Hello, everybody! So after about 8-9 months, SVtFoE finally came back for it's premiere of season 4.
So far, I'd say we're off to a good start. A good chunk of that is from the Toffee hint given in the first episode.
I feel like we're about to get hit with a megalodon plot twist.

Seeing Blue be all Giddy during the Toffee Hint and actually having high hopes for the Season is just sad
Just imagine, after glosserick said that “killing toffee was a mistake”. We cut to the goo, the eyeball and toffees skeleton from battle for mewni. Toffee slowly regenerates and puts back his suit. Then he says his signature line “SURPRISE” and then the episode ends. That would be a godly ending for the premiere.

I have a few theories.
1. Toffee being defeated was not part of Glossaryk's plan, and thus things aren't going to turn out the way he wants them to unless Toffee comes back.
2. This one is kind of far fetched, but maybe glossaryk forsaw star and toffee teaming up to take down a bigger threat, and without toffee this bigger enemy cant be defeated.
Also would like to mention that toffee's motive wasn't just to get his finger back. He also wanted to corrupt magic and destroy mewni as revenge for destorying his army
I have the feeling that Toffee never wanted to destroy the Butterfly or its kingdom, at least not since its first appearance in Fortune Cookies, I believe that its main objective was only to eliminate All the existing Magic so that the Butterfly and other royal families they lost what made them superior to the Monsters.
But of course getting to that point required sacrifices and Toffee was willing to do anything to achieve his goal, just like the character Magneto for example, "The End justifies the means", he knew that while the other races had access to magic the Monsters would never have the opportunity to live with equality.
I think the show might be hinting that eclipsa’s husband might be prejudice towards mewmans and since eclipsa’s in charge history might repeat itself, with mewmans and monsters having switched places

the thing about Toffee, there have been debates for a while about what his true intentions were. The lizards were at war with the Mumans, so a arguably he was just doing his job as a general, and even shows Moon a good deal of respect when they first meet. The lizard army collapses not due to military victory, but the lizards becoming too terrified to fight after Moon permanently cuts off his finger. From there I suspect that he didnt want revenge, but just to regain his dignity and get his finger back by going into the wand, which he tries to do by getting Star to use the whispering spell. But the kicker is, if Star never used the whispering spell the second time, Toffee would have gotten his finger back and been on his way. The wand, and magic altogether would have been destroyed, but everyone would have been fine still. Perhaps Season 4 will take a turn in the "magic vs. dark magic" debate and take the stand that all magic is bad.

To be honest, I already suspected Toffee wasn't truly evil ever since Eclipsa happened, I figured out he was pretty much a general doing his job in the beginning, and all he wanted was his finger back, then did the "die" with star..We never really got too much of his development (besides being the #1 "antagonist" in this show with his pristine ability to wait) or backstory, so I'm all in for the return of our raptor holy messiah!
The very last question at the end of the video actually gave me chills wow

I believe that Toffee’s motive was to make moon feel powerless, just like how he felt powerless on that day when he lost his finger and could never grow it back. He wanted to feel like he was in control of the situation again. (Also if you received a comment from me that’s similar to this one, I’m sorry, for some reason I when finished it it didn’t appear anywhere on my screen, even when I refreshed the page.)
Yeah but why care for that ONE moment where he felt like he was in control, he clearly had something else on his mind plus he was going somewhere else, I believe he needed his finger to do something evil so he could take over Mewnie

