    Funny I watch American Lego TH-camr videos with great envy, seeing the Lego sales in Target etc. I don’t think we have great Lego buying experiences in the UK. The Lego shop in London looks fantastic however. Great video though, thanks!

      Glad you enjoyed! Yeah, the US is absolutely the place to go for cheap and affordable Lego in quantity - I just thought the UK’s presentation was simply superior haha

    A question: How do you get the stuff back to your home when travelling? Do you plan in advance with an extra suitcase or do you send them to yourself from the location per post ? Im curious how you handle this, especially if its a bigger haul and its from overseas etc :D

    • @DuckBricks
      @DuckBricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      I usually travel with as many suitcases as I can hold in my party haha, never know when you’ll find some lego!

    As a brit, who coincidentally went to London 2 weeks before this was uploaded, happy to see you enjoyed London!
    As someone who has grown up around them, the whole tangent about the magazines was fascinating for me. Never knew they were such a commodity on the other side of the pond!

    Great video - London is definitely the place to shop for Lego. Hamleys, particularly at Christmas is just amazing, many great memories visiting there as a kid. There’s chain of stores called Smyth’s Toy Stores that I find has a great selection and a lot of the sets have a decent chunk off the RRP.

    • @DuckBricks
      @DuckBricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes! Smyth’s is great, forgot to mention it in this video!

    There was a series on tv in the UK all about how the Leicester Square sculptures were built. It was channel 4 you’ll probably be able to find it online. Great service there for sure, they even invited our little dog inside

    this video reminded me of the existence of the magazines, might pick up a few everytime i see them and collect some of the smaller sets, would make for decent smaller gifts for people tbh

    I also went to London last weekend and the Lego store was really cool but there was no CMF series which I was hoping to get some as I haven't seen many

  • @FLASHF1RE

    Another thing about the Lego store in Leicester Square is staff will help you feel CMF bags to find the ones you want. When the Marvel CMF series came out for at least the first day they had them pre-sorted.

    Costco, Smyths, and JL are all good for getting lego sets in the UK for under RRP. Yes we are ripped off here. I checked out the JL store you went to in May 2022 and there wasn't any retired sets there. I guess your video sold them out!

    Imo, where I live, the Lego shopping experience in the uk is terrible. No Lego shops even close to me, you have to go central London or big city to go Lego shops. And all the other places you mentioned. I live 20 minutes away from a uk version of a mall and they’ve only got 1 place where you can buy Lego, which is a toy shop. Barely anything that’s good there. There’s Asda but there lego shelves are basically empty. All the 6+ sets left. The only good shop that sells Lego is Sainsbury’s and that’s near everyone. But just my opinion
