The shit part is that why did they include Jason Todd in the fucking Teen Titans show in the first place. His character feels irrelevant for a Teen Titans show. Although the real problem was simply the terrible storytelling and bad writing.
@@phisograph Actually I take it back, its not that Jason Todd feels irrelevant in a Titans show, its more like the writers doesn't know how to make him relevant as the show went on, not to mention his importance for being there is kinda meh, they introduce this character but does not know how to make that character interesting enough for you to even care, same goes to the others. If I were them they could've just focused the storytelling on the Original 4, but nah let's add more characters nobody really gives a shit about and waste episodes for their own backstories instead of using that time to make more good, unique story for the Original 4 to give them a reasonable logical character development.
@@sobored9277 Everyone aside from the Original 4(Robin, Raven, Starfire, Beastboy) are ridiculous in this show imo. They could've just introduced Cyborg instead as the last member.

@@parkerboy795 except dick. Dick was definitely "punished" when he got shot right in the ol' air hose. Hawk is blown to shit and Dove spends the rest of her life in isolation, depressed. Wonder girl get fried in a freak accident. All of them get mindfucked by trigon. But largely they do all retain their reputation. It's not too far off from a more realistic telling of these characters though. Superheroes or not, if any of these people and powers were IRL, you can guarantee that many of them, at the least, would have no problem cussing. Let alone all the other things that flawed humans can do, cause, and be capable of.. I mean, look at batman. Not much for swearing but he'll definitely brutalize a simple purse-snatcher if it gives him a clue about Joker or some other villain. So the compass of morality in these individuals are not always solid and like many of us normies, they can definitely be more prone to mistakes and poor choices. Mental issues and traumas. That's what I like about Titans and Doom patrol. As fantastically fiction as they are, the do a great job at humanizing people a lot more than a comic's "ideal human" which is 99% impossible to achieve as a human IRL. If you think this shit is excessive, go watch The Boys or check out the comic series. Now THAT shit is a *realistic* portrayal of what it would be like for a sort of justice league of super heroes that are all managed by a corporate entity in order to maintain that ideal human aesthetic. To keep them as heroes instead of punishing them when they do wrong. It's always nice to think that if these people were real, they would be like in the comics, but power can corrupt easily in this IRL universe of ours and there is no gaurantee that superman or green lantern or any other "good guy" superhero would just perpetually remain with that moral compass cemented toward good.
davante barbain Too early for a reference to the red hood I’m not asking for them to beat the kid to death just for a angry superbrat to punch reality till he comes back Just a red helmet, considering they already made illusions to his death it wouldn’t be much to ask for his helmet to be red
It’s a very simple detail/foreshadow. And it wasn’t too early. It’s a motorcycle helmet, not a Red Hood helmet. They could’ve given him the top-half helmet, at least. They go out of their way to do certain things that suck or don’t make sense, but don’t take advantage of other opportunities that are so easy, simple and logical. Very frustrating.
He forgot about when Rose found Jericho's vinyl in Jason Todd's room, freaked out about it, accused the Titans of lying to her, and a few episodes later, turns out she never even met Jericho.
JaredMithrandir It is when the big reveal was completely stupid. Literally she and all the titans did absolutely nothing the entire season but argue and wallow in self pity like it was a daytime soap opera and then all of a sudden she’s like “I have a family in the titans!”😂😂
@@Kuudere-Kun I was invested until about episode 4, and after the Connor episode, the plot became paper-thin and convoluted. The decisions the characters made, weren't plot-driven, nor character-driven, instead they were (we have four, five episodes left, so let's make them to this) driven. The vinyl was a plot device that only served the purpose of misleading the audience, it didn't add anything to the story, and they quickly forgot about it. One could argue that maybe Rose was only trying to expand the chasm of mistrust between the Titans, but the way the story developed, I highly doubt it. The saddest part of all this is that they took the awesomeness that is Deathstroke, and wasted him in such poorly written squabble.
JaredMithrandir Well everyone has their opinions. I honestly hated it. It just didnt come off natural and more like a bad fan made teen romance and the writers forgot this is about super heroes. Also way too many stories and arcs were thrown in all over the place without it meaning anything and just filler. Also wayyy too much talking and whining. Season 1 was great too but idk what happened here.
Anna Diop is the best part of this show, like it or not she carried it on her back and got all attention from most viewers everytime she was onscreen..
I’m just confused as to why they cast all the characters being adults and they casted an underage girl to play raven. She was literally born in 2004 so she’s 17 rn and even younger when they were filming the guy who plays beast boy is 25. If they’re supposed to be in a relationship why’d they do that if it’s going to be uncomfortable for both actors.
I totally forgot about the room of adults berating a child to the point of wanting to attempt suicide. You cant really like a team if they're doing shit like that.
Seriously, Hank pissed me off the most. He went from relating and feeling sorry for Jason when he got captured by Slade and then an episode later, instead of standing by his side, instead of being the supportive adult, being his figurative older brother, he literally threatens him just a DAY after he almost fell to his death. Amazing.
I’m patiently waiting for a few things from this show. -Dick’s canon upbeat, funny, smiley, flirty, kinda dumb personality to shine through which I’m 100% sure the actor can pull of cause he’s played a similar role. This personality was kinda hinted at in the season three finale. -Rachel’s canon peaceful, calm, sassy personality which I know the actress can pull off cause it was there somewhat in season three. Also a better understanding of her powers which is also hinted at in season three. -Starfire’s powers back. Not Blackfire’s. -Blackfire’s powers, not Starefire’s. -Starfire and Dick’s relationship that was teased in season one and never touched again. -More of Gar’s personality cause while he is the most bubbly character on the show, they’ve been putting him through the damn ringer. We need our joke cracking, never-ending flirting with Raven guy back. -Development on Gar’s powers which was somewhat hinted at in season two and three when Gar turned into a snake and a bat and when he was deciding what he wanted to turn into next. -Jason to be, idk, acknowledged. -HAVE THE FLYING CHARACTERS ACTUALLY FUCKING FLY 👩🏾🦲 i.e Rachel, Starfire, Blackfire, Superboy/Krypto -Development on Rachel and Gar’s relationship which I can wait for given the fact that the actress is a minor. But at least let them be on screen together for more than five seconds. -Whoever put that blue filter on the show to be fired and burned alive. -More upbeat moments like the rv scene in the season three finale and powers scene in the pilot. It actually felt like I was watching the teen titans. -Development on Tim Drake cause I love the actor. -More time in the titans tower since it’s literally the base of the team. It would be cool to see the individual rooms of the team. -All the moody and broody shit to be gone. There can obviously be conflict, there has to be or there’s no show. But all the depressing shit gots to go.

