Thank you so much Numisman. Your shows presentation tonight with the 1953 D/S is especially exciting. Only last week I purchased a very small hoard of Washington Quarters. And in them I found two coins with something going on. I think I have the 1953-S double die, or RPM, or D over S. And a similar coin but from 1945-S. Either doubling or RPM. This 10X magnification isn't doing the issue justice. Coming to the EU has been such an adventure. Lots to send to NGC or PCGS. I will keep you informed. (Especially about the two muled coins.) Thank you 100% And you, you stay wonderful. And have a prosperous day! From Wien.
NUMISMAN YOUR OUTSTANDING VIDS ARE THE EPITOME OF "IF IT'S NOT BROKEN, DON'T FIX IT" ESPECIALLY W/THE PROFESSIONAL AND CALMING BLUE WAVES IN THE BACKGROUND... I'M IN TOTAL AGREEMENT W/YOU AND OTHER FOLKS ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE COINS, EVEN THOUGH IT CAN BE A LITTLE BLOW TOO THE EGO WHEN THINKING OUR COINS ARE SO GOOD ! CHEERS FOR ANOTHER COOL VID, ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING THEM ! CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE SHOWS AND YOUR COVERAGE ! ! 💰 👌 🌟DARK SHADOWS DAVE 😎 🍻 🏆
Only if you agree Numisman the grade of the coin honestly brings the price more than the error of the coin the grade is really the money maker from what I've seen. Rarely you'll find one in a shop or collector that is willing to part with it at a high grade . Great video I learned alot.
This is something that has become increasingly true, especially within the last 20 years or so. With the rise in popularity of third party grading services, and especially registry sets has also had a big impact on this trend. Conditional rarity plays a big part in modern numismatics. Unlike absolute rarities, like say 1913 Liberty Head Nickels of which there are only 5 coins in existance. You may have something like a 1982 penny instead. There are millions of them, but only a handfull are still around in super grades, which is why a very common coin can sell for thousands of dollars if you can get a ms68 or better grade on it. Thanx for watching
The 1953 Quarter with 5 different mint mark re-punches was quite challenging to be identified . I wonder how long it took the numismatists to solve this puzzle. It is very interesting piece. Thanks for your great video. It is very informational and educational.
I have a 1967 D Quarter but the mint mark is on the reverse under the eagle.... any help or information would be greatly appreciated.... thanks in advance.
I found a 1974 quarter a while back but the thing is it's a double punch D over S and if learned there has never been a D over S found but I tell ya it's a double punch of D over S or D over D but the one thing I know for sure is it's eaither one or the other.
I've actually come up with little stories(pure speculation) to try and explain how it could have happened. I really would love to know. Thanx for watching

It is an interresting coin. The key is to get an early die state coin where the details are still well preserved.
