A must-visit is the largest tannery in Africa, Chouara Tannery. While there are three different tanneries in Fez, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. Surrounding the tanneries are numerous shops where you can purchase inexpensive leather bags, jackets, poufs, and shoes. Many of these shops also offer viewpoints from which you can admire the tanneries.