The character is a demi Amazonian she is half superhuman half mortal in other words she is half super mortal and half normal mortal which means she could only hold the electrical tube up for so long so when the actor dropped it the writers scripted the actor to fall onto it so that was the actors role in the script until Donna gets resurrected by raven.

He probably still eats fruit loops for breakfast.
Doom Patrol is the opposite of this. They're real, believable (obviously to a degree) characters who go through real and believable character arcs. And now, in season 3, It is also revealed that Dick used to be a thief back when he was working under Batman as Robin. Both him and Barbara Gordon used to steal expensive shit from secured areas and not return it at all lmao. How do these writers find a new way to ruin the characters every single time.?
the best episodes of the show are the character driven ones. superboy’s, hawk and dove’s, the doom patrol episode. probably because theyre the only ones with actual direction.
While I agree that the superboy and Doom patrol episodes were good, the Hawk and Dove episodes were actual garbage and they actually regressed instead of developing as characters in their episodes. The more screen time those two had in season 2 the more annoying the show got for me.

Whoever was the costume designer for *"Starfire"* -and whoever approved it-should never be employed ever again. Not just as a costume designer, but as any job position than is in existence, ever.
Something I never understood was what the hell was Kory doing before losing her memories apart from looking for Rachel? Some men were trying to kill her and she was "romantically" involved with a mafia guy. After vaporizing them, the show literally never talks about it anymore.
I think all that had to do with her looking for Rachel. She was getting in bed with those mafia gang members for intell on where Rachel could be, she was in it just for that. Then she incinerated them by accident and started to wake up, conveniently right around the time the show started. So... there probably wasn't any other backstory, just that. The search for Rachel.

