hey Flair, a few recommendations for the coyote sets 1) make the trap about 7" away from the hole and 3"-4" offset either side, 2) i wouldn't funnel the yote in so much, i would keep the sides more open so that they dont feel confined, just make sure the bait hole is deep enough and put the bait all the way at the bottom and make that yote walk around. as long as the trap doesn't move and it wants the bait, then itll stay there a while. 3) ive found using cotton swabs and cotton balls for scent holding works best 4) if youre trying to bring coyotes into a spot then use a call lure or gland lure and put it up on a tree branch or fence post near the trap so that way the wind can carry the smell, ive found it works really well

Where are you must put boom boom in the hole
Those are definitely badger holes. So what you want to do is make a dirt hole set. But use beaver castor , bait, and that gland lure. Also stuff a bunch of fur or feathers down the hole. If he is there you will catch him. They are easy you just have to find them! Thanks!

Coyotes hunt pet dogs , it's just an unknown factor when trapping that leaves a question if it's good or bad . I live in the city and coyotes have legit ambushed chihuahuas beside their owner on the beach strip . I hear them almost every summer night .
@@jordangarneau3022 It was about wearing his trapping gloves for everything. Not just the dog. Coyotes are smart. They won't go near human scent. Urban coyotes are entirely different. They have lost their fear of people and their smells.

Don't get a male guard burro. Ours killed lambs as fast as they could escape through the temporary fencing my parents thought was a smart idea. Even got the thing fixed and the damn thing bit me everytime I tried to brush it.

TIPS:
1. You can use peat moss to cover your traps because it doesn’t freeze. Then put a light layer of dirt on top so it doesn’t blow away
2. Use your anchor driver to make your dirt hole and you can widen it a bit
3. I’d recommend using Mb 550 coyote traps because the pans click when set and do not move. Other pans move a little before setting off giving the coyote a chance of lifting its foot
4. You can buy salt and sprinkle it around the jaws in the mud so it doesn’t freeze
5. I recommend buying a knee pad for when setting traps to limit scent
A coyote doesnt care abt your knees as long as you like kick it over that place its good

@FLAIR I'm a photographer and if you store your equipment in a warm house before putting it out it can fog up from the warm air inside because of the weather seal. Before put out your trail cam leave it open in a cool garage before closing it. With the weather seal it will trap the humid air from the inside and fog once cold enough if you don't take that step. Could also be a bad seal but they usually are good.
