Anubis Plays it essentially was. They re invented themselves and basically became a new band but kept the name. Hence why after '90 they never played anything pre cfh
That’s cool, I never really looked at the Hertz over the decades, just recently started hearing about how popular setting your tuner to 432 is. Now he said, 430 Hz for Pantera. Cool, I can try that also. Growing up in the 80s, I knew it was A-440, then we would all mostly just tune down a half step. I never looked at any of the numbers. The way I had heard also, and it works out perfectly (I think for a lot of Pantera songs, but definitely the few I have learned more recently), is to tune it down a half step… then add +40 cents. Which I didn’t know anything about “cents” until last year. Ha ha. Seems like most of the plug-in apps will show cents. I hope that makes sense. 😝🤘🏻🎸
the tuning is actually 5 cents flatter than d. its between c sharp and d. im very glad you mentioned this. theres so much misinformation out there on dimes tuning. even all the tabs ive searched says drop d. lmfao gtfoh dime wasnt a "drop d junkie"
I do not understand much English I can write this thanks to the translator of google , but his explanation and subtitles have been enough to learn the song
A4 = 432Hz was the standard for a while before it got changed to 440 Hz. Richard Alen Miller claimed the Rockefeller family had something to do with the change. There is a subtle difference. You can find videos where they will put sand on a thin metal plate and vibrate the plate at 432 and 440. The pattern that the sand establishes isn't the same at all. The pattern at 432 is more symmetrical and uniform than at 440. You can get playlists of rock music adjusted to the 432 Hz standard tuning. th-cam.com/play/PLN4gZSbgqwVCur9yU2ix5dhW8NhqpnuV-.html
I’m a total noob when it comes to all this stuff but that was awesome. What kind of guitar is he using exactly? That dark hard sound always sounds sick!
dime played it in both drop d and normal d standard but he only played his standard tuning wich wasnt 430 its standard 434 but he used that in other songs this song walk and primal concrete sledge are in drop d
Folks - its properly daft you all comparing willies about how this song is tuned as if you and Dime were best buds. Just type Dime Randall clinic into the search bar and you will see a very well known video in which he tells you exactly how he tunes.
I believe it's actually 425MHz that's what I set mine too, it sounds the same to me. Also for anyone with a Supersnark tuner, you can also set your Hertz, just click the circle button on the back of your Turner... DONT BUT A NEW ONE! But 10 is correct mathematically.
The correct tuning is 425 hz. I got tuned to dimes tuning off the “dime clinic” video and found this out. if you set your Korg Ga-30 to 3flats below , there’s your vulgar tuning .. CFH is a different story. Drop d
2:20 starts
Thanks
Verse riff:
Down/down down/up up/up/down/up... That's how Dime played it :)
Cant wait for my old lady to get out of bed so i can actually plug in and jam out this tune properly
Everyone just pretends that CFH is the first Pantera album lol
Anubis Plays ikr everyone knows vulgar Display of power was their first album
Anubis Plays it essentially was. They re invented themselves and basically became a new band but kept the name. Hence why after '90 they never played anything pre cfh
Anubis Plays Lmao, its like Michael Jordan's Wizards seasons. Its just better for everyone involved to pretend like they never happened.

@@joshuafacer5000 their older albums was better tbh. Same skills. But less Phil screaming

nirvan jasrotia yes.
Yeah you tune to D standard at 428 hz if your tuner can do that
Really like your lessons. and I've learned a lot from you. Also That is a killer les pual. Keep up the good work. I subscribed.
I do not understand much English I can write this thanks to the translator of google , but his explanation and subtitles have been enough to learn the song
A very good explanation! With the cipher and the guitar!

I’m a total noob when it comes to all this stuff but that was awesome. What kind of guitar is he using exactly? That dark hard sound always sounds sick!
Les Paul Traditional. Nearly any humbucker pickup guitar will get you ball park on tone. The amp settings make a big difference.
dime played it in both drop d and normal d standard but he only played his standard tuning wich wasnt 430 its standard 434 but he used that in other songs this song walk and primal concrete sledge are in drop d
Walk is standard D
D standard tuned back a little bit for the live sound drop d for the studio version
im really confused about the tuning, can you say what each individual strings are tuned to?
From high to low:
1 D
2 A
3 F
4 C
5 G
6 D
You are a great teacher man! and great guitarrist! congratulations!

Thanks man it's surprisingly easy

Omg after a month of searching I have found the correct tuning
I know this is Og but Dime plays that B well C power chord to end each riff at the 7th fret ❤

szyszak Timing on the verse
Dimebag JG Well he does have to slow it down to show us what to do, I think his playing was on point
Dimebag JG and it's up picked at times not alternated!
+szyszak this song was in drop D not un standar tunning
Why dosnt he teach the solo?
Thanks
Nice
En que afinación es ??
Why are you playing the wrong rhythm on the demonstrations of the verse riff? You are playing "1+2eae+4+a" instead of "1+2eaea4+a"
Сразу слышно, наш человек)
cemetery gates por favor
or d standard both work
Because it's difficult and would make the video waaayyy longer
I like your lessons but plz mention all string clearly...
nobody can't teach pantera songs on standard tuning...why?
Roazan Gurung They weren't played in standard tuning.
+Josh Barger LOL
Do you even cowboys from hell?
SilverBane cowboys From hell still wasn’t in standard tuning. It was half way from a half step down and standard.
Like a quarter step down
@@brodensmith8754 lmfao, got em!!!!!! Love when people try to act smart and then they fall flat on their asses.
I like the effort and everything but the rhythm on the second riff is completely wrong and the off beat notes are played as upstrokes
Got the verse riff wrong. The rhythm isn't right.
Wyatt Nash no, he's actually right. The accents are noticeably different on the original song
Also another thing that made the verse riff special is that dime used aggressive upstrokes
I don't understand the rythm, pls help me
428hz!! :D
425hz per dime himself
Лесной Пол прикольно звучит
What abou the guitar solo man :c
oh oh ok yes downtuned. yes sir.
It’s drop d

i love your videos but your videos are for players mid and advanced. don't explain long shit before start