I agree so much with the team break up HORRIBLE writing. No adult would act that way. Maybe if Dick had actually killed Jericho by accident and covered it up.... BAD writing.
Because honestly? Dark and gritty is MUCH more interesting than light and goofy. Sure, it can be said that superheroes started out being much more fun and all, but don’t forget that Batman also regularly used guns and killed people, and that Captain America also was a soldier who did lethal stuff and so on. The Avengers themselves as well as other Marvel characters kill A LOT of their enemies in the MCU,, but still crack jokes all the time. Zorro can be considered perhaps the first real hero-type character, and he shot and stabbed a whole of his enemies. Point is, superhero comics started out at least slightly dark and deadly. Thy started becoming more kid-friendly as time went on, however. But today, comics clearly aren’t just for kids anymore. Darker clearly is just more complex and interesting then “family-friendly” and “safe” stuff. Unless you have a GREAT set of writing, like in Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Basically, dark can be great, and usually is. It’s just how BALANCE the dark acts with consequences and stuff. It’s dumb when characters kill and don’t ever seem bothered by it. And it’s dumb when they never kill even though it’d be better for so many others if they did. Balance is the key here.
Basically all the characters can handle themselves... especially Raven, Starfire and Grayson. Why do they need to be a team again? Hell I'm surprised they haven't killed each other at this point... oh wait Starfire almost does kill Raven. What is even this show?

Jason is ridiculous in this show
@@phisograph Actually I take it back, its not that Jason Todd feels irrelevant in a Titans show, its more like the writers doesn't know how to make him relevant as the show went on, not to mention his importance for being there is kinda meh, they introduce this character but does not know how to make that character interesting enough for you to even care, same goes to the others. If I were them they could've just focused the storytelling on the Original 4, but nah let's add more characters nobody really gives a shit about and waste episodes for their own backstories instead of using that time to make more good, unique story for the Original 4 to give them a reasonable logical character development.

@@theman6705 Well I had a very different experience watching the show, I was invested in their relationships every minute.
@@Kuudere-Kun
I was invested until about episode 4, and after the Connor episode, the plot became paper-thin and convoluted.
-HAVE THE FLYING CHARACTERS ACTUALLY FUCKING FLY 👩🏾🦲 i.e Rachel, Starfire, Blackfire, Superboy/Krypto
-Development on Rachel and Gar’s relationship which I can wait for given the fact that the actress is a minor.

Batwoman Alice actually to me is probably on the list for my favourite Arrowverse villains after seeing her full backstory of how she went crazy
Batwoman isn't perfect either mostly because of a combination of writing and Ruby Rose
But I think it's still better than Titans
That's my opinion
You can have yours
I tried rewatching Titans and I honestly couldn't rewatch it a second time
I'm not even sure Batwoman rewatchable either even though I still think from watching then once it's better
Even though Titans did have a more promising start
After two seasons I will be harder on the writer for that show for not getting it together
@@joshroberts1936 FINALLY someone gets it. I've been telling my friends that watch the DC shows that the second half of Batwoman is actually good and improved tenfold in terms of writing and pacing. Now Batwoman still isn't that great, but that second half of that season honestly is a million times more consistent than Titans, where the story jumps all over the place.
Can we talk about how horrible the titans treat Jason
Ironically enough, you could say a lot of things in this show happen out of the blue.

What frustrates me the most is that with the potential it had, TITANS could have been the best superhero show. If it was just executed better and made actual flipping sense it could have been so diffrent and amazing, especially with such iconic characters
@BIg Rat Jones Da Chungus Overpowered? She isn't even close to how she should be.
BIg Rat Jones Da Chungus that’s the stupidest comment I’ve ever read. Starfire isn’t even remotely close to “overpowered” and raven is strong af what do want her to do like just insta kill villains? It’s a tv show I want to watch and enjoy it. Raven killed trigon in a matter of minutes if anything she’s too strong rn. If they made tv shows about super heroes fully based upon how optimally strong they were in the comics then superman would be sneezing universes out of existence....
@BIg Rat Jones Da Chungus Yep. Or her assaulting cops which seems to be a prerequisite to joining the so called team.
@BIg Rat Jones Da Chungus
"hey remember in season 1 WHEN SHE LITERALLY BURNED THE ENEMIES TO DEATH?!" And then she was unable to do anything useful because she's energy was drained? Sure, we remember that...
The villains shouldn’t bother trying to break up the team when the team itself can easily do that on their own.
Robbie Clarke So true 😂
Take a shot any time an ensemble movie/show describe themselves as a “family”
That’s fine to do if it feels earned. In this show it doesn’t feel earned.
Keep in mind folks, Dick Grayson is an ESCAPED. FELON. He wasn’t wrongfully arrested, he wasn’t framed, it wasn’t a misunderstanding. He committed BRUTAL assault on someone, was sentenced to prison, and he escaped while also committing assault IN prison. This isn’t just a case of the characters being different and being unhappy it isn’t like the comics….it’s insane. You say this show is good, but have ya….did you think about what was happening?!

