Thanks for your posting. The reason that the 7.5” is not available in Massachusetts is because of their tyrannical policy on firearms. In order for any firearm to by approved in Massachusetts the manufacturer must give (6) firearms and $50,000 for each model “for testing purposes”. Even if another similar model is approved. Each variant must go through the same testing of (6) models and $50k donated for testing. It’s absolutely B.S…. A color or barrel length or different sight… means that the manufacturer must donate guns and a ridiculous amount of money to get in the approved list. It’s tyranny! And absolute B.S…. I hope every manufacturer sues Massachusetts!

Yes I really like the longer barrel. I haven’t been able to shoot it yet though. I think the longer sight radius will help with accuracy. Mr. Hamilton was my inspiration for picking this one up. Between him and Boomstick they are killing me, LOL 😂 On a serious note, I’m going to try to get a Ransom Rest insert to fit the Wrangler. I think it would be nice to do some testing and comparisons.
@@firearmsaddictloveguns I could be wrong but I think the Single Six grips are the same & possibly certain Vaqueros but I don't know if it's the new model or old model version. Research time. Hope you are feeling better. 👍 🙏 Checked real quick & the XR3- Red frame grips should work & should be same as Diamondback Sidekick. 👍
@@billdye3530 thanks, yes the single six uses the same grip frame. I think I’m felling somewhat better. I’ve only had a few dizzy spells from the vertigo. I was changing the oil in my car the other day. When I stood up from crawling out from underneath. I thought I was going to vomit. Everything was spinning it wasn’t fun. I appreciate you asking. 🙂
For me these are the winner over the other sa 22 revolvers. I just get the better feel from the Ruger and their customer service is great. That's just my opinion. Would love to have the longer barrels for sure. Take care

i just seen one of these at the local gun shop, and was completely blown away by how nice this handy revolver looks with a longer barrel. very sweet little revolver.
now they need to come out with a drop in magnum cylinder in gold, pvd blue, scroll worked cylinders. lol.
Ruger makes some of the finest firearms there is.

I think they look great with the long barrel too. I think the longer barrel will be more precise because of the longer distance between the sights. I’d love the 70’s or even the 50’s it’s been spitting snow all day today. Thankfully nothing is sticking though. Hope you’re doing well.

@@firearmsaddictloveguns Current status on handguns up here, NON TRANSFERABLE. You can keep what you have but you cannot sell, trade or bequeath. Many shops got stuck with inventory they can no longer sell.

Got mine a few days after Christmas from Davidsons. I was bummed that one chamber in particular is hard to load and eject from. I’m going to try to get a new cylinder from Ruger and pray for the best. Unlike a previous birds head version this 7.5 inch version is dead nuts accurate out to ten yards.

my experience, Ruger has a great warranty program. It is quite accurate. I actually filmed an accuracy video today that should be available for viewing on Tuesday. Thanks for watching, good luck on the repair, hopefully they’ll just ship you a replacement cylinder.
I’m wanting a longer one so bad! But I’ll have to wait a few months until I get settled in my new state.

I had a Colt Frontier with the 7.5” barrel and adjustable sights which was stolen years ago. I now have a compact Bearcat but I guess it’s time to get a new Ruger 22LR with the 7.5” barrel.
Sorry to hear about your Colt being stolen. I bet that was devastating. I like the Bearcats, they are on the small side though. I don’t think you can go wrong with the Wrangler. Thank you for checking out my video.
@@firearmsaddictloveguns Yes, that Colt was the most accurate 22 LR handgun that I ever owned. I also have a Mark III but there's something especial about a Colt SA revolver. Sadly, the LAPD was not able to recover my Colt. I will get the Wrangler tomorrow. Thank again for your nice video.

@@firearmsaddictloveguns I just might get one today. I have a Taylors Cattleman 7th Cavalry with the BP frame but haven't fired it yet. 45 Colt ammo is hard to find and expensive in my area so I guess a 22 LR could be more affordable. Thanks for the nice video.

These look so much better than the Heritage Rough Rider. I wish they made them all shiny black or something similar. not a big fan of cerakote on a gun like the Single Action Army. But nonetheless still a very look good looking gun.

Just put a burnt bronze 7.5 on layaway. Have the 4.625 in already. Around 500 rounds through it without a issue. SWEET LITTLE GUNS. MUCH BETTER THAN THE HERITAGE RR .
I have both the Heritage RR & Ruger Wrangler. I agree the Ruger is a step ahead for sure. I like the Burnt Bronze, I’m sure you’ll love it. Thanks for checking out my video.

Thanks for watching and asking a question. I have 13 few Heritage Rough Riders. I have had problems with 2 of them, this is a pretty high percentage. The problems I have experienced are lite strikes. My 9 shot has so many that it’s just frustrating to take to the range. I also have a Tactical Cowboy and it had to be sent back before I even did the paperwork on it. The problem was the thread protector was tightened too much and the barrel would unthread. Heritage fixed it under warranty by replacing the entire barrel. For me if Ruger offers a Wrangler in similar configuration to a RR I’ll go with the Ruger. I do like Heritage because they offer so much unusual barrel lengths and the Rancher is fun. I hope this information helps you.

I find it funny they don't have a ban on j frame air weight revolvers but the wrangler is hated by the shitty soda both have aluminum frames one even fires a decently powerful round compared to the banned gun witch is literally a little 22lr

No... C'mon Ruger. 7.5? It just ain't right.
They should've stuck to the three standard SAA style revolver barrel lengths. I think they would've sold much better. I know I would've liked them better.
I love the birdshead grip model, although a 4&3/4 length in the birdshead grip would've prob sold well too, both are nice. But I feel like they def should've at least sold the three traditional lengths first.

Thanks, to my knowledge they are not discontinuing the 4.62” normal barrel lengths. It’s my understanding they just added the 3.75”, 6.5”, & 7.5” as additional options. With the 3 color options in each barrel length. We’ve got 9 new Wrangler options. I would love to see a birdshead in the 4.62” too. Thanks so much for watching.
7.5" is the ORIGINAL SAA army issued firearm. This, however, is much smaller than a peacemaker.

How does this compare to a heritage Arms revolver in your opinions?
I have plenty of the Heritage Rough Riders. I like them, but to me, the Ruger’s are made to a higher quality. I hope this is helpful to you.

@@RubyRidgeWaco I’m not sure about double the price. Though I have never had a problem with a Ruger. I have had problems with 3 of my Heritage Rough Riders. All 3 times Heritage took care of the problem. It took about a month and a half each time.
