One (very specific) thing that bothers me is that despite all the time that has passed, all the improvements in technology, I simply do not have the option to play Pokémon in my language (Portuguese), even though it is one of the 10 most spoken languages in the world. It is infuriating that after nine generations nothing has changed.
I think the Pokemon's Switch Era can be described as "disappointment". They were not bad per se but not the best either, we can see the potential and that is precisely why it is frustrating. Even more when you compare with other franchises that got the right treatment and you clearly see an evolution in them.

I have a feeling maybe Arceus brought you to the past to deal with Volo since he probably is the one that upset Palkia and Dialga but that's just a hunch.
For me, I don't think we need a Big Bad in the stories. I have played every Gen and I don't even remember the villian from Gold/Silver or Diamond/Pearl. I stopped caring about the story once I saw we were ten year olds sent out to save the world. Sword/Shield was the first story I cared about since Black2/White2 and the darker tone it had was really unexpected. I do agree with you about HM Slaves tho, nobody needs that to come back.
i really don't see the newer games beeing this hatefull things people portrait,Sword and Shield was Amazing,Scarlet and Violet has the best writing in the history of the saga,not saying that they are perfect,no they arent,but the games are amazing. SV should had been a 10/10 game,but the performance has it gone to a 7.5/10,specially with the fact that we have very heavy games in the same console that works amazingly. SwSh is easily a 9/10 ,the 'big bad team' was something that looked like was a third tought thing slaped onto the game that didnt have a spot on it,but i really loved the Championship aspect of it instead of the classic elite four,making it far more exciting,specially with that you could fight the Gym Leaders. Raids and another minigames are great for the interactivity with other players. Not having the need for Hm Slaves is a god sent,and the pc with you all times is amazing as well,since you can just change your team or see a new mon you capture to think if you're puting in the team or just if they are neat,not roting so much on the boxes.
personally hated the story aspect of galar, sinjoh and paldea haha i haven’t read a single dialogue with interest Violet forced me to read and pay attention due to the progression of the game. it’s over whelming. I don’t want to read in my recreation that’s not a book… I just wanna play a game. Arceus is 10,000x more fun when the story mode is complete I can just hang out in quit spaces in the wild or with crazed monsters out for my head like Garchomp or Alpha Blissy with random surprises of shinies. I really enjoyed Brilliant Diamond for its simplicity wish there was a Radiant Platinum
20:00 never tought of it,since i dont see pokemon as a rpg so much,but yeah,specially with the PLA as an example,side quests and interactions with the world,are something that would benefit the games a LOT,specially with the advent of something that other rpgs had dont since the begining and pokemon is doing it now,with craft scraps and pokemon loot. voice acting is a glaring weakness,is very sad. Villains for me are very unnecessary,since the beggining they seen so strange for the main character to deal with then,with the champions and gym leaders that could do it .The Mc is the Mc but we are often depicted as a teenish kid [in the yearlier games often 10~12 years and in the newer ones 14~16ish,why a Giovanni like character would look at you even if you beat then in a pokemon battle and back away? don't make much sense for me,a pokemon vilain would be interesting but not much more.
Loves and hates of Pokemon aside, maybe it is best to just enjoy the games for what they are. And don't scrutinize them too closely. It's best not to get caught up in the weeds about these things. 😅🌾🌾🌾🌾🌾🤯
Oh for sure, one of the problems with modern gaming in general is that people MAGNIFY the negatives and don’t allow themselves to truly indulge in the positives enough, these games can still be VERY much enjoyable, despite their flaws just like any other game 😤😤