@@scrappy1416 if they remove them from the story, it wouldn’t change at all because of how irrelevant they are. Also, that scene where Hank punches Dick for getting lied to and then the whole team breaks up is hands down the dumbest scene ever.

Starfire, Conner, Jason, Dick, and beast boy definitely should be wanted by the cops. Idk why this never comes up in the show.
Please don't give them that idea and make the show even worse than what it already is. I just want to see them be superheroes, and see if the writers can actually do something with that.
In two season they have killed more people than Oliver in Season one.
It's ironic how the Heroes killed more than the villains
You know who Bruce Wayne is?
True. And then in the ending of Season 2 they act like it's all fine?? Wtf??
I don't ever remember Kory being released of the charges from S1. Don't ever remember Dick being fired or quitting his detective job. Once these plot devices weren't useful they just completely ignored them.
He is supposed to be a fugitive at the end of season two as well. No mention of that at all. I guess season 3 will cover it...
Also Garfield killed a bunch of people and Superboy knocked the fuck outta some cops where tf are Justice Leauge
If you want a good show that stars DC comic characters go watch Young Justice, that show has better writing than this show could ever hope for.

I KNOW RIGHT
Teen titans go was an embarrassment
Something I never understood was what the hell was Kory doing before losing her memories apart from looking for Rachel? Some men were trying to kill her and she was "romantically" involved with a mafia guy. After vaporizing them, the show literally never talks about it anymore.
Wym. Happens every time I black out.
Exactly
I think all that had to do with her looking for Rachel. She was getting in bed with those mafia gang members for intell on where Rachel could be, she was in it just for that. Then she incinerated them by accident and started to wake up, conveniently right around the time the show started. So... there probably wasn't any other backstory, just that. The search for Rachel.
It's because amnesia storylines are easy hooks to grab an audience's attention. They don't need setup or even payoff if it gets someone to start watching. It's just lazy writing.
Why can’t they hire the same writers as Doom Patrol. Literally Doom Patrol season 1 is the most unique and fantastic Comic book show I’ve watched.

The show could’ve been so much better with a better plot and character development
and better writers, and a better script, and a better... everything
A lot of the character building and decisions they make literally make no sense. I mainly just watch and wait for the fights
I can’t lie I’d love to see more of this Deathstroke, Dick Grayson and Jason Todd. They’re actors look exactly like how I’d imagine they look like.. Just like Jim Gordon from the Dark Knight.
Other then Raven (actor too young)
Starfire (not being racist but she's supposed to white/orange skinned) the actors are perfect for the main group beast boy dosent quite have the green skin but he looks just as I imagined, they somehow managed to make dick and Jason look way cooler then I'd imagined and Deathstroke..
Well he looks like how Deathstroke would look in real life, they use so much of the budget to pay actors like these while the stories for them are so badly written like beast boy (who is supposed to be a main Titan character) wasn't there for 5 episodes straight none the less I still love the show and we can't really call it bad until we have a better version/re-boot of this show.
For Jim Gordon yes most of the casting was done perfectly by Christopher Nolan
Alfred, joker, Bruce, two-face, Jim and bane were probably the best casted in a Batman live action series I've seen to date
@@SevenZeroEleven isnt raven supposed to be a young girl, I swear shes supposed to be the youngest in the group or maybe beast boy. @@luke5930 yes raven supposed to be the youngest
@laz kar who would you call a great casting in a super hero movie? Just out of interest. For me the greatest casting ever in a superhero movie has to be jk Simmons as j Jonah Jameson
@laz kar that's not their fault, the actors have the potential it's the writers fault, the actors can't change what they have been given they have to follow the script and they do just that, if they gave full creative freedom to them like Nolan did with Heath Ledger I bet these actors can perform twice as better
Why do I feel like the premise of this show was to see how edgy they can make a bunch of beloved characters and then realize "oh wait, we actually have to construct a plot for this?"
I agree so much with the team break up HORRIBLE writing. No adult would act that way. Maybe if Dick had actually killed Jericho by accident and covered it up.... BAD writing.
My other issue is: Why tf does everything have to be dark & gritty now? Wtf is w/ today's shows & that stupid filter?! 😩💀💀
