Her mother is so selfish. I understand she was young and misguided, but to keep saying she's all right, she's all right, apparently SHE'S NOT ALL RIGHT, that's why she's on the show. I’m sick of everyone giving women the benefit of the doubt. Your child DESERVES to know who her father is. It’s absolutely ridiculous. 1 parent isn’t enough no matter what anyone says.
You have to SIT in order to COMMIT! How can you commit if you don’t sit? Sit and learn, sit and pray by yourself, sit and pray with others, sit and read, and sit so you can take root in where God has called you to grow! Don’t run around just sit down! Once you have sat you will stand! Stand and be committed, and stand and not be moved! 🌻 ~Vanisia Tapia
People will weaponize having a father against the fatherless it's disgusting. Because the child was never to blame for that, nobody can make a man be a father to his child.
My family isn’t all blood relatives. My “family” let me be homeless, while my non relations took me in and made me who I am today! Love is stronger then blood❤
OMG!! I respect the potential sister for opening up. I can see why she was hardening her heart. I also see how these young women are so mature and able to forgive. The way she grabbed her and held her up in this moment. The brother too. These young people have great character. I am sorry this wasn't a happy ending but there could be so much more, they want her in their lives. Wow. No shade against Mom or dad they were really decent towards each other and wasn't no mess. I appreciate seeing this.
They’re fighting for a piece of their father just like they fight for a piece of man! Don’t make your sister an enemy-direct the energy to the responsible party, who’s your father!
You mean her mother is the responsible party. She has tested 2 men & neither is the father! And has no idea where to start looking for the next potential father if she can come up with a name! How would her father be aware of her existence if the mother has been blaming the wrong man multiple times & for 28yrs!! How would He the father know he is the father, if the mother doesn’t even know who the dad is!!?? Put that blame in the right place!
I agree with the sibling part......but I am not blaming 16 year olds who come from bad homes doing irresponsible things as teenagers. Davey got a good home with DAD for 19 years of her life until he passed. Who loved her and raised her. She was lucky she didn't get prison Dad, but a REAL DAD. Blaming teen prison Dad is not going to help either
The mom is trifling!!! Like it’s not about you! It’s about her. Just because you been there her whole life doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to know who her father is. She probably even knows and that’s why she can’t give her no answers.

Poor 17 year old managing all the feelings and emotions of others around him... I hope he can find his own sense of self and learn that the emotions of others aren't his responsibility ❤
Most people who do that suffer from extreme abandonment issues with the people they love, she said it herself too with her father being in jail half of her life and when she also said she lost a sibling, she probably saw the other woman as “taking away” someone she loves and holds resentment for her. People like that don’t know where to direct their anger, so they’ll view the person who “took” away the person that they loved as an enemy.
The mama trifling af for her not knowing who she was with. we judge the men, but sometimes it's the WOMEN being doorknobs where everyone gets a turn. I was upset and the girl being so mean to her, but when they apologized to each other, it warmed my heart. Black excellence in these young people. ❤

This is definitely one of the most saddest episodes but yet heart warming at the same time..especially how that young man talked, how the father wanted her to be his daughter and also how she came and hug her when they wasn’t related.
What will that help? She was a child. I do agree that she should keep trying to remember her past so she can help her daughter. It’s like she blocked it out when she settled down with the girl’s stepdad.
I hope that hug was genuine and not just her doing it bc she isn’t her sister. Hopefully this brought them together even as friends. Bc I can’t imagine how she feels not knowing
When I heard the Mom refer to the Dad as "Potentially", I knew... AND why in the World would a Mother mislead their kid and bring them all the way to National TV when they know it's other possibilities... Ridiculous

