Great stuff, bud! I finally picked one up at Walmart for that 299 - at that price I couldn’t resist upgrading my Gen 1. It took a while for them but A1U finally has nailed the form factors, and the different cabs look amazing together because of it 😭
Johnny Cage can't be on MK1 because the actor Daniel Pesina doesn't want his image used. There's nothing Tastemakers/A1Up can do about that. There are graphic companies selling Johnny Cage graphics to put on the cabinet. And this year's MKII deluxe has a BOE monitor not the bad one from last year's MK 30th.
Wow! Very glad to see A1up finally adopting the more realistic control deck, with spill, and water resistant coatings over the artwork! And the formfactor looks way more realistic. Great games lineup, too. Thanks for the review. :)
Seeing this makes me glad I stayed my hand on purchasing some of the first generation cabinets from Arcade1up. They just never looked close enough to the geniune article to seem worth the high asking price back then but this is a great step closer to recreating the 80s and 90s of arcade gaming.
I agree :) the only cab I regret passing on is Marvel Superheroes because of the Punisher, I must have walked past that box at Walmart 6 times at $248. My first cab was X-Men I’ve stayed towards the newer truer arcade look too. Thanks for watching 👊
I got this for $300 and it’s my first delux.The form factor is beautiful and I liked that it came in a plain box.Mine had a bunch of really bad quality control issues which was very disappointing since with my earlier cabs I didn’t have any.Kinda surprised too after all this time they never upgraded their buttons.No light up coin slots is also a bummer.Hope now Arcade1Up makes all their old cabs a delux and add coin lights and maybe even movable coin slot doors

Yeah these are so easy to buy at the $299 price point, it's sooo tempting. I just keep wondering if there's another XL just right around the corner for all of these!
I’m guessing by June we might see a XL SF2. If you buy at 299 you can always sell for an XL and still get around 200 back. Kind of renting it for 6 months for 100 :)

The cabinet looks so nice. I love the deck. I just am not getting the nonsense with Arcade 1up and the lit and unlit coin doors. It is so ridiculous. Just put lit coin doors in all of them. I mean, retro 530 sells the kit for $20 dollars. It literally would cost them nothing to do. I can not understand the game they are playing lighting one but not another. Great job, buddy. Good thoughtful review, Phil. I have the SF2 Legacy cab. I've been thinking about this cab, but this hobby is getting to be too expensive and I've only got 4 cabs at the moment! haha Your arcade looks awesome.
I definitely plan on getting this but will still keep my Street Fighter Legacy because I love Ghosts n Goblins. Will you be getting the Galaga deluxe? I’m just happy to see A1up finally creating replicas that look like the OG cabs
I forgot to mention Ghosts n Goblins in the video, that’s exactly why we need a few SF cabinets they spread these out lol I’m leaning towards Galaga, hoping for a sale it’s back to 499. Actually I do think there’s more value in Galaga than Class of 81 because of the 2 extra games even though ones PAC and Ms Pacman I like Galaga.

I could basically hook up my computer to my tv, pull out my x-arcade tank stick and play every arcade game on mame but I wanna play them on a cabinet standing up like I did back in the day. It would be cool if arcade1up had an option to add a functional coin door. That would be awesome.
Great review Phil! I'm happy with my Yoga Flame. REALLY wish they'd put the Golden Axe on sale, or rather, re-release a deluxe version with online + leaderboards. Failing that, hopefully a HOTD cab in 2024?

Yeah i'm gonna keep an eye out for GA, i would love a deluxe version of that but I don't think they'll revisit GA tbh :( $199 or even $299 would be okay IMO, but not $549 for just 5 games and no online.
I took the emblem off the door, bought an 8 dollar LED strip from walmart. ran the strip thru 2 holes on the front, and taped the strip till 2 of the warm LEDs were behind the holes(took the coin releases out to mark the area they needed to be), clipped some plastic supports to accomodate the led strip, screwed it on and ran the end to the usb (this does create a CRT like interference noise so some might have to plug it elsewhere) I covered the holes from the emblem with strips electrical tape cant even really notice it. i thought id have to drill but it worked out!
This newest SF2 release should have also included a 19-21inch monitor and no more then 399 max. This new control deck looks like it might be good as you have more room to rest your wrists. Thanks for the comparison to Big Blue.. As I have one sitting in my garage ready to assemble soon. Can we find speaker bezels for big blue speakers?
I agree, but they’re probably saving 19” or higher for the XL version probably next year. That’s a good question I’ll have to check maybe Amazon for a 3-4” speaker grill it would definitely improve the look.

