Ok, at this point i doubt Marutake knows that Bae is Idol, in Hololive.
A new thing to surprise the dude, or else he researched after that
The funny thing is he literally didn't until yesterday. The timestamp of when he found out is at 51:25 of her 3rd Rust stream.
@@AzwraithPLreminds me of when he found out temma is holostars last vcrgta w
I'm not surprised like AN IDOL IN HOLOLIVE?! WHAT A RARE SIGHTING PHENOMENON!!
@@assaulthetz if he doesnt even research holostars member back then when vcr gta last year, bet he would research it again ww
"He is Super Idiot Man" is the best 👌 🤣
The aggressive tone makes it perfect.
"YEAHH!!" - Kettsun
I would say Kettsun is taking strays, but it was more like a shotgun to the face that he didn't even notice. 😆
Actually had pretty good pronunciation, too. OH, YEAH!
It has the same energy as "you are made of stupid!"
"his Japanese is so bad"
brave words for someone within shooting range
RUST rules applied.
Baelz’s English has come a long way. She still mispronounces some words, but she’s almost fluent.
It's inspirational, really. It's almost like it was her first language or something. She's truly a talented JP member.
It actually has, because her first language is technically cantonese
Handwriting still needs a bit of work…
Tomato
Eigo-jouzu'd
I love that Marutake is a reoccurring character here in this anime. Firstly discovering that Bae is in fact not Japanese. Then discovering that shes Australian living in Japan lol. Next up, he'll discover that shes a comedian.
he already done that to Tenma last year in vcr gta, and last time he also found that aruran is anya senpai ww
Who is he? What's this collab?
@@somedudewatchintv5297it's a VCR.
They invited Streamer,VTuber,Mangaka and Artist to sometimes.
I don't think that'll be the end of it...
There's merch, concerts, mario kart parties...
@@somedudewatchintv5297they also invite Voice Actors/Actresses from many animes
Marutake's profile pic perfectly fits the context of clips he's in
I'm convinced that's just how he looks like irl. With accurate size.
He said he's the first Htuber.
His thumbnails are even better😂
On today's episode of "Marutake learning new things from Bae"
It remind me when he was with temma in last vcr gta😂
I think It's just marutake in every episode
The next step to Nihongo Jouzo, the "Are you japanese?" 😭😭😭
Being a gaijin and being told “your english is so good” is the real nihongo jouzu
The next step is "for how many years have you been living in Japan?" 😅
"Are you Japanese?" and "For how many years have you been living in Japan?" were words he didn't say if he thought she was Japanese.
He mistakenly assumed she was a native Japanese speaker, so he said, "You speak English well."
Then "you are japanese!"
I'm so glad Marutake made friends with Bae 😂 this is golden
2:00 the silent stare is loud
Next thing he discovers that Bae is a chaos rat living under the sewers to plot her world domination.
Apparently, sentient rats are easier to believe than Bae being a native english speaker.
Since Bae knows jp, send her in as spy...
What is it with rodents and trying every night to take over the world?
Even the names work too well; They're Peko and the Baelz.
@@blackjacktrial WB did nothing wrong
@@blackjacktrial Where does that joke about Pekora being a rodent come from, anyway
If Marutake ever met Axel at one point, he should wait for it until he realizes the latter too is Australian
On vcr gta2 axel, rpr and marutake were on the same gang. Idk if marutake knows that axel is not jp tho lol
I fear for the structural integrity of Marutake's cranium should such a thing happen.
3:00 best joke punchline.
For any new Brat, Bae may say she's Australian and talk in Australia but she lives in Japan with of the rest of her fellow HoloJP members
So basically she's Hachama 2.0
@@shaoronmdhaven't watched Haachama much outside of a clip of her eating a spider. Is she a native English speaker as well?
@@Arphaliait's complicated...
@@Arphalia she's japanese but she went to school in australia so she speaks pretty good english
@@Arphalia She has good english since she both studied in Philippines and in Australia
I love the fact that "I thought I heard fluent english" is an actual point of interest in this vcr.
There are many foreigners who speak Japanese fluently, but it is extremely rare to find someone with perfect pronunciation
Bae and Anya are indistinguishable from native speakers in every way, not just in pronunciation but also in rhythm, choice of words, and attitude
Yeah for example Cali, Kson, Ina, Iofi, and Ollie are fluent in Japanese but their accent makes it easy to distinguish they actually didn't grow up there...
But I would say Irys and Fuwamoco also nailed the accent just like Anya and Bae, because many JP members are also surprised they are not from Japan when hearing their speaking..
