Its probably a metaphor like the other side is dark and other side is bright version of Ai. My other is what I think is that the right side is Ruby who is portraying Ai. The color scheme of the eyes is the same as Ruby's. Also in the manga, Ruby will portray Ai in the movie called "15 years of Lie" based on Ai's life. I thought this is a cool foreshadowing on that MV.

As some others have mentioned, I think "Maria" definitely is a reference to the Virgin Mary (Maria in most other European languages) because of Ruby mistakenly thinking that Ai had a virgin conception and she and Aqua never had a father in the first place. Plays really well into how Idols are worshiped as near-deities (just like Mary) and Ruby's Otaku-grade copium that her Idol is so pure that the only way she would have children is by virgin conception.
