Found this group by accident. As a tenor player I must say the saxophones on every cut are outstanding

Andy Snitzer ... beautiful rich sound on tenor and soprano ... a masterful improvisational technique that is very very interesting both melodically and harmonically and always suited to the music ... and fun to watch! My favorite sax player of these times .... Check out his awesome solo on Take the A train with the Manhattan Jazz Quintet ..
What a bass tone. Sounds like some otherworldly upright/electric hybrid. Zev was my number one influence and got me interested in electric back around 1990.
Amazing! I was to have Andy Snitzer play on some of my music years ago at Carriage House Studios up in Stamford, CT. I still write and arrange, and live in Milwaukee. Keep up the great music!!

The best version I heard of Lullaby of Birdland was on a disk called "Giants of Jazz". If only I could find the CD! (oh wait, id need a CD player, lol)
