So I guess this game is an allegory for the changing policies and reforms backed by Gorbachev (hence his appearance on the title screen) in the Soviet Union at the time that contributed to its collapse. I just tried the game out, and it appears that taking a slower approach is optimal, as more lily pads will respawn as others disappear. There's no telling where the new pads will appear however, meaning you're still subject to the fickle whims of RNG. The game could have benefited massively from having a few "safe" pads that don't shrink, allowing the player to catch their breath and plan their next mad dash. If you press the "1" key at the blink-and-you'll-miss-it prompt on the game over screen it allows you to play again.
Thanks for the helpful comment as always, my favourite nostril. I'm glad the political machinations of latter-day Soviet Union can be expressed so eloquently with lily pads
You played a terrible space invaders clone a few months ago (Mars attacks), and i uploaded it to the internet lol. It's not my game tho, but still funny, what a small world. Also i think i got addicted to these videos
Oh that's the game I played because I was looking for Crisis in the Kremlin! "Perestroika"? If that's what "coming together" is like I'm glad we remained separate. Yes I'm so mad about the game I played at 6 years old that I'm criticizing Soviet foreign complicity to this day in the comments sections of a youtube channel and no I will not see a therapist. Sorry calmed down now: EDIT:: Your character is The Democrat (the cute little guy), The enemies are The Bureaucrat (The cute red guy) and to you need to bridge and collect 25 coins by gap hopping on the Lilly Pads (sinking and floating) The power ups are the multicolored balls representing the tenants and values of Perestroika. Basically it's Frogger is Gorbachev was a game dev. 2/10 and the two points are just for the graphics.
3000 cycles is way too much for this game. It's meant for a 8Mhz machine.
Never go 286 when 8088 is required! No wonder I couldn't play this game well!

Mr. Gorbachev, guide, this, frog...

I just want to take the time to thank you for uploading all these old Soviet games that would have otherwise been lost to history.
Also you missed the best part about this game, usually it plays a digitized russian folk song through pc-speaker. I guess it's an emulation issue...
I didn't know about that, I didn't have a soundcard when I played, alright I'll another point for soundtracks.
In Soviet Russia... uh... Frogger plays you?

I wouldn't like this, I hate Frogger.