How’s the feeling with 2players on the new deck? I remember the first Arcade 1Up SFII:CE released was sort of cramped if you had two players. You had to stand at a bit of an angle and it was sort of awkward. Hope it’s wider

It’s pretty solid it’s the shaking of the cab on carpet would be the only thing. If they drop back to 399 I think people like myself will keep buying SF and Galaga. Yes we want the XL, but a steep renting price on the deluxe until then is worth it at this price. Here I was going to get the NBA Jam deluxe and it got pushed back and I end up with Pac Man XL and a 3rd SF2 :)
My pleasure! I def want to play SF on-line (any lag or emulation issues with this cab?), but also love playing against my friends in person (which is why I'm hoping there is an XL down the line).
I really like the Dynamo form factor. Looks great. As a Yoga Flame owner, it would take an XL version of the Dynamo for me to buy, but I also hope Arcade1Up makes some of the games missing from Big Blue downloadable for all of the wifi enabled cabs (Darkstalkers, etc.). I chatted with Danny from CornerCade about that, and I think that would be nice so people can choose the cab design that they prefer while still having a way to get their favorite games. It would also potentially result in more people online to play those games with, which is always a good thing.
Ok, I have Big Blue but it's missing Final Fight. There is a Yoga pcb on ebay for a little over $100. Would that work on big blue or not? If not, I could get this cab and keep my Big Blue because there are games on Big Blue that aren't on Yoga/Shinku Hadoken or this new one. Big Blue is softmoddable though but not sure about this one. If I could figure out how to softmod Big Blue, I could put Final Fight on that. And why are the SFII's on this, Big Blue, and Yoga/Shinku versions not US roms and missing Winners don't use Drugs? But the Super Turbo on Big Blue is the US version and has both Winners don't use Drugs and Qsound Virtual Audio like the US arcade version. The Super Turbos on other cabs do not have Winners don't use Drugs or Qsound Virtual Audio.

Shinku cab is really nice tho. That side panel art pops if not in an arcade setup, as I have mine. I only have the one cab and have started converting it into a multicade with a 20" monitor + audio upgrades and more 👍
I love the Shinku too, it’s a keeper! I think next year could be a big year for XL, I want to say we got 10-11 deluxe this year it could be that many XL in 24.
? You need a deck protector for hand comfort obviously you don't play for hours at a time we just do it for aesthetics??? You never mind your cabinets I don't see anything would happ or IL joysticks or buttons???
@waterinthedesert81 they made this one different you won’t need the protector the coating won’t rub off from your hands. Everything else they made would need the plastic protector, but not SF2 Deluxe.

So I have the deluxe SF and just recently purchased the Big Blue from Best Buy for $299. I don't have the room but I couldn't pass up that deal. Now I'm in a dilemma. Since I already have SF2 deluxe, is Big Blue worth keeping and have 2 SF cabs and just sale my QVC Marvel Superhero's that has the light up buttons or return the Big Blue? 🤔
That’s a very tough decision Rob, if you have interest in playing Knights of the Round I’d keep Big Blue, but if you are passionate about having the Punisher as rare as it is keep Marvel. Trust your gut :)

Really great review. I think this is a great looking cabinet. The measurements help. As for the marquee, is it possible to swap a yoga flame HF marquee into that cab? They look to be the same size.

