I am listening metal music for about 20 years now. I love power metal and its my favorite of all metal genres. My favorite bands are Blind Guardian, Helloween, Stratovarius, Dragonforce, GammaRay, Angra, Symphony X, Kamelot, Firewind, Rhapsody... But since i discovered Lovebites few months ago, i am listening ONLY to their songs every day. All of these mentioned bands wish that they could play so good LIVE as these girls can, but no, they cant. After i watched their two shows on dvd i am really addicted to them. That level of beauty, serious talent, and dedication is really rare to see and hard to find. They are such an enjoyment to watch and listen both. I recommend that you see their Daughters of the Dawn - live in Tokyo 2019 concert DVD. You can watch it here on youtube free in HD, someone uploaded the whole show. Its really something special. Simple, Lovebites is (for me at least), the best power metal band in the world right now.
dude i agree 1000 percent - i am a 66 year old bass player and have never seen this much talent and beauty in one group-they make me crazy! words just can't describe-daughters of the dawn is i think the best live concert i've ever seen and i've seen a lot-nothing compares!

@Aratha Sena yeah i actually gave the growling a couple of chances and the music was good but for some reason i just could not get past the growls-it just seemed weird-but then again musically i came of age in the 60's and that probably would have been laughed out of the house then- was in a few bands [played bass] and we loved stuff like cream and led zep and jethro tull-hell we laughed at aerosmith,ac/dc,black sabbath,etc. and called it garbage rock!steven tyler's voice to me was like fingernails on a blackboard-so as you can tell i'm picky!
As with BabyMetal and Band Maid, Lovebites, are excellent live. Japanese ladies showing us westerners the art of rock music genres. Not sure what happened to main stream radio in the USA but I hear many American reactors pray to listen to rock again rather than 24/7 rap music.
My guy your reaction is the same for me I swore up and down what they do should be illegal because I still repetitively get mindblown almost to tears (namely because of when midori and miyako go into their absurd solo battles to their majestic rifts lastly harmonizing alignment just sends me over). Everytime I listen to these girls I feel like my existence just gets eviscerated. Love these ladies and their insane genius in my opinion the prime best example of what real good heavy metal should be where I do apologize if I offend but its my genuine perception to how fierce and power packed these girls put into their performances mv or live. Iron Maiden to me can't keep up with that speed of rhythm, No Offence, I love Maiden but LOVEBITES are the Cherry of all Power Metal Ice Cream that there is at the moment
another japanese female metal band you could check out is the previous group that lovebites drummer haruna was in along with bassist miho is their old band destrose-disbanded but one of the first kick ass girl groups. songs that you should consider is 'lifer 13'-my favorite and 'sword of avenger'-both on youtube from thei live concert at shibuya o west. you will fall in love once again-lead vocalist marina hebiishi will melt you int a pile of goo! and 1 more song that is considered by lovebites fans to be their best is 'scream for me'-even if you don't do a reaction listen to the awakened version on youtube- best guitar solos by midori and miyako you've heard yet-in the middle and at the end of the song will leave you speechless
The talent in this band is immense. They’ve all been pros a while, even tho the guitarist’s both started guitar late. (Don’t know their ages, but suspect all 25-30.) Midori with the gold tassels was excluded from a reviewer’s bestof list because, despite being a heavy metal guitarist, she is “too fast” for comparison. Bass Miho & drums Haruna were in a band Destrose together, Miho had the concept to start this band and asked for Haruna specifically, because, fast. Both guitarists were in signed bands, tall Miyako plays classical piano and already had some songs to contribute. Singer Asami has the most varied experience, but was always hired gun, not a signed band member, and she had not yet immersed herself fully in metal music. They’ve only been playing live 2.5yrs, and have ~40 songs on 3lps, 2EPs & 2dvds and played huge European festivals, their target from the start, hence all English... Hope you can do more! I would’vethought vids from Battle in the East would work (Liar? Sorry. Stupid YT). Aratha Sena, making them right around 29 I think. Miyako started after Michael Jackson died, ‘09 I think. And Midori seems to have gotten out of Musicians Institute in’13 (can’t find my source for that date tho), generally a 2yr program. Amazing how good they got so fast!
