    Perfect designed, it may seem little bit overcomplicated compared to regular injection molded toy, but here is much more details and fun to build it. Awesome work keep goin.

      Thank you!
      The level of complexity is this for several reasons:
      - I designed all parts so that they could be printed without brims and rafts,
      - each part fits into the working area of the smallest printer I have (8 cm * 8 cm * 7.5 cm),
      - you can choose the colors of parts more freely, even on printers that cannot replace the filament during printing,
      - it's a toy, so to make repairs much easier, it was divided into small parts. If something breaks, all you need to do is print a small part (I run workshops for children with these trains - a total of over 70 locomotives and wagons, after all-day workshops with over 100 children, all repairs and printing of spare parts take no more than an hour).
      Moreover, assembling and designing colors is also part of the fun, best if it is done together with the child :)

      @@PrintedToys It's totally make sense.
      I really like this idea of combining 3D printing and creating toys, teaching children technical thinking and create beautiful childhood memories.
      Great to see things like this in this troubled times.

      Już jest na stronie :) Trochę czasu się składa, ale moim zdaniem warto, bo całkiem fajnie wygląda w kolekcji.

    can i ask what screws you recommend please

    • @PrintedToys
      @PrintedToys  14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The best screws are M2.2x6.5 (metric, mentioned in the video). I'm still looking for an inch equivalent, probably size #2 from the American system might be good. Alternatively, the holes can be reamed to adjust to other sizes.

    Does it come with the filament and screws?

    • @PrintedToys
      @PrintedToys  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No, you print with your own filament, you also have to buy the screws yourself. However, the project files are completely free.

      Ever think about making these pre-made?

    • @PrintedToys
      @PrintedToys  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@fatoumatasama4745 Yes, I thought about it once, but it's too complicated for mass production. This is a product for hobbyists who will treat assembly as part of the fun.
      And besides, and quite honestly: I don't like printing, I enjoy designing more :)

      For a new train I recommend the Prussian T18, speaking of steam trains where is that one steam from that one video?