Great review hit all points, I don't mind risers at all, I live the height on stool with riser not saying I wouldn't buy deluxe but I only have ms pac, pacplus,T2,blitz, and RR so I won't change any but if something on sale for 299 with riser I would buy that before 399 deluxe, I am all about the $$ haha ty

It’s all up to the look you’re going for and game selections. Big Blue will come with a stool and 12 online games, this is very heavy for fighters and has Knights of the Round a great Beat ‘em up. Yoga Flame & Shinku have 14 online games same lineup as the deluxe. These are more Beat ‘em up heavy cabs, the tough thing is they will all have sales for the next 2 months. You can’t go wrong with any of these, if I didn’t have a SF it would be either Yoga / Shinku or Deluxe because of the 14 games versus Big Blues 12. Wait until price is right stay under 399, Thank you for watching 👊
i am 1.90 cm tall, and this cabinet is 1,60 tall, its going to be a pain to play? or would you suggest that these cabinets are made to be played from a stool? Also how comfortoble is for 2 player at once? thanks a lot!
Actually you could probably be pretty comfortable standing or sitting on a stool I do both. But if this is too low you can add a riser booster bringing it up 3”-5” taller. They make one for every arcade, roughly $50-70 for one. I can send you a link if you’re interested
It just takes some patience:) give yourself an afternoon where you won’t feel rushed and take your time it will come together before you know it. I’ve put together maybe 23 total and it still can take 2-3 hours.
Has to be the best version of Street Fighter that they have released, from an appearance perspective. They could only really top it with an XL Big Blue at this point.

They do take up a lot of floor space:) because Shinku and Deluxe have the same lineup I’ll sell Shinku when I absolutely have to. Big blue is safe because of form factor and Knights of the Round. What will you do?

@OperantSound I have 15 cans in my 11x11 room it’s maxed out. There’s 1 cab GTXL in the back living room and 2 cabs in the basement / gym I do have another coming in a few days for basement. So I can fit 2 more in before something needs to sell.
What about a Big Blue XL with the protruding deck with angled ends? In Super Turbo design? I have the regular BB, just finished building the top part and put it on the riser. I procrastinated building some of my newer cabs I got last year like KI Pro which is still unbuilt, and the new MKII deluxe I got this spring from Best Buy shipped to me. The Big Blue was under $200 from ebay, a business selling it as-is. The BB is also softmoddable so I could play Final Fight on it or even Alpha 1 and 2 on emulators. BB doesn't have Final Fight like the other SF cabs.
200 is a steal for big blue! I’m looking forward to what design they go with on the XL. Maybe AvP Super turbo design I feel like this is happening next year.

Nice cab. I just hope the deck doesn't wear off like the 1st gen. I didn't know about this edition nor when it was going to come out. I was already set on the yoga flame as my 1st 1up. What a great price too for prime but I ended up getting the yoga flame for $280 only after my rewards and rebate from Dell. $120 cheaper and has the same games so no biggie. Yeah it's a Midway cab but I'm fine with it as it long as it's comfortable to play with. At this point I'm gonna wait for the XL version instead as I do like a larger screen. I would buy another SF or Capcom cab. I would just sell my yoga flame. 😊 Space is limited to me right now and this is why I don't have many more 1ups.

I really hate the riser look on A1Us so when I saw this, I knew I had to have it. While 3/4 and still not exactly like the arcade, it's super close and about as close as you are going to get. It looks great in the person and the screen and sound are pretty impressive. I will say, the buttons are complete trash. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the $60+ to upgrade them or just leave it how it is. The stick is fine but the tension spring is weak. If you are used to Street Fighter in the actual arcades, upgrading to a 4lb spring makes a world of difference and is a fairly easy but needed mod. A1U is getting close but they still have some work to do.
I wish they would give us a little better controls because you’re right they would make a difference just having more tension. I guess when you run into a time like now where nothing is coming out yet and sales are kind of at a stand still it’s a good time to mod your cab. Thinking of the same with a bigger monitor for T2 and retro upgrade.

Iv been playing mine alot. this is what they should've dropped in 2019. i feel dumb for buyin the first one because i felt theyd get to hear eventually it would just take time. joysticks are even better. the buttons still reek tho.

