Love the video. I've been procrastinating getting my flag pole in the ground. One of these days. I served on a boomer during the early 80s as a navigation ET.
First off, thank you for your service to our great country. The following is meant only as a joke. Yea, he knows how to blow up the world, but to raise a flag, give him the number for the Red Cross, he's going to need all the help he can get. LOL
That’s funny! Yeah basically true, navy was much more concerned about my ability to NOT cause the next Chernobyl. Hope you’re having a great start of summer!

I just did mine at home out of the same pipe it's 25 foot above the ground . My question is I am going to put a 5x8 and 4x6 on the same pole and didn't know how well it would hold up . How does yours hold up just a single 5x8 flags in heavy wind? Thank you for your service too

I think it could easily hold two big flags. Mine doesn’t move at all even in the highest winds. Good luck with all your projects
They’ll be fine, I had a 20’ that stood 100 mph winds with no sign of giving.
Where did you get the flagpole kit? I have 2 3/8 drill stem also

Looks good! I am going to do the same in TX. Which boat were you on? I was a nuke on the Hampton.
Good luck with you flag poles. I was a RO on the City of Corpus Christi 94-00. What years were you in?
@@LewisRenovation was an RO 97 to 01
Then to nuke school to teach
Good to chat with another nuke. Take care
Did you install balls on top?
I should have but didn’t order any and wanted to get them up by the 4th
Can you post the link for the swivel you installed? I have been wanting to build the same flag pole for my house.
Good luck with your flagpole

you should have bought finials that screw into the truck.

I see a sentry V 10 siren
It's really a internet antenna. Thanks for commenting
how long does the flags last out there??
The made in China Texas flag is fraying after 6 months. The USA made American flag looks basically brand new after 6 months
@@LewisRenovation I'm Australian! and my Australian flag last for 6 months bc it's always outside on a 7 meter flagpole. We get lots of wind!
@@JC_66644 Hello from windy Central Texas!!
Well I can confidently say that post isn’t going anywhere
