@@owen7185 that's a bold call... as good as he was, all being equal, he would have lost far more races v Winx than he would have won. It's a shame that she didn't have any truly great rivals like BLU did or Black Caviar but using IVR's she truly had no equal... certainly not in the last 20 years.
@@666dr oh absolutely. BLU proved himself in one of the strongest middle distance competitions we've seen in this country. I dont place a lot of credence in Timeform ratings... especially for horses competing outside the UK... they are dripping with eurocentricity. Even so, they don't allow for the distaff allowance so she still has an edge in that regard. While she only raced the once over 12F as a 3yo as an older horse I think she would have been at least as effective over 11F as she was over 10. It's a real shame she didn't travel.
@@bgardiner3354 nah he would have done more work to win. He's a champion at 1600, 2000, 2400, and he would have shit in a Melbourne Cup. Winx was good but BLU was great, Feehan, Railway, Emirates he's a freak at a mile too
That win against one of best 3yo`s ever might be his best. Stylish Century could have been anything if it wasn`t for greedy owners. Good on you Bill Mitchell.
