Good scan! The Tecsun or most quality PLL synthesized receivers do very well for this type of band scan. I enjoy using my PL-660 like this. The modern DSP units with their muting/chuffing are not really suited for scanning this way IMO. Enjoy your videos.
Yes I am pleased with the 990x. I have an old Sangean ATS 909, but it has the muting while tuning. I don't use it much for scanning. I also use a Tecsun PL680, but the volume level decreases when using SSB. It works well inside or with headphones, but I normally don't use it for band scans.
