Good afternoon Captain, just wanted to clarify something... In the third example, when the A/C is over AKTIV, the STATION CALLED need to changed along with the ON FREQ too... Correct me, if I am wrong; I feel it should be: Mumbai Approach, VT-FCC, On Freq 122.7, Position AKTIV, 2005, Passing FL280 for FL140, A747; ETA BBB 2035
@@captainclasses9761 hi sir! I'd like to ask that the direct routes (DCT), should they be taken only if the other routes are unavailable, or there is no such criteria?
All these are reporting points... To be very specific... Bodar is a waypoint or u can also say it is a dead reckoning point.. but it is commonly known as compulsory reporting point... Which makes the confusion.. but u hav to report and give estimates of all these navigation points

In a controlled airspace like this (nor an oceanic where position reports are mandatory), Do we always have to give position report such long or just only when asked to do so by air traffic controller. I've seen a video in which pilots switching to a center frequency and just saying "Delhi center, namaskar AIC124 with you FL360 inbound AKELA" 2nd doubt, - when leaving airspace or control area of a facility, do we switch the frequency without notifying the previous atc, or don't or only when atc tells us to do so like "AIC124 contact delhi center on 124.55 bye bye".
first doubt- in every condition aircraft has to give his position in every 30 mins to the related atc.... and wherever you are asked and also when you changeover to next authority Second doubt- we have to change over to next atc only when adviced by the atc... atc will give you the name of the atc unit with its frequency but in exams you have find out yourself to whom you should contact according to your position