This man is a magnet to fluent English
"OH YEAAAAAH" - Marutake, 2024
This needs to be animated
That gun shot is peak comedy
I was eating at that moment, and legit choked for a split second
First Bae got eigo jouzued by a japanese person
After japanese person found out that Bae is australian, she got nihongo jouzued
Bro was like "HUH?!" "EEEEEEHH??" everytime, it's hilarious 😂
We have 2 Australians in Hololive Production and both speak fluent Japanese (one can only speak Japanese when down right drunk even)
Drunk state is just his factory reset let's be real here
A yes Marutake again 😂
Quick!
Someone tell him where is Anya from!
JP? x'D

Omg, Marutake is my favorite in this VCR event. He's so hilarious, he made my day 😂
Lack of words he can use aside, Marutake's english pronounciation pretty good
2:20 Marutake's laugh lol
Marutake are comedy MC anime, lmao
Marutake is a highlight of this server honestly.
These JP dudes are so relatable 😂 love this interactions with them lmao
I love that "YEAH, COME ON!" is always said with such passion. 🤣🤣🤣
Same as eilte miko
Bro the more I see of Marutake, the more I love him.
The way everyone is always pointing a gun at everyone else while having casual conversations reminds me of America.
Also, Japanese is Bae's THIRD language.
The 2nd one is what Chinese language
tbf she's better at jp than chinese. She cant read chinese.
@@random-jo5xj Cantonese.
Self-respecting American gun owners don't break the rules of firearm safety like that.
They are Gangstas
JDON MY SOULLL😂
I love every reaction Kettsun made, from his Sutogura rp, FF Remake and Rebirth gameplay and now this. His genuine over the top reactions are priceless ngl.
Also Bae, probably the first ever person I am aware of who got both Eigo and Nihongo jouzu'd in the span of 2 minutes.
lol, never forget bae's japanese is better than miko's elite japanese hahaha. i'll never forget bae giving miko a japanese lesson on kansai dialect lololol JDON!
To be fair, Kansai-ben is really different from standard Nihongo.
Actually Chinese is her 2nd language 😂
Something that's always fascinated me is how hard it is to distinguish accents in a different language. Same as I can't tell how Korone sounds different but I've seen enough clips to know she does. Meanwhile, an Australian accent stands out so strongly to me, I'd think anyone could hear it.
Same, whenever they talk about the Kansai dialect in anime I can't distinguish it, but I can distinguish between almost every dialect and accent of English.
I can tell a Mexican from a Spaniard but that's about it. Different Japanese accents are hard to pick, but then I am way beginner level. Kansai just sticks out because they say "aho" over "baka" and "honma" over "honto".
Marutake says he don't speak Englishu, but that pronounciation and singing that Ed Sheeran song in the last clip was legit native it's amazing
is anyone keeping count of the 'nihongo-jouzu's she gets in Rust?
1:00 Hilarious way of being impressed yo, xd
Muratake's pronunciation is good for a Japanese though, surprisingly.
"Look at Marutake his Japanese is so bad"
Bae: "Eeehhh... some day i will introduce you a certain shrine maiden who well..."
A bancho and an elite shrine maiden that broke Bae for a solid 10 minutes... XD
@@crayishikara oh yes bancho! i forgot about her xD
@@pobeditelli still not sure which is harder to understand sometimes... xD
@@crayishikara throw in a baby princess and we're golden
imagine getting eigo jouzu’d instead of nihongo jouzu’d
She usually gets eigo jouzu'd and then nihongo jouzu'd when corrected. She can't escape the jouzu.
Bae avoid HoloJP allegations challenge, difficulty level: impossible
I just smile the whole video until 3:31 makes me burst out laugh lmao
Man the rust streams always warm my heart no matter who's involved
This is so adorably wholesome, I love it
Bro was flabbergasted 😂
How nice, Bae get compliments about her english from her jp friends, she should learn english more
Hahaha 😂😂 did she them about our drop bears ? 🤣😂
The part I find the funniest, other than Marutake's masterfully hilarious English, is that it took him this long to learn Bae is Australian.
This is an entire arc
This is a certified "mind blown" moment for those two right there
What a twist!
Literally couldn’t escape it the whole time 😂
This is some amazing reality TV.
Another marutake clip :D
That was really funny interaction.
bae is amazing holojp.
marutake and kettsun nice praise.
This is gold, I wish more Hololive members interacted with male vtubers.
Hilarious !
Marutake is a gift VCR give to the world ~
Surprised maru meme soon
OH YEAH!
My boi Marutake out here getting the Elite treatment XD
I will never get tired of Japanenglish 😂😂😂😂
So is this what JP think of English speakers?