All 3 of my SF2 cabs ( I know typing that seems crazy lol ) have different profiles: Big Blue PD7, Shinku PD7X and Deluxe PD7Lucky so you’ll have different users every time.
@@PDX7 This is a selling point. I have 2 buddies that love to come over and play against each other, and two people on those cabs are a tight fit which is why I'd love an xl, but this is a workaround. Thanks for that dangerous piece of info.
@@PDX7 you mean buystuff? I didn’t see any monitor upgrades from them but I’ll look around ( and at other mod sites ) My main complaint about 17” monitor is just that it feels like milking the herd again… the XL Pacman has a 19inch, so the next cab we’ll see is going to probably be a SF2 XL.
The control panel height on all arcade1up gen 1, Gen 2 and gen 3 including big blue cabinets are correct being the same height as the actual original arcade machines they are based off. (Give or.take they might be actaully be 1/2" or 1" higher).The newer cabinets afterwards though like KI, Yoga flame, MK 30th legacy, simpsons, NFL etc, their control panels are are too high. KI is the worst because it's control panel is same height as the first 3 legacy cabinets. The yoga flame, MK 30th, mvc2 are a little lower than the previous legacy models but still too high. Arcade1up had it right when they started. This new SF2 again is too high. Big blue is correct compared to this one. I don't understand how people complained about this when the height use to be correct.
You’re absolutely right the decks are totally accurate. Being 44 I am really liking the higher panels were getting now :) KI is pretty high I’ll admit, but the new slanted deck is great :)

Was thinking of this as an upgrade, then I looked at the games list... It's missing my 2 favorite Capcom games besides SF2... Darkstalkers and Ghosts n Goblins! ughhh... I've never heard of some of these titles on this. Progear? Battle Circuit? Capcom Sports Club? Giga Wing? Armored Warriors? Those were def not popular in any arcade by me. Think this has best design but Big Blue and Legacy have better games.

I wish they would just make a full-sized cabinet with all the Street Fighter ROMs in there. I'm tired of messing with those miniature kids-sized cabs with no room to play comfortably with another player side by side.
Cosmetic wise 1up arcades look great but hardware wise they're awful. Absolutely terrible. I bought Killer Instinct last year which was my first 1up machine and I was very disappointed with those joysticks. I used to play that game competitively back in the day on the real arcade machine so I know what the sticks should feel like, and man the ones from 1up disappointed me. I knew something was up when 7 out of 10 times I couldn't launch a fireball. Something so easy to do. They say first impressions mean everything and I was very unimpressed. These Street Fighter machines look solid and beautiful, but man... Those joysticks bro. Why do they cheap out on the most important part. Changing them out is not feasible because I am not tech savvy
I know man, to be honest these sticks are better than what we were getting before KI but still not great. Trust me it’s not as hard as you think to swap them out or buttons. If you can build one of these you can definitely change out controls. They’re fine for me because I’m a recreational player, but a competitive player would definitely be in their interest to change. Your right the cabs are great basically pieces of art just need to improve on controls and they’re perfect. Thanks for watching 👊
I bought this cabinet so I’m speaking from ownership. The cabinet itself is nice but it’s much too narrow to play comfortably with another person; it needs to be at least 6” wider to be sufficient for comfortable 2plyr. Also, one of the SF games that’s included is totally broken (the first one that launches, SuperStreetFighter2Turbo). First of all, it shouldn’t be the first one in the menu as the cabinet is titled CHAMPION EDITION. Very stupid. The reason it’s “broken” is because it is programmed to F**K you. I am a very seasoned Street Fighter. I wouldn’t have bought a SF cabinet if I wasn’t. I can easily beat SF2ChampionEdition and SF2HyperFighter (the other two installments that come with the cabinet) but cannot even get past the 3rd character on the broken, SSF2Turbo. I just play the other two games because they actually work properly. There is no way to win in SSF2Turbo. Whatever you do WILL be countered and you WILL get F’D. The only solution is to play the other titles. I’m REALLY glad that the other ones play great. Otherwise, I would be selling it. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Everyone talks about the cabinets all day long but nobody talks about the actual game experience. All of the non-SF games play well enough. I recommend this cabinet over the others because it’s the most authentic in terms of design but I warn people who are prospective buyers that it’s still too narrow and that the first of the three included SF2 games is broken. Don’t freak out. It’s not you. It’s the game. Just switch to other ones and you’ll be much happier.

It serves a dual purpose in that it’s both a functional arcade as well as a cool piece of furniture. Even with its “too narrow” dimensions and broken SSF2Turbo game I’m very glad to have it. Your set up is sick. I wish a had the space to have a bunch of them like you do. Stay safe! ✌️
It’s the look David, I won’t keep Shinku forever wanted to add the comparisons but the fact is we can add every game to one cab. The reason we don’t all do it is because we want to recreate an arcade.

