This has been a common stage setup for them since the mid 90s. They use a sheer drop in front of the band and project onto it. I remember when they projected the Hurt video on the screen for the song for my first NIN show in 1995. Amazing show, and a great visual technique.
No since the late 00s they got a more advanced setup made by a specialist company Moment Factory. This involves multiple screens and layers of screens not just a projector. Later the incorporated an LED screen on the front with sensors
Dude, from your other video you say La Mer is your favorite NIN song... well, you OWE it to yourself to watch the live version from the early 2000s Fragility tour (like the one on the And All That Could Have Been DVD). If you search "Nine Inch Nails - 2002 La Mer / The Great Below / The Mark Has Been Made (Angle 1 x Angle 2)" on TH-cam you can find those three songs, they're all incredible live in that tour. I'd love to see a big reaction to those. Also for more NIN, you can check out Complications of the Flesh (it's another B-side similar to Complication and The New Flesh that you reacted to before), or anything from the "Still" album that came with the AATCHB DVD (such as the songs And All That Could Have Been or Leaving Hope). Cheers!
the theramin is the instrument you were referencing... and i believe that they may have used dry ice mist/fog machines to project some of the imagery, as well as projectors all over the stage space
Nearing 60 years old in 2023 he still sounds better live than any band I’ve heard and better than any of his album version music he’s a genius for sure If you love his visuals watch the vevo tension 2013 nin tour they recorded Trent said he broke even on that tour because each night they changed the visuals and set list it was epic
I personally appreciate anyone that can separate the art from the artist. But, quite honestly I don’t like to know much about their personal lives and opinions myself.
this was my favorite lineup next to the lineup before this

O btw, Rob Sheridan is a graphic designer who worked with NIИ to create those visuals
Thanks bro, just looked him up. Apparently, outside of NIN he has also worked with Maynard and Puscifer for their love shows as well.
@@anksreacts interesting
I went to this show in boston, yea it was just as rad in real life
The Lights In The Sky Tour 2009 is worth a thorough look

The theramin! Thank you so much. That is what the sound reminded me of. Man, visually this was a treat to watch.

There's a 5 or so minute video on yt somewhere from the Lights in the Sky tour. It has more incredible visuals
This is why I always say if you’re doing a nin reaction always do live
Oh man wait till u see their "tensions" concert from a few years back. That is masterpiece of a performance.
I’ll have to check it out
Love your channel and reactions. All I got say is it's time for some more TOOL
You need to check out some RAMMSTEIN concerts. Keep up the good work!
Okay, I’ll give them a shot
i take issue with reznor as a person but i really cant knock him as a musician.

@@anksreacts yeah it's as they say 'never meet your heroes'
Oh man! That’s a bummer. That’s why I hope I never meet mine
