longer feel joy, peace, rest, or goodness? If you're answer is NO then your love is greater than God's.

So if you're in God's favor, each blessing draws you closer to him... right? But if you're not in God's favor, each denied blessing pushes you farther from him. Why would an unbeliever keep coming back to a well that has dried up? He won't, and yet God curses him if he moves on to another well. So if you're not in God's favor, you must keep trying to be, though it may be in vain. Either you are, or you're not, and you're cursed if you give up. That doesn't paint a very loving portrait of God.

Here's a thought: isn't the reality of a live, breathing person with Christ inside her spending a good portion of her completely crammed day (including now, in exhaustion) to talk with you about God's love for you (that she KNOWS in her spirit-filled heart) even better than a mustard seed? Joel, you are such a sweetheart. I love talking to you. And I totally resonate. I wrestled with these questions. God wants to be in a marriage with us. If we don't love Him of our own free will, it's not really love. Hell is where we go if we don't want God, if we want to be away from Him. It's awful, because God is the source of goodness, grace, peace, love, & everything that we truly yearn for. Without Him, there is only pain, sorrow, & despair. Did you get my other 2 posts?
It was my ultimate goal for a long time... My relationship with God was very one-sided however... or so it felt. It was like a bad relationship; why would I want to go back to that? I'm open to returning to Christ if Christ is open to opening up a little, quit being so stubborn and cryptic. It was like being in love with an invisible rat who lived in the walls.

You don't need God to show that kind of respect and compassion on a humanistic level... I really admire your compassion and appreciate your patience; but these characteristics are not limited to followers of Jesus. I choose to be a good, kind and loving individual, but that is because I enjoy being humble and honest and the reward for that is a sense of being noble. If it angers God that I can do this without him, then that's his problem, this demonstrates that God is not really all that great.
God says to use righteous judgement. Christians are to point out sin in someones life. The bible also says love rebukes and chastens. We are not to encourage someone who is living wickedly but to warn them of Gods judgement.

Jesus ``increased in favor with God and with all men`` as it says in Luke 2:52 so we can pray and ask for increase as well ! @Joel Todd is giving an example of our struggles but in the Bible we see Jesus bless the thief on the cross and a number of other examples of people giving greatly from lowly positions. Through Jesus we have access for enough for ourselves to share and to give at all times.

Joel, it's not about allowing it. It's that HE IS IT! There's no goodness, joy, or rest without Him, b/c He is the Source of those things. If people don't want to choose His goodness, then they can opt out.

Love how you went into the personal space thing. It's sooo true. I've gone out one time with a pastor that was sooo much up into this guys grill that I feared he was gonna get punched out. I've seen other Christians invade peoples space without giving it a second thought.
God will call everyone to Him. (And of course it is their free will whether to receive the free gift of His salvation & grace.) But if you are in God's favor & you ask for God's favor on a person, He will grant it at that moment. Why is that important? 1. They have the chance to hear His call all the sooner. 2. It's important for you, the asker. You get to be more in alignment with His kingdom & will (it is His will that we pray for & give blessing to others). He wants us in partnership.

The thing that scares me about going 'back' to God is that I've already tried doing that in my life before. I can think of two times where I humbly prostrated myself before God (alone) and begged his mercy and that he would fill me with his love and peace. The earliest I can remember doing this was when I was 10. Each time I did this, the feeling that God was there subsided minutes after I got up and things went back to normal. If God is real, he would be real all the time.

Would you remove every aspect of human decency from your relationship with this person? Would you go so far as to make sure that this person could no longer feel joy, peace, rest, or goodness? If you're answer is NO then your love is greater than God's.

So if you're in God's favor, each blessing draws you closer to him... right? But if you're not in God's favor, each denied blessing pushes you farther from him. Why would an unbeliever keep coming back to a well that has dried up? He won't, and yet God curses him if he moves on to another well. So if you're not in God's favor, you must keep trying to be, though it may be in vain. Either you are, or you're not, and you're cursed if you give up. That doesn't paint a very loving portrait of God.
What about when God gives truth into their lives?

Here's a thought: isn't the reality of a live, breathing person with Christ inside her spending a good portion of her completely crammed day (including now, in exhaustion) to talk with you about God's love for you (that she KNOWS in her spirit-filled heart) even better than a mustard seed? Joel, you are such a sweetheart. I love talking to you. And I totally resonate. I wrestled with these questions. God wants to be in a marriage with us. If we don't love Him of our own free will, it's not really love. Hell is where we go if we don't want God, if we want to be away from Him. It's awful, because God is the source of goodness, grace, peace, love, & everything that we truly yearn for. Without Him, there is only pain, sorrow, & despair. Did you get my other 2 posts?
It was my ultimate goal for a long time... My relationship with God was very one-sided however... or so it felt. It was like a bad relationship; why would I want to go back to that? I'm open to returning to Christ if Christ is open to opening up a little, quit being so stubborn and cryptic. It was like being in love with an invisible rat who lived in the walls.

You don't need God to show that kind of respect and compassion on a humanistic level... I really admire your compassion and appreciate your patience; but these characteristics are not limited to followers of Jesus. I choose to be a good, kind and loving individual, but that is because I enjoy being humble and honest and the reward for that is a sense of being noble. If it angers God that I can do this without him, then that's his problem, this demonstrates that God is not really all that great.

God says to use righteous judgement. Christians are to point out sin in someones life. The bible also says love rebukes and chastens. We are not to encourage someone who is living wickedly but to warn them of Gods judgement.

Jesus ``increased in favor with God and with all men`` as it says in Luke 2:52 so we can pray and ask for increase as well ! @Joel Todd is giving an example of our struggles but in the Bible we see Jesus bless the thief on the cross and a number of other examples of people giving greatly from lowly positions. Through Jesus we have access for enough for ourselves to share and to give at all times.
