So proud to say that my father, Josephat John has done some incredible work in the Virgin Islands and the world. Big up to my favorites Man T and the Midnite Band.

Blessings,Give thanks for the info, ST. Thomas was only represented by Ras Abijah but there we're many other Reggae Bands and artists on ST. Thomas and ST.John. For instance Prophecy now going by the name Inner Visions , Ras Nisha, Rebel Action Sound System,Ras Nature And the DubWise Brethren, Calabash, Young blood, Bashan, Selah, Abiah, Tanasha and Jomo Pemberton. The Evolution Of USVI Reggae should encompass all. Heart of love

Noted David, couldn’t agree more. This encompasses years of compiling, cleaning corroded vhs tapes, and seeking video footage, music or pictures of some of the above mentioned artists. No disrespect intended towards St. Thomian and St. Johnian artists, but a decision was made to segment the documentaries into volumes, and get it started. Star Lion Family and Inna vision performed in volume Il. Your mentioning of others, some of whom I am familiar with, will definitely help me to do specific research. I believe DJ Calabash is a good place to start. Funding is crucial to do a thorough job, so I am hoping constructive comments like yours will help with some grant funding. Blessed Love!

So refreshing to see how the reggae music has evolved in the VI, Overall my favorite from that time was Zeus & the Kasha Heads. Remember them practicing in their yard in Grove place and making me extremely proud of self when they played live in Arthur A Richards school court yard. Midnite of course is history. That was a vibe....

I watched the documentaries and was disappointed that indivduals like myself and Drew Stoch were not credited for being a part of the emergence of USVI being noticed and recognised on the world stage of Reggae . I do not blame you but Tippy for making sure those contributions are noted .

Sorry Junior Richards that you were disappointed after all the work to recover old footage. Note that it was stressed throughout that it’s from the producer’s perspective and all artists were not included. However you are encouraged to send any music or video for future volumes. Raising funds to feature the women in the Evolution …. Give thanks for the feedback

@@rasiyameculturalcollection2063 I overstand the Producers were the focus, but the musicians create the bedrock for the artistes on stage but mainly the studio. This is something that cannot be understated ,especially since the music there started getting serious notice from the world the last 5 years. The producers were doing the same thing the previous years but nothing changed until recently, why do you think that is?. I'm not upset at your work It is said producers, most notably Tippy that should have made that known.

These documentaries are the very definition of the half that's not being told. The emergence of Reggae on the world stage cannot be credited to VI musicians only. What about the contributions of those in the Zion High Kings Camp who are not from the VI who have worked with Danny I, Akae Beka ,Batch, Pressure ?

@@rasiyameculturalcollection2063 I watched the 2nd episode. He did not mention Me ,Drew, Balboa,Tuff Lion or Style Scott . I played on 100 strong and Virgin Islands nice and the majority of the Akae Beka Albums Tippy and Jah D produced plus Beauty for Ashes and Ride Tru,the last 2 official Midnite Albums that had no one from Midnite's band on either one . Our contributions cannot be overlooked or excluded. We are the ones who did the work to continue Vaughn's legacy right up until he left us.