I don't know the mama of the 2 siblings but the empathy they showed at the end, the way they carried themselves even through the understandable doubt, they way they communicated with the dad, warmed my heart! ❤ You can tell the struggle growing up even with the dad incarcerated, you can tell he has an impact on their character. Not the outcome we all hoped for but yet still a beautiful ending. You just never know what can still come from this ❤
This is both one of the most sad but also hopeful stories that I've seen on talkshows of this nature. There were so many layers of trauma, I could barely keep up. I feel horrible for all involved - it's clear that both "parents" in this situation failed the kids, but the parents themselves have certainly gone through their own traumatic pasts that led them to the decisions they've made, resulting in this whole mess. The mom comes off as super selfish and dismissive, but I don't think she recognizes that what trauma is or what could have been the catalysts in her own life to cause her to "be wild" when she was younger, as she put it. The seemingly agressive and and "unaccepting" daughter, who had to grow up with her dad in jail (note every photo of them was in front of the same wall, likely within the prison), and though he was so absent from her life, she still valued their relationship so much, and sounds like she was scared to have to share him with anyone else, given that the father was promiscuous and had many children. And you could see the moments where even thriiher aggression at the beginning, she was so scared, shaking the whole time, but still there were glimmers of hope when she signalled she'd be open to a relationship with her. When Karamo asked her if she would work on their relationship if they did end up being sisters, and she said yes quickly, but quietly, but she's scared. Likely due to fear of losing her dad, for getting too close to a sibling and losing them again, and who knows what other trauma. I will say to the dad's credit, it seems like he really has put in the effort to be in the kids' life as much as he seems to think is possible, despite his circumstances. And he is so loving and accepting toward this girl who's looking for her father. He understands the pain of "being unclaimed" as he puts it. Again, unsure what his bacground is but looks like he went down a pretty dark path given the amount of teardrop tattoos he has. I hope he finds peace. It also felt so heartwarming to see how desperately the brother wanted to have a relationship with both his sisters, how hurt he was at the results, and how he came back to comfort her and reassure her they're still family. But absolutely most of all I feel so deeply for the poor girl in red. She never felt a connection with who she was told was her dad, and by that time her childhood and young adulthood was over. I can't imagine how out of place she must feel, and how devestating these results were for her. She seems so sweet and kind, and its clear how she so desperately wants to be loved and find where she belongs, and its so painful to see. I hope that she finds it someday, within herself, that she is enough on her own - but I truly wish her to find her dad some day. This all makes me extremely grateful for my own life circumstances, which I've never considered privileged but having a stable and healthy family unit is priceless. The silver lining in all this is that it seems like this may be a blessing as it looks like the other sister feels freed of the looming threat that she felt the girl in red posed, and now is free to love her as a sister in the end. They may not be family by blood, but something tells me our girl did gain a sister, brother, and father this day. And that in itself is beautiful. Sorry for the long comment, this one jusy really hit me. Wishing peace and love and continued growth for them all.
Satan is a liar. Look at the 💕 Love this sister's are giving each other. GOD is Great🙌. This is a new beginnings. Never lose hope and you know this might be the new extended family
Beautiful!!!!*Hope they have inspired thise that may have grudges, parents who failed to tell their children the truth and fathers who need to step up*ain spite of the news, this was a beautiful show that displayed how maturity is REALLY DONE!!!!
I wonder if the mom was a SA victim. That would explain why she wants to block things out. My aunt told me recently that my dad is the product of a SA which explains why he and my grandmother avoided my questions about my grandfather when I was a kid. I was a teenager before I knew his name. This man was a teacher and way older than my grandmother who was in high school.
Dang, I was hoping they were related. They would’ve had some obstacles to work through but it all would’ve worked out in the end. Hopefully they don’t stop talking.
I suggest the mom and daughter both take the AncestryDNA test. The mother’s side will show up as the daughter’s match. The other relatives not matching to her mom are her father’s relatives. Now her mom can look at the paternal relatives of her daughter and see if the surnames jog her memories. A full blooded sibling to this young lady will show approximately 3500 cM (CEntimorgans) and a half sibling will show up half the number of 3500, give or take a few numbers. Her half siblings child will show up as half of 1750, give a take a few number.
What great people, dad was right, it's black excellence to the maxx, regardless of the outcome 😢❤❤❤ I wish them all the very best. Although their parents were young and obviously lacking in different areas of their lives, they damn sure gave it their best shot to instill positivity and security as best they could given the circumstances, not to mention the extended family input ect... It's such a heartfelt experience to be able to witness resilience in its purist utterance 💐💐❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾😍😍😍

Beautiful!!!!*Hope they have inspired thise that may have grudges, parents who failed to tell their children the truth and fathers who need to step up*ain spite of the news, this was a beautiful show that displayed how maturity is REALLY DONE!!!!
The mom is so nonchalant and then says she doesn’t wanna think about it ??? GIRL WHAT
Once again another great show! This episode made me cry
When she said I lost a sibling already so... dat hit me different😔
I’m very happy that these beautiful young women hugged it out ! 🙌🏾
Can y'all hit that like button real quick this episode was absolutely beautiful ❤️
Shout out to his kids for comforting her and her Mom…it’s a WOW
so proud of these young people doing their best and showing each other compassion.
3 kids at 16 is crazy. He started off as a night walker 🤢
What great people, dad was right, it's black excellence to the maxx, regardless of the outcome 😢❤❤❤
I wish them all the very best.
They need to do dna test
I’m so grateful that I’m 44 and don’t have any enemies that I know about. We will all be dead in 100 years and life is far too short to be making enemies of another human being. I know it is easier said than done but I said it.
Ok that was gut wrenching 😢
The sister was happy with the results, that's the only reason why she hugged her 💯 ..her actions displayed, I'm a give you this hug.. now gone get out our lives ..sad but true
