- It’s frustrating when plants show injury at key focal points in our gardens. Our video shows how to salvage an Amber Gold Arborvitae, Thuja occidentalis 'Jantar', with dead branches that appeared after winter and make it look as good as new!
Great information Kevin, thank you. Look forward to next video. Gorgeous property, beautifully designed and maintained.
This is my favourite tree on your entire property so i was sad to see this video pop up but i’m glad you were able to salvage the situation so easily.
Awesome job at preserving the tree.
I love my emerald green arborvitae, but I bought one of these jane gold, and just recently planted mine month ago. So far so good.
#1 TH-cam garden🎉🎉💯
Neat trick with the string, looks great!

I think you're just borderline for growing this one, it's definitely more tender than it's parent "Emerald Green'. Whereas, 'Jantar' can't at all manage my Canadian zone 3 and only the bottom remains alive. Fortunately, 'Yellow Ribbon' is bone hardy and vigorous, almost a bit too vigorous, but I'm not complaining, it's one of the best of all arborvitae this far north!
Beautiful yard where do you get your yard art the circles the I'm assuming it's a fire pit? Lovely
Yes, the one in the water feature is a fire pit frame, flipped to vertical. The large one at the beginning of the video was custom made by a metal fabricator/artist - Davis Designs, Fargo ND.
Nice job, you are a tree surgeon lol
I wouldn't call Geo engineering natural events, just saying. 2:54
Give it some liquid seaweed fertiliser.