It does look like a great cab. I'm hoping for the same release in the new XL form factor, as well as Mortal Kombat, in the coming year.
I also hope the SF2 XL will by the HS-5, it would look really cool! Which MK do you want for XL if you could pick?
Mortal Kombat I or II in XL, so long as Johnny Cage is on MK1 like he's supposed to be.
Johnny Cage can't be on MK1 because the actor Daniel Pesina doesn't want his image used. There's nothing Tastemakers/A1Up can do about that. There are graphic companies selling Johnny Cage graphics to put on the cabinet. And this year's MKII deluxe has a BOE monitor not the bad one from last year's MK 30th.
Hopefully they give us a MK done right next time kind of hoping that is the XL

Seeing this makes me glad I stayed my hand on purchasing some of the first generation cabinets from Arcade1up. They just never looked close enough to the geniune article to seem worth the high asking price back then but this is a great step closer to recreating the 80s and 90s of arcade gaming.
I agree :) the only cab I regret passing on is Marvel Superheroes because of the Punisher, I must have walked past that box at Walmart 6 times at $248. My first cab was X-Men I’ve stayed towards the newer truer arcade look too. Thanks for watching 👊
I got this for $300 and it’s my first delux.The form factor is beautiful and I liked that it came in a plain box.Mine had a bunch of really bad quality control issues which was very disappointing since with my earlier cabs I didn’t have any.Kinda surprised too after all this time they never upgraded their buttons.No light up coin slots is also a bummer.Hope now Arcade1Up makes all their old cabs a delux and add coin lights and maybe even movable coin slot doors

I’m guessing by June we might see a XL SF2. If you buy at 299 you can always sell for an XL and still get around 200 back. Kind of renting it for 6 months for 100 :)

The cabinet looks so nice. I love the deck. I just am not getting the nonsense with Arcade 1up and the lit and unlit coin doors. It is so ridiculous. Just put lit coin doors in all of them. I mean, retro 530 sells the kit for $20 dollars. It literally would cost them nothing to do. I can not understand the game they are playing lighting one but not another. Great job, buddy. I also wish arcade 1up wouldn’t put their logos on the front and on the coin door. I might paint over the chrome logo and cover the other one on the front with a black sticker

I’m leaning towards Galaga, hoping for a sale it’s back to 499. Actually I do think there’s more value in Galaga than Class of 81 because of the 2 extra games even though ones PAC and Ms Pacman I like Galaga.

I could basically hook up my computer to my tv, pull out my x-arcade tank stick and play every arcade game on mame but I wanna play them on a cabinet standing up like I did back in the day. It would be cool if arcade1up had an option to add a functional coin door. That would be awesome.

I took the emblem off the door, bought an 8 dollar LED strip from walmart. ran the strip thru 2 holes on the front, and taped the strip till 2 of the warm LEDs were behind the holes(took the coin releases out to mark the area they needed to be), clipped some plastic supports to accomodate the led strip, screwed it on and ran the end to the usb (this does create a CRT like interference noise so some might have to plug it elsewhere)
I covered the holes from the emblem with strips electrical tape cant even really notice it.
i thought id have to drill but it worked out!

This newest SF2 release should have also included a 19-21inch monitor and no more then 399 max. This new control deck looks like it might be good as you have more room to rest your wrists. Thanks for the comparison to Big Blue.. As I have one sitting in my garage ready to assemble soon. Can we find speaker bezels for big blue speakers?
I agree, but they’re probably saving 19” or higher for the XL version probably next year. That’s a good question I’ll have to check maybe Amazon for a 3-4” speaker grill it would definitely improve the look.
Finally got my first sf cab. Just got it yesterday so of course it’s full of awesome. Gotta do the retro530 to this and mk deluxe.

