For denoising by equalizer module, you should also consider modifying its "edges" tab specially for high ISO values.
I have tried playing with the edges tab but haven't been able to see any improvement from it. Maybe I need to experiment more with it.
You can experiment its effect by bringing the main curves (the curves in the middle) of luma and chroma tabs all way down and then modifying the curve in the edges tab. I usually use it for very high ISO (+6400) photos.