My Actual Thoughts On Glossaryck and Toffee:
Glossaryck obviously isn't on anyone's side. He rarely directly helps people and usually makes the job harder for them. First, he gave Moon the idea to go to Eclipsa for help to defeat Toffee. Glossaryck helped Star get Toffee's finger, then he refused to help her after Ludo got the Magic Spellbook. The reasoning he gave for this was that he helps whoever has the Spellbook, but it's not his real reason (Plus he was helped Marco in his first appearance just because Marco gave him pudding which shows that he can bend the rules). He said he knew that Ludo was going to destroy the Spellbook and did nothing about it, letting himself "die". Then he tried to convince Star NOT to get her "Butterfly Form" by dipping her hands in his pudding after she "died". After he was revived, he INTENTIONALLY did nothing, when he knew all about Eclipsa, Globgor and Meteora. And at the beginning of Season 4 he tried to get Star to doubt herself, and what she did, specifically her choice to go to the Magic Dimension.
Why did he do any of this? I think he wants a war. Maybe. If Eclipsa was freed, the monsters might be able to have another (more competent???) leader for their rebellion. If Toffee was revived and the wand was broken, another war could break out with Toffee leading but it would be more evenly matched. Now that Eclipsa is in charge, the monsters and mewmans are more divided than ever. But that's all I got.
What is Toffee's plan though? First he wanted Star's Wand to explode and to become part of it. Then he wanted his finger back so he could become whole. What this would have accomplished is his finger returning, him being made of bad magic and Star and her Wand being destroyed. This seems like a very small victory for such a grand plan. He must have some bigger goal. He doesn't want to kill Moon, Marco or Ludo because he would have done that after he was reformed. He doesn't want peace with mewmans because he killed Moon's Mom all those years ago and he killed Star who wanted peace between monsters. He probably doesn't want anything to do with Eclipsa and Meteora because he would have went straight to them at some point in time, because he was free to do what he wanted for years before the show started. BUT WHAT DOES HE WANT TO DO??? I really can't think of anything. The only theory I have here is that maybe Toffee is in the Magic Dimension or Star's Wand because he's made out of Dark Magic and there are beings of Pure Magic that live in the Magic Dimension (like the unicorns) and Star's Wand (Narwhals or Spider With a Top Hat) but I feel like that's a stretch.
Honestly, I can't think of anything that seems plausible for either of these characters and I hope that the show actually explains what their plans are and that they aren't really stupid. I have a hunch that this season will be like last season where there were a lot of episodes that don't further the plot: like stuff with Kelly and Jackie. I hope I'm wrong.

And it's not a bad writing decision either. Some antagonists in various films/TV series don't have a clear motive, and that hurts the experience more than it does enhance.

According to AwestruckVox, Star might "need" Toffee to truly establish peace between monsters and Mewmans. To which, I offer this as a rebuttal.
IS he the key to achieving that?
I mean...it looked like Toffee was more interested in conquest than peaceful coexistence. So, I'm still questioning why Glossy thinks "killing" Toffee was a "mistake"

The one thing I'm concerned about is Eclipsa turning evil at the end. I don't think it will happen, but the way the whole thing surrounding her is shown just makes me feel like I cannot 100% trust her... and I love her which is the worst part :C
Also, I've been wondering what the heck Toffee is all this time. And the "Is Toffee even evil" line just MURDERED me, because is possible he isn't... AHHH... xD

Far-flung thought: we've seen Marco drawn to dark magic and corrupting power before, so if Toffee wasn't necessarily "evil" then we have another insight as to why he called Marco a disappointment.
I just realized this, but Toffee's other shoulder's skull has diamonds, maybe they represent the Princesses whose parents he's killed, I don't know, this is just something I thought of randomly.

I am suspicious cause I can asume the only reason he really wanted his finger back was only to prove he was "better" and smarter than them. Tho partly still I think he is evil since he killed Moon's mom when she tried to sign that peace thing with the monsters. But then again Eclipsa already was "gone" at the time so maybe it was out of rage Toffee did all that? I dont know. Lets wait further. Also I still think Marco's dream from season 2 I think (the one with him wearing a suit) needs to become true. Part of it already became true (like him actually saying his farewell to his friends) and who knows what else couls happen. I still find ominous the ending of season 1 with marco seeing his reflection where Toffee's suit is resting on. I think I rambled enought already xD
I understand how going into the Magic Dimension was a mistake since the unicorn would have brought back Moon. But I don’t know about Toffee. If he wasn’t evil (according to your theory), then why did he kill Moon’s mother? Was she secretly evil?

I think Toffee and Glosseryk are at odds against each other. I think Toffee wants to eliminate magic use in Mewni, while Glosseryk keeps it going. Which ever side uses magic, dominates the other. If you remember, Moon had lost the use of magic, but the magic returned due to Star. Glosseryk seems to manipulate ppl. And this manipulation ends up forcing someone to use magic and/or go in a specific direction. No magic = no Glosseryk. I think he keeps things stirred up.

Theory, Glossaryck is gettin' Ludo'd.
Glossaryck's new voice (besides being changed cause of a sex offender) is actually Toffee in control Glossaryck saying it was a mistake is Toffee coming out to threaten star, as a "you shouldn't have done that."
At the end of the season, Toffee will escape Glossaryck, and cause havoc, and then boom the end of the series, but like, Toffee Glossaryck would be amazing.
Toffee got completely... rekt as they say. Which makes me wonder if Globgor may be able to bring him back or if Toffee’s regeneration still ended up working after he was practically liquified.
