I don't have alot of tools to do this, but I spoke to some people...Turned out if I bought a 3pt pre-made Hitch frame, a welder knocked up a boom, stabiliser arms and support for me out of old stuff lying around box girder. I paid him £150 for half a days work , the Frame was £250...I spent another half day, grinding and cleaning it - £20 on prime - £20 on bright red paint. Thing is excellent, I have a strong loop it can hang a chain hoist, I can dead lift with the Tractor hydraulics, I've lifted an engine block, I've lowered pre-moulded 500kg (1000lb) concrete forms into a culvert. Thing is mega useful. Now I want to learn to weld and build this stuff myself amd save money.
I have one similar. I too thought it was OK too till I realized it’s designed all wrong. I’m going to make a new one with the schedule 40 tube hooked direct to the tractor top link attachment and the upright supports start near the lower pins & run straight up to connect along the bottom of the main pipe with 5 different connection points. The end will have a loose neck bend of around 40 degrees. The end result is it can go from 6” off the ground to 9 ft in the air.
Hi there. Great build. I notice you have the remote spool valve for the Ford. I'm looking to get one for my tractor but I currently have the single hose with the push pull tab. I also use this to lock the 3 point in place to keep the arms up. I'm wondering if I replace it with the spool valve will I still be able to do this and how does it operate in conjunction with the 3 point. I can't find answers anywhere on the web. Thanks
Hmm, not sure? My tractor had zero hydraulic remotes when I got it, that's the aftermarket kit I got. Is your valve mounted in the same spot? I've used my setup with brush hogs that only have one hose, it works fine for that.
I bought a boom pole at Tractor Supply for $150, and it’s painted. Unless your time has no value you can’t save money fabricating something this simple.
at sum time in the future i'm goin to make a liftin pole it'll all be made out of 4"×4"×3/8" thik steel tubing with sum 1"×4" steel flat bar welded to the sides of the square tubing and a 48" hydraulic cylinder to pik up the the liftin pole its goin to be one heavy ass tool all built by me no work from a metal shop all made by thomas faucette

Cheap reflexes save the day.
Sweaty palms and that tingling in the pocket at the checkout will never let you down.

As long as it works and it don’t have to be purty.
Ain't that the truth!
I WISH these were $150-250 in the UK. They are like £500-750 ($650-900!)

What’s causing the lifting? Dna.
What happened to the little Kubota? Oh nice boom pole job.
It's still around!
Nice
Good evening sir

👍
I like the boom but the 100 thousand dollar charger is way cooler.

The poor man's forks
Haha, pretty much!
Hey! Can I have that Charger? It looks like it needs a new home.😉
Haha, sorry.
Hi, nice video. You use US measurements. Would be nice to add on-screen converted meter/centimeter measurements. Thanks
Not a bad idea, will have to remember that next time I'm editing, thanks.
I'd be nice for YOU to learn inches!!!
2 kinds of countries. One kind uses the metric system. The other goes to the moon.
They're called "Freedom Units" Not US measurement. ;-)

i can't believe you did not scold him for rolling the lift pins on the rear deck.