How’s the feeling with 2players on the new deck? I remember the first Arcade 1Up SFII:CE released was sort of cramped if you had two players. You had to stand at a bit of an angle and it was sort of awkward. Hope it’s wider

I wonder how well this will move considering most of us expect an XL version next year. How sturdy is that additional outcropping on the control deck? I'm a little worried that after a couple of adult beverages me and my ape-like friends would crack it off... great content as always brother!
It’s pretty solid it’s the shaking of the cab on carpet would be the only thing. If they drop back to 399 I think people like myself will keep buying SF and Galaga. Yes we want the XL, but a steep renting price on the deluxe until then is worth it at this price. Here I was going to get the NBA Jam deluxe and it got pushed back and I end up with Pac Man XL and a 3rd SF2 :)

I really like the Dynamo form factor. Looks great. As a Yoga Flame owner, it would take an XL version of the Dynamo for me to buy, but I also hope Arcade1Up makes some of the games missing from Big Blue downloadable for all of the wifi enabled cabs (Darkstalkers, etc.). I chatted with Danny from CornerCade about that, and I think that would be nice so people can choose the cab design that they prefer while still having a way to get their favorite games. It would also potentially result in more people online to play those games with, which is always a good thing.
Another option is finding that pcb on eBay weather we lose the online ability we could still put something like Big Blue in a Yoga Flame cab.

Ok, I have Big Blue but it's missing Final Fight. There is a Yoga pcb on ebay for a little over $100. Would that work on big blue or not? If not, I could get this cab and keep my Big Blue because there are games on Big Blue that aren't on Yoga/Shinku Hadoken or this new one. Big Blue is softmoddable though but not sure about this one. If I could figure out how to softmod Big Blue, I could put Final Fight on that. And why are the SFII's on this, Big Blue, and Yoga/Shinku versions not US roms and missing Winners don't use Drugs? But the Super Turbo on Big Blue is the US version and has both Winners don't use Drugs and Qsound Virtual Audio like the US arcade version. The Super Turbos on other cabs do not have Winners don't use Drugs or Qsound Virtual Audio.

Shinku cab is really nice tho. That side panel art pops if not in an arcade setup, as I have mine. I only have the one cab and have started converting it into a multicade with a 20" monitor + audio upgrades and more 👍
I love the Shinku too, it’s a keeper! I think next year could be a big year for XL, I want to say we got 10-11 deluxe this year it could be that many XL in 24.
Why isn't there a deck protector doesn't it hurt your hands after a while??? Is there a custom deck protector that you can buy for this
The coating on the deck won’t rub off like previous cabinets. You won’t need a deck protector for this or Big Buck Hunter Pro :)

@waterinthedesert81 they made this one different you won’t need the protector the coating won’t rub off from your hands. Everything else they made would need the plastic protector, but not SF2 Deluxe.

So I have the deluxe SF and just recently purchased the Big Blue from Best Buy for $299. I don't have the room but I couldn't pass up that deal. Now I'm in a dilemma. Since I already have SF2 deluxe, is Big Blue worth keeping and have 2 SF cabs and just sale my QVC Marvel Superhero's that has the light up buttons or return the Big Blue? 🤔
That’s a very tough decision Rob, if you have interest in playing Knights of the Round I’d keep Big Blue, but if you are passionate about having the Punisher as rare as it is keep Marvel. Trust your gut :)

Really great review. I think this is a great looking cabinet. The measurements help. As for the marquee, is it possible to swap a yoga flame HF marquee into that cab? They look to be the same size.

Great review hit all points, I don't mind risers at all, I live the height on stool with riser not saying I wouldn't buy deluxe but I only have ms pac, pacplus,T2,blitz, and RR so I won't change any but if something on sale for 299 with riser I would buy that before 399 deluxe, I am all about the $$ haha ty

I want to get a sf2 cab, which one would you recommend and is best value for money? Does any of the cabs have different games on them or are they all identical?
It’s all up to the look you’re going for and game selections. Big Blue will come with a stool and 12 online games, this is very heavy for fighters and has Knights of the Round a great Beat ‘em up. Yoga Flame & Shinku have 14 online games same lineup as the deluxe. These are more Beat ‘em up heavy cabs, the tough thing is they will all have sales for the next 2 months. You can’t go wrong with any of these, if I didn’t have a SF it would be either Yoga / Shinku or Deluxe because of the 14 games versus Big Blues 12. Wait until price is right stay under 399, Thank you for watching 👊

Actually you could probably be pretty comfortable standing or sitting on a stool I do both. But if this is too low you can add a riser booster bringing it up 3”-5” taller. They make one for every arcade, roughly $50-70 for one. I can send you a link if you’re interested

It just takes some patience:) give yourself an afternoon where you won’t feel rushed and take your time it will come together before you know it. I’ve put together maybe 23 total and it still can take 2-3 hours.
Has to be the best version of Street Fighter that they have released, from an appearance perspective. They could only really top it with an XL Big Blue at this point.