I see
There is a weird cultural thing among some Japanese people that has still managed to stick around. Many of them view being able to speak Japanese as something that only Japanese people are capable of, so there is always a shock when they find out someone that isn’t Japanese can speak it so natively.
I’ve experienced and know of people that are just like Bae and often people assume they are Japanese on the phone or online, but in person some Japanese will look at them like they are speaking gibberish when they try to talk to them in Japanese because they don’t look Japanese. Like, their brain can’t comprehend a non Japanese person speaking nearly perfect Japanese, so it just shuts down and pretends it can’t hear anything, lol.
As long as you can hold a conversation with them and be respectful, they'll think you're good no matter how bad your Japanese is. I can only speak like a first-grade student and the staff I talk to at a shop compliment me anyway, kind of a weird feeling lol.
@@PaulNapkinds Bad Japanese is actually in some ways easier to get by with as a foreigner sometimes in Japan, especially in rural areas. People there EXPECT your Japanese to be bad, so they know to try to listen real hard to try to understand, or they just ignore you and try to talk to anyone you're with who looks Japanese instead. Even if that person doesn't speak any Japanese at all.
Again, this isn't everyone, and it's a fading thing that used to be a lot worse, with globalization a lot more people there are acclimating and understanding that speaking Japanese isn't some genetic thing that only Japanese people can accomplish anymore.
I got "Nohongo jozued" in my Australian village for accidentally saying "daijoubu" to some tourists that cut in line at a local cafe.
I haven't even got to Japan yet.
But Japanese is a pretty difficult language, speaking isn't really the hard bit, it is listening and reading and writing.
My hirgana looks like a little kid trying to write.
oh finally lmao
They seem like very cool guys
She is reverse Hachaama
"how to get eigo and nihongo jouzu'd at the same time"
Finally?... Finally?
LMAO
Marutake is hilarious.
Lol Marutake!
Oi! Marutake didn't even know your boss was Australian? 🤣
yeah
I love seeing the newer JP gens first interactions with EN since they all get blown away with their Japanese 😅
Hahahah I love JP streamers when they meet a foreigner 😆
This guy goes through emotional turmoil everytime…

this has to be like, the absolute best compliment you can receive about a second language.
Just from a few english words bae summon an entire comedy
her nihongo is so jouzu they eigo jouzu'd her this shit is locked for most people lol
This just reminded me to express my appreciation to the bilingual fans who make clips like these possible. Thank you!
Bae : they should be proud of me
Kettsun : e ?
x'D that faint e hits me .. its so funny
that guy marutake has a great laugh
Loving Bae's eigo ga jozu desune arc lmao
the passion english is great
It took a long time for Marutake to know that bae is from Australia, no wonder why everyone calls him an idiot :)
Passion English YEAH👌
I find that this phenomenon is reasonably common. I'm born Chinese and live in Australia, I also received most of my education in Australia, though I first studied English back when I was in China. I've been told many times that I speak really good English with no accent by Australians I met in school and workplaces. I've also met Australians who studies Chinese and are capable of having conversations with me entirely in Chinese with really good pronouciation. I can't comment about their grammar because I don't actually know about Chinese grammar rules in the same way I know English or Japanese grammar rule, which I learned when studying those languages. What I observe is that people who learned a second language very well can sometimes be considered "better" at speaking that language than some native speakers. I guess that's the benefit of systematically studying a language. This is also why I don't believe in the myth about how babies can learn languages better than adults. Adults are so much better at learning new things, as long as it's done the proper way.
babies are "better at learning" new languages mainly because theyre not embarrassed to just make random mouth noises, theyre picking things up freeform without anything holding them back, while someone learning a second language isnt
People who blame age for not being able to learn a language just have a loser mindset. My mum picked up Mandarin as her 4th language at the age of 50 and she's doing great.
So when Austrailians say you don't have an accent. Does that mean you have an Austrailian accent?
@nf7694 Well, what about older foreigners? Even though they've learned how to speak & read a language, there's many that still have an accent or thick accent or have difficulty with many pronunciations properly. Are those people not putting in enough effort then?
@Ambichook That didn't seem to work with my niece. While she can understand some basics of my family's native tongue. She can't speak it. Whether she's too embarrassed to try or etc. She was exposed at a young age too, like 4 to 8 years old. My other niece though, is interested & has tried. Just not on a serious level.
Bae's VCR Rust arc has been so fun. Meeting lots of fun people! Pururu was probably my favorite
Also, I will NEVER get tired of Japanese folks shitting on others for their awful Japanese as a native
