      Very good point. I grew up on a farm in the 60’s&70’s and my dad had a very short temper. It didn’t take much for him to blow up, a lot to deal with when you’re just a kid.

    When I was a teenager, I had similar issues with a disk and the semi-mounted (2pt plow on quick hitch) 6 bottom plow. Sometimes they would unhook and I would whip out the chain I always carried in the cab, attach to 3pt and lift. Our plow would simply slip off the 2pt quick hitch and flip on its side. Our loader tractor was not strong enough to lift. I got good at unhooking the hoses and the remaining 2pt attached point, driving to the side and pulling the plow upright. Then I could push the quick hitch into the ground and back up to rehook up the plow ... and away I went.

    I am new to the channel, can y’all tell me if I’ve got their names figured out. Andy is the father with daughters Alex, Sarah and Charlotte (Charlie) and his boys are Jared and Andrew. Sorry I have trouble with names. As so many farming and ranching families their work ethic is off the chart. It’s good too see because it doesn’t exist in many things these days. God Bless them. Thank y’all.

      @Adam_Poirier ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Now here's a comment I can appreciate. Most people put in zero effort and just ask the question: how many acres do you farm, how many cows do you milk, whats everybody's name??
      Where if they just watch the videos and pay attention they could answer a lot of their own questions and learn something along the way.. awesome comment randy

    • @randyhensley150
      @randyhensley150 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Adam_Poirier I try not to ask stupid questions but I couldn’t sort out the girls, then he called Charlotte Charlie and I got lost again. I can’t remember names unless I have some reason to write them down. I didn’t realize Jared was his boy till just recently. These folks impress me so much with their hard work I just wanted to make sure I had who they are down. I watch a local rancher that has a boy named Clancy Bob, he calls him everything from Clarence on down, but only one kiddo so I could keep it straight. My Dad was a cotton farmer for many decades, sold the farm to my older brother and he sold it to my nephew, they farmed the same place over a hundred years. All their work ethic was off the chart just like this family. I sure wish there was more of this in our society today. I meant no offense in asking names, I hope no one took any.
