The architecture of the building is really pretty, and now that it’s on the National Register of Historic Places hopefully it will be restored and put back to use for the community somehow. Thanks for watching!
I was born here in 1978. I knew it shut down but I didnt know it looked this bad as if a storm hit. Great footage... Yall need to go to Central State Hospital or the old Dairy Barn on Buhlow Lake in Pineville...Great video.🔥🔥
@@NOLADEEJall of them! It’s a small hospital and I was a labor and delivery nurse. However, I got pulled to work in the emergency room, the pediatric floor and postpartum. We brought patients to x-ray and to the lab. Seeing the images of the emergency room, I am reminded of a night where we had two codes across from each other in the exact bays in the video. Both patients died.So funny how seeing these images brings back Such vivid memories. We took care of a lot of prisoners and the holding cell at sometimes during the day would have all of the seats taken and many of them standing in shackles, waiting to be seen with tons of policeman, marshals and federal agents looming around, waiting for their patients to be looked at before they brought them back to the jail or prison. It was a tough place to work in some respects, and yet we felt we were doing a great service to those who were under served. This hurts my soul. Lots of crazy things happened there!
My father and Grandma both retired from Huey P Long.My father worked all over the hospital he was a plumer.I was born at Huey P Lond 1966 and worked at the hospital in summer.A lot of hard working employee's at hospital help sick people and families.
Now this looks like a fine piece of deco architecture. Always sad to see great buildings decaying slowly. Old hospitals are so inherently creepy, wonder what it would be like in the dead of night 😉. Can't wait to binge your channel, glad I fell down this rabbit hole lol!
Can I explore witchu guys? I wanna join the team. Or at least have someone to explore with. I love this stuff. That place is scary by yourself. Especially at 3.
The clean up and the abatement of that building is going to cost a lot of money, but hopefully it can be saved. Yes the glove on the floor was rude 😂. Love your videos. I think those were autoclaves for sterilization of equipment.
My papa was put into this hospital years ago twice, long before I was born, but they did awful medical experiments on him and probably every single other patient of this hospital 😢

Deej, just watching this and the others vids, I am amazed at what you guys explore . The phones still work!?! Crazy! Dang thanks for the tour. 👍🏻💪🏻
Abandoned hospitals are the creepiest! It looks really bad for being empty only 10 years.
Yeah looks like vandals had a real good time in there
I thought the same thing too.

Central is all boarded up and I'm not so sure about the Dairy Farm. Last I heard they put up some kind of fencing to keep people out.
My Mother and little brother live up there in Pineville. I’m down in Terrebonne Parish.
I took my stepson there when he was having some issues, they were so understaffed it didn’t feel safe. We went to Cabrini instead
Oh no! Yeah it seems towards the end they were so underfunded they lost a lot of staff.
I worked here for 10 years. So sad it’s no more!
Oh wow!! Must be weird to see it in the state it’s in now. Did you recognize any areas?

@@NOLADEEJ I wish you had gone into labor and delivery. I would love to have seen that again. Great video and thank you!
I live 30 minutes away from here!! Was here a few times when it was up an running. Crazy to see it like this now. Wonder if my chart still there..hmm🤔
So wild seeing the building i was born in like this

Oh wow! You have a good history with that place
Wow, what a dump. Abandoned hospitals are so creepy. I first saw it, I thought it had closed because of Katrina, nope, wrong. Creepy.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yeah it’s a shame it’s in the condition it’s in
I was born in this hospital in 1986 and then worked here for its final four years, 2011-2014. Hate that our (then) governor had to shut it down.
I spent alot of my childhood in that building
Great explore!! 😊Jenn
Thank ya!!
Great job as always
Thank you! 😊
that was neat.
You betcha!
Can promise most of the copper wire is gone! This place has always been creepy.
“oh, that’s rude” had me choking on my drink…..
😂

I’ll hit you up if we’re back in that area
Just went here yesterday the place is practically full the same

I think you’re right! I think the medical waste disposal was in a different building we didn’t get to.
I visited someone there onetime. The old state Nuthouse.
The vandalism is sickening
It’s everywhere unfortunately
My papa was put into this hospital years ago twice, long before I was born, but they did awful medical experiments on him and probably every single other patient of this hospital 😢
Oh wow! I’m sorry to hear that!
@@NOLADEEJ it's the time in history now though that all of these mad scientists will be exposed
I was here today, this place is right behind my house
How is it now?
Sikkkkkk
It was!!
19:36 It's unopened, so it's probably just 0.9% normal saline. (Expired by a decade)
It’s probably fine to drink lol
Where is the morgue?
Never mind, found it.
😁
Why was it closed?
Financial reasons I believe
Huey Long was based
