Welcome to the Jam! When I first watched this in theaters. I was lost for words. I didn’t know what to think of it. But the more I watch it, the more I grow on it and it appeals to me. It did still give me that vibe that the whole basketball game in this film gave me the same old vibe the original Space Jam did just with a modern twist to it. I think LeBron did a great job with this role. I mean you have to admit. Michael Jordan’s acting in the first one is pretty bland, but LeBron kinda gives the same vibe in this film as Michael did in the original Space Jam. I mean the whole second half of the basketball ball game when they all go looney to make a comeback reminded me EXACTLY of the second half in the original. Plus Porky Pigs rap in the second half of the game had me bursting with laughter. Plus that scene was SO 90’s. Overall, I appreciate this film. I enjoyed it. Of course it’s not as good as the original. But that’s what you have to expect with sequels.

A movie that never needed a Sequel. The music, the era... timeless. you cant copy that or make it even better.
I came across so many reviews of this movie, most people seemed to dislike the movie because it had LeBron James, but it's like everyone is forgetting he isn't the only character, a lot of other people played just as important roles or contributed to the making of this movie and I feel it's ignorant and one side minded to completely discredit an entire 2hr movie simply because you aren't a fan of the main character. Everyone seems to be a pro or critic on everything until the roles are reversed...

And it ended up being a pretty good movie, Plummer got himself an Oscar nomination

It looks like it's a CGI version of the original 1933 King Kong which is interesting. I say this because it visually looks more like the original and the fact that when he's on his way to the game, he enters the shot with biplanes. Which is in reference to the original movie. The Kong from the monster verse never encounters biplanes because that Kong is more of an original Kong made specifically for the monsterverse and not a remake of the original Kong. Also I believe that Universal owns the 2005 Peter Jackson King Kong design. So yea hahaha

Honestly I just watched this movie and I've gotta say I loved it. it was so much fun and payed homage to the original Space Jam in parts while remaining current for the new generation.
Lebron is no worse of an actor than MJ was and did really well. I didn't think they could pull off a Space Jam sequel but they did and it rocks!

Years after watching this movie on HBO Max during the height of the pandemic, I must say that even though the movie ain’t perfect, but in my humble opinion it’s not the worst movie I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen waaaay worse films out of WB, Disney, Sony Pictures Animation, Universal Pictures and Paramount Pictures, this was honestly a fun sequel that is willing to be self aware of how corporate they are while making fun of it and especially making fun of the aspects of Space Jam by showing us how dumb and half baked the concept really was (remember, it was conceived after a couple of Air Jordan commercials with Bugs Bunny).
And the filmmakers, writers and animators were definitely trying their hardest with this movie and it definitely shows on screen. The utilization of CGI and traditional animation was beautiful to witness because I honestly missed seeing traditional animation in a big budget movie, great job to everyone involved in the animation department and that they finally got credited after that who fiasco that WB did (look it up).
But I’ll be honest and say that Looney Tunes: Back In Action is the superior Looney Tunes movie, it’s directed by a genuine fan of the Tunes and was close friends with Chuck Jones before his death in the 2000s, I never get tired of of that one personally.

Unpopular opinion: This movie is more of a WB 100th Anniversary special/celebration than that "special" with the Titan Twerps as hosts/main characters.

It takes the same type of talent, effort, creativity, time and even money as any other animation style. Especially when your movie has an abundance of it and is mostly relying on it for a good portion of the film.