They do take up a lot of floor space:) because Shinku and Deluxe have the same lineup I’ll sell Shinku when I absolutely have to. Big blue is safe because of form factor and Knights of the Round. What will you do?

@OperantSound I have 15 cans in my 11x11 room it’s maxed out. There’s 1 cab GTXL in the back living room and 2 cabs in the basement / gym I do have another coming in a few days for basement. So I can fit 2 more in before something needs to sell.
I don’t have a SF cabinet yet, but I think this the one I’m going to get. I have my cabinets in my living room. My living room is big enough 😊

Knights of the Round?
What about a Big Blue XL with the protruding deck with angled ends? In Super Turbo design? I have the regular BB, just finished building the top part and put it on the riser. I procrastinated building some of my newer cabs I got last year like KI Pro which is still unbuilt, and the new MKII deluxe I got this spring from Best Buy shipped to me. The Big Blue was under $200 from ebay, a business selling it as-is. The BB is also softmoddable so I could play Final Fight on it or even Alpha 1 and 2 on emulators. BB doesn't have Final Fight like the other SF cabs.
200 is a steal for big blue! I’m looking forward to what design they go with on the XL. Maybe AvP Super turbo design I feel like this is happening next year.

Nice cab. I just hope the deck doesn't wear off like the 1st gen. I didn't know about this edition nor when it was going to come out. I was already set on the yoga flame as my 1st 1up. What a great price too for prime but I ended up getting the yoga flame for $280 only after my rewards and rebate from Dell. $120 cheaper and has the same games so no biggie. Yeah it's a Midway cab but I'm fine with it as it long as it's comfortable to play with.
At this point I'm gonna wait for the XL version instead as I do like a larger screen. I would buy another SF or Capcom cab. I would just sell my yoga flame. 😊 Space is limited to me right now and this is why I don't have many more 1ups.

I really hate the riser look on A1Us so when I saw this, I knew I had to have it. While 3/4 and still not exactly like the arcade, it's super close and about as close as you are going to get. It looks great in the person and the screen and sound are pretty impressive. I will say, the buttons are complete trash. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the $60+ to upgrade them or just leave it how it is. The stick is fine but the tension spring is weak. If you are used to Street Fighter in the actual arcades, upgrading to a 4lb spring makes a world of difference and is a fairly easy but needed mod. A1U is getting close but they still have some work to do.
I wish they would give us a little better controls because you’re right they would make a difference just having more tension. I guess when you run into a time like now where nothing is coming out yet and sales are kind of at a stand still it’s a good time to mod your cab. Thinking of the same with a bigger monitor for T2 and retro upgrade.

Iv been playing mine alot. this is what they should've dropped in 2019. i feel dumb for buyin the first one because i felt theyd get to hear eventually it would just take time. joysticks are even better. the buttons still reek tho.

I would totally buy multiple SF II deluxe cabs just because they looked different.
I really prefer the original look though as much as possible.
That’s my thing too I like the look of each one it’s hard to part with one even though it has the same games as another it’s the cabinet look.

All 3 of my SF2 cabs ( I know typing that seems crazy lol ) have different profiles: Big Blue PD7, Shinku PD7X and Deluxe PD7Lucky so you’ll have different users every time.
@@PDX7 This is a selling point. I have 2 buddies that love to come over and play against each other, and two people on those cabs are a tight fit which is why I'd love an xl, but this is a workaround. Thanks for that dangerous piece of info.

My main complaint about 17” monitor is just that it feels like milking the herd again… the XL Pacman has a 19inch, so the next cab we’ll see is going to probably be a SF2 XL.

