    Interesting how so many people are seeing the negativity of it... YES, you will pay taxes (you pay taxes no matter what job you have), YES you will depreciate the value of your vehicle and YES you will spend a lot of money on gas. So what’s the big deal? If you know how to manage your money and costs, this can actually be a fairly profitable career. Get a vehicle that’s fuel efficient, learn how to use the app, and save for your taxes. When you file your taxes, make sure you do a Schedule-C Form, where you can deduct a lot of the costs that go into this job. If you do this long enough, you eventually learn how to work smarter, not harder.

      Freddy Hernandez - Hey Freddy. Thanks for your input. Listen, I understand completely from a mechanical point of view what this implies for your vehicle. As I stated in my comment, I truly understand that there are costs with this career, as there is with any other career in the world. However, I choose to concentrate on the pros instead of the cons in this matter. I truly believe that the pros far outweigh the cons. There’s some people that won’t see this as a good idea for a means of living and there’s other people that will. Whatever your point of view may be or opinion regarding this matter, I try my best to understand it and respect it. One of the things that I will say is that there’s many of us that have been doing this for years and live quite comfortably so we can’t say that this is a terrible idea after all. Hope all is well with you bud!

    Be advised that expectations and the reality of the job vary greatly depending on the city you drive. This video is about 75% accurate. There are some universal ideas Arty presents and there are also a lot of variances that he does not seem to be aware of in different markets. Find a driver or community in your market to find out what the reality of income will be. Some markets will also favor one platform over the other i.e Lyft vs. Uber. I would recommend actually taking a few rides and ask the driver a few questions. Good luck!

    I am surprised at the number of negative responses to one of the most detailed, informed & intelligent topic presentations I've ever seen. The main criticisms were market ("How can you make this claim about earnings when you're in only one town?") and bonuses ("My app has nothing about bonuses.") He covered both. He mentioned working in a place like Phoenix would rule out bonuses, and illustrated, in detail, how you could get "pings" by driving up and down streets with shopping plazas and apartment complexes, verses waiting in line at an airport. I have talked with dozens of drivers, and they all said basically the same thing this guy said in his thoroughly credible presentation.

Wasted 30 minutes hoping for him to back the statement he made in the first 2 minutes of his spiel. "HOW TO GENERATE THE MOST AMOUNT OF INCOME IN YOUR HOMETOWN." Not a huge city. I am one of 3 Uber&Lyft drivers. I may go 2 weeks before I get a ping from Lyft. 2days, a ping from Uber. I already drive peak days/hours. I can be anywhere in the COUNTY and be pinged by someone looking. Don't even have to be in a good spot. Was hoping for some guidance a little less remedial.

    • @DavidMilgate
      @DavidMilgate 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think the issue people have with this is the title.
      $2000/week simply isn't feasible in certain cities or towns.`$1000 is about the max in the city I drive in. Lyft has far too many drivers and not enough people marketing to passengers. Combine that with a subpar bonus for signing up ($2 off/ride for the first 5 rides). Uber gives out $20 off for the first ride which makes 90% of the first riders get a free ride or they'll take a much cheaper first long ride to maximize on that bonus.
      While logically Lyft's bonuses make more sense (unless you take a $20+ ride), a free ride is much more appealing than 5 cheaper rides which average out to a less expensive experience.

  • @cappybenton

    Ove this video man, you hit every bit on the notch, I'm from Chicago and on average per day one can make upwards of 200 at most due to for every 5 cars on the road there's a ride share car via it be Lyft, uber, via, vue, and soon to be Amazon ride share and also BMW ride share, I went on the road one day to test the money making of Lyft and this was a Friday, so I pulled off 16 hours before Lyft automatically cut me off due to the max hours, I only pulled in 300 max, and riders her in Chicago hate to tip, I mean hate to, no matter the great services one provides, weather it be news papers, snacks, water, juice, candy, music, rides just don't tip, also yes renting with Lyft is Hertz is taxing 206.00 us taxes 60.00 and what other fees usually comes off at around 274 per week, so if you break that down per week for 4 weeks in that month, one is paying Lyft around most hi hundred here not adding the bonuses for completing the ride base line for 75 bonus one has to have completed no less then 90 and for 105 bonus its 115 rides and for 180 bonus its 130 rides, rides so if you factor that in then yeah, but everything you've shared is on point, I never sit in airport hues never waste of time, I have over 7000 rides giving to my name so far, and everything you've shared it dead on, I avoid high ways while doing shared rides so that I can pick up as I drop off,

    I almost passed away a few years ago, and after that happened I started having experiences with mediumship directly. I was really into telepathy before, but I wasn’t really certain that it is real. I definitely know it is now, and I hear conversations constantly in my mind from nonphysical beings of light. I currently do deliveries in the cannabis industry, and I am being veered over to ride sharing. I wasn’t really sure if the money is there or not, but after watching your video it put my mind at ease. Reality is very intense. You’re a very giving soul, so I just wanted to give back. The music industry is leading (in a lot of ways) people to certainty of a higher awareness. Check out the lyrics to these songs: Nirvana “Lithium”, Alice In Chains “Voices”, 311 “Large In The Margin” & “Inner Light Spectrum”, Pearl Jam “Even Flow”. I constantly see synchronicities line up taking place in the outer world that match what I am focused on internally. It’s freaky... Check out Joe Dispenza’s books if you don’t know about him already. He is pretty awesome. Thanks for the advice, and your warmth is being returned!

    Everyone complains about the hours and pay and all that crap, treat it as a business and not just a side hustle, if your doing it full time. Shoot, I’m a big rig driver that’s drives from Vegas to California and back every day, 12 hours a day, no weekends off and make $1000 a week, believe me, I would much rather do the lift thing and stay local and have the ability to stop whenever I want and be comfortable in my own car. So to all those who complain, take it for what it’s worth and if it doesn’t work, then do something else. I plan on doing this to pay of some things, save some money to invest in some apartment buildings, now that’s where the money is...passive income then 10x it like Grant Cardone says! I’ve been driving Lyft for 3 years part-time, average of $15/hr. in DMV. Lyft bonuses has improved because they’ve added a new feature to individual rides instead of if you get a certain number of rides. Ride can be fun and easy at times but it does take work, you have to look once the navigation has led you to an address to be in the exact space or location, you sometimes have to figure it out. You will have some complainers or some people who will make you smile. Keep your car clean, which I had a problem with at times.

    I drive Lyft in Fort Collins and I had no problem in making over a $1000 in a week . I discovered that positioning myself in a favorable location would get me pings all day long and all I had to do was stay persistent and the rides come my way, albeit it requires staying in driver mode for 12 hours, generally taking an hour or so break midday when demand is low, walking the dog , eating some toast and tea. then back to the grind stone. The Lyft using people in this town appreciate a driver who is willing to be available in the underserved areas and tip accordingly, Just my 2 cents.

      100% correct. This is why 99% of the U/L videos on YT are totally worthless. Most are from guys in a market (SFO) where a blindman could bank. Most markets including Vegas now are hosed. At best you are looking at $20 Gross per hour way before expenses. After that exercise you are making maybe $10 clear. Which is then used to pay the other pile of bills you have for normal living.

    Excellent. Currently driving UBER in Dallas. Having fun and addicted. Driving is like fishing...you find the right place to cast your line. A big city like Dallas, New York, LA, or Chicago just gives one more options, I'd guess, than most other areas. I love the freedom that ridesharing offers to pursue other dreams. I'm a children's entertainer. Success with UBER allows me to pursue success in that area. Thanks for what you have offered here. It helps greatly.