The control panel height on all arcade1up gen 1, Gen 2 and gen 3 including big blue cabinets are correct being the same height as the actual original arcade machines they are based off. (Give or.take they might be actaully be 1/2" or 1" higher).The newer cabinets afterwards though like KI, Yoga flame, MK 30th legacy, simpsons, NFL etc, their control panels are are too high. KI is the worst because it's control panel is same height as the first 3 legacy cabinets. The yoga flame, MK 30th, mvc2 are a little lower than the previous legacy models but still too high. Arcade1up had it right when they started. This new SF2 again is too high. Big blue is correct compared to this one. I don't understand how people complained about this when the height use to be correct.
You’re absolutely right the decks are totally accurate. Being 44 I am really liking the higher panels were getting now :) KI is pretty high I’ll admit, but the new slanted deck is great :)

Was thinking of this as an upgrade, then I looked at the games list... It's missing my 2 favorite Capcom games besides SF2... Darkstalkers and Ghosts n Goblins! ughhh... I've never heard of some of these titles on this. Progear? Battle Circuit? Capcom Sports Club? Giga Wing? Armored Warriors? Those were def not popular in any arcade by me. Think this has best design but Big Blue and Legacy have better games.
I agree, unfortunately we need 3 SF2 cabs to have all of those. I wonder why they went with some of these over the legacy titles.

I wish they would just make a full-sized cabinet with all the Street Fighter ROMs in there. I'm tired of messing with those miniature kids-sized cabs with no room to play comfortably with another player side by side.

Cosmetic wise 1up arcades look great but hardware wise they're awful. Absolutely terrible. I bought Killer Instinct last year which was my first 1up machine and I was very disappointed with those joysticks. I used to play that game competitively back in the day on the real arcade machine so I know what the sticks should feel like, and man the ones from 1up disappointed me. I knew something was up when 7 out of 10 times I couldn't launch a fireball. Something so easy to do. They say first impressions mean everything and I was very unimpressed. These Street Fighter machines look solid and beautiful, but man... Those joysticks bro. Why do they cheap out on the most important part. Changing them out is not feasible because I am not tech savvy
I know man, to be honest these sticks are better than what we were getting before KI but still not great. Trust me it’s not as hard as you think to swap them out or buttons. If you can build one of these you can definitely change out controls. They’re fine for me because I’m a recreational player, but a competitive player would definitely be in their interest to change. Your right the cabs are great basically pieces of art just need to improve on controls and they’re perfect. Thanks for watching 👊

I bought this cabinet so I’m speaking from ownership. The cabinet itself is nice but it’s much too narrow to play comfortably with another person; it needs to be at least 6” wider to be sufficient for comfortable 2plyr. Also, one of the SF games that’s included is totally broken (the first one that launches, SuperStreetFighter2Turbo). First of all, it shouldn’t be the first one in the menu as the cabinet is titled CHAMPION EDITION. Very stupid. The reason it’s “broken” is because it is programmed to F**K you. I am a very seasoned Street Fighter. I wouldn’t have bought a SF cabinet if I wasn’t. I can easily beat SF2ChampionEdition and SF2HyperFighter (the other two installments that come with the cabinet) but cannot even get past the 3rd character on the broken, SSF2Turbo. I just play the other two games because they actually work properly. There is no way to win in SSF2Turbo. Whatever you do WILL be countered and you WILL get F’D. The only solution is to play the other titles. I’m REALLY glad that the other ones play great. Otherwise, I would be selling it. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Everyone talks about the cabinets all day long but nobody talks about the actual game experience. All of the non-SF games play well enough. I recommend this cabinet over the others because it’s the most authentic in terms of design but I warn people who are prospective buyers that it’s still too narrow and that the first of the three included SF2 games is broken. Don’t freak out. It’s not you. It’s the game. Just switch to other ones and you’ll be much happier.

Glad to provide some feedback. Thank you for posting your vids/creating helpful content. Sorry for the long rant. This cabinet is a definitely a cool thing to have at the pad. It serves a dual purpose in that it’s both a functional arcade as well as a cool piece of furniture. Even with its “too narrow” dimensions and broken SSF2Turbo game I’m very glad to have it. Your set up is sick. I wish a had the space to have a bunch of them like you do. Stay safe! ✌️

U own 2 of the exact same cabs with exact same game list ....that seems really dumb.
It’s the look David, I won’t keep Shinku forever wanted to add the comparisons but the fact is we can add every game to one cab. The reason we don’t all do it is because we want to recreate an arcade.
