At one point Krabs takes a bite of a krabby patty and says “so that’s what I taste like.” While this is a fun idea, he’s saying this because another fish just compared the old and dry taste of the sandwich to Mr. Krabs. Mr. Krabs has definitely eaten Krabby Patties before, so if they were crab meat he wouldn’t be saying “so that’s what I taste like” as if he’s never tried them before. The Krusty Krab is shaped like a Crab-Trap. It's been confirmed that it's actually based on a lobster trap, not a crab trap.
you know how the pets are worms and snails? they are less advanced then fish even when they were primal so when the radiation hit they got more advanced like snails could say meow and the worms could bark so they did evlove

Definetly believable since Stephen hillenburg studied marine biology. Would definitely expect him to base his work on reality during the making but also make it subtle enough that when you don't know it, you don't see it.

The Question now is, did he really adopt Pearl because he feels bad about her mothers death? See- here’s the thing. According to Planktons Intern, Pearl knows the formula. And while this theory disproves it totally, I’d like to think this so that I don’t lose my love for the series entirely.

the ending was crazy genius, he showed that he is self aware that no one cares about his films, and gave a valid reason to "chase for clouts" and denied future attacks that may tell him he is a "sellout".

Sandy has this same higher intelligence as other fish, and can even communicate with them! Its already been stated that Sandy hasn't always resided in Bikini Bottom, so how did she get so smart?

This theory started off with humans documenting this higher intelligent fish species, observing and learning from them, but if higher intelligent life exists on land (i.e. Sandy Cheeks and other ape species) .. Why would undersea life be more intriguing to study? Unless life on land isn't as evolved in the Spongebob universe, and these are the only other animals that share human characteristics... So again, how did Sandy become so advanced? In my opinion, Alex should do a background history on each character, and go from there.
Honestly the whale part makes a lot of sense. When a whale dies and falls to the ocean bottom, it provides enough food to make an entire temporary mini-ecosystem.

A worthless hat he graverobbed for, throwing away a friend for money (both plankton and sponge Bob), being annoyed by the teens who he hired to replace sponge Bob and squidward with when they went on strike, being stung to hell an back when abusing WILD jellyfish, being pelted with peanuts (and maybe facing jail time) for stealing a giant oyster's pearl-like egg. (look just cuz he thought it was a Pearl and didn't know it was an egg doesn't change that he still stole something important to the oyster.) Plus the idea krabs would fatten his daughter up like that ignores that he's willing to prioritize her happiness over his own selfishness. Hell the tell tale boots show us another karmic punishment for not just being cheap with his family but lying to spongebob. That and when spongebob had to pretend to be him infront of his navy friends? He gets annoyed and offended when spongebob suggests he'd do a surgery on his own daughter just to save money. Heck, when Pearl was working at the krusty/kuddly crab? Yes he put his profits first but his primary concern was how firing his own daughter would affect their relationship as family. Pearls prom date ditches? He dose everything he can to make sure she has a date. His relationship with Mrs. Puffs has him having to choose between the two and eventually he figures out she isn't interested in his money, she's interested in him. So while crabs is terrible at priorities? At least he actually cares and comes to his senses.

Additional thought: So how is Pearl evolved when her mother was unevolved? Maybe she’s not evolved or only partially evolved, and her being raised in an evolved society made her able to talk and fit in. But then why isn’t she massive like her mother? In the episode “Growth Spout” Pearl goes through a sudden growth spurt and briefly grows massively, bigger than any evolved whale in Bikini Bottom. So maybe she will resemble her unevolved mother when she’s fully grown.

The part about Mr Krabs and pearls mom reminds me of Metal Gear Solid, where a soldier killed a little girls parents but couldn’t bring himself to kill the girl too so he raised her as his “little sister”
Krabs being in a war against primitive fish actually makes much more sense after you consider Krabs and one of his ship crews were once attacked by the abominable snow mollusk. Maybe attacks like that kept happening over time to other Bikini Bottomites and led to the war and Krabs joined the war because of that event, realizing the threat of primitive creatures firsthand.

Another potential problem with this theory is that Mr. Krabs is canonically in his 50’s-60’s, and Pearl, for most of the show, is not yet 18. The show seems to imply that Krabs was a soldier is his youth, and that the Krusty Krab has been open for a couple of decades. If Krabs really got Pearl after the war and before the KK, one would think she’d be significantly older than she is in the show.
He must've killed a whale before Pearl's mother and only hunted her once that whale's body ran out of meat to use. Even if we assume Pearl is gonna be used next, Mr Krabs wouldn't be able to use her. Not only would he have gotten attached to her by then, but even if he didn't, she's too young. Not to mention, going by her age, by the time she is old enough to become Krabby Patty meat, Krabs would've been old and dead before he even saw her grow up. Am I reading into this too much? Maybe. Would it be a viable solution to allow Pearl to live against this cruel fate? Maybe, maybe not. Would I make it happen so Pearl gets to live? Absolutely!

Another point towards this theory being canon is the show's creators using marine biology in tons of aspects in the show, and "Whale falls" (Where a whale dies and sinks to the bottom of the ocean) are often described as "restraunts" for tons of different fish. This creates an ecosystem/"restaurant" that thrives from anywhere between 50-100 years! Super cool stuff. :] (Sorry if another commenter mentioned this, btw- I tried looking & couldn't find any.)

Not the timeframe, but in how it all actually works, details below: The meat/soft tissues actually gets picked off by bigger scavengers like sharks, octopus, and giant isopods pretty quickly. Then comes polychaete worms, tiny little crustaceans, and mollusks that basically clean everything up, including the sand/sediment around the "fall" and I believe inside the bones for their marrow but don't quote me on that, lol. So... it's technically the Sulfophilic stage that lasts the longest! Special bacteria break down the lipids in the bones to produce sulfide, that attracts thick bacterial mats, mussels and tube worms. There's even been new studies on types of life that thrive specifically off whale falls, technicalities of there being a "reef stage" all around neat stuff! Our oceans are so amazing. :]

Wait so, what about the fish reporter? He's drawn in a realistic style as if he were a primitive fish, yet he seems to be intelligent and is seen to have the ability to speak. I think there are crossbreeds between the primitive fish and the evolved fish. Maybe one of his parents was evolved and the other wasn't, so he inherited the genes that make him *look* like the primitive fish, but he is actually intelligent.
I think it’s more likely he’s artificial. Fish in spongebob are only shown as photorealistic when they are dead. Plus we know sentient AI exists with Karen. I think if you want you should make a theory about Patrick Star. How he's insanely smart and acting stupid or plotting something. Also does he have a job ? How does he pay for his food and electricity? Is he taking advantage of Spongebob or is his family wealthy.
He actually is smart. Theres a episode where he wears the wrong head and the new head starts his brain up again. He is now even more smarter than Sandy and it drives him to insanity. So he calls spongebob to help him become dumb again because he was happy when he was dumb. They end up finding his old head and it stops his brain. So now hes dumb but he's at least happy
Also tvs in the spongebob universe dont need to be plugged In to work. So he dosent need electricity. And he eats out of the trash in some episodes because he has no money. When he dose eat a krabby patty he had to work for free because he has no money to pay for it. And spongebob mostly pays for his food. He also barely sees his family. Its been so long since hes seen them he mistook other starfish for his parents. And he is actually royalty but all his stuff goes to Gary (not sure if he even gets anything) since they are cousins.

If I remember correctly, in the episode where Gary was missing (episode: have you seen this snail), the old lady was always over feeding Gary and at the end of the episode showed that she eats snails (un-evolved animals) so it proofs that they really eat the other animals
Maybe it used to be normal to eat snails, or other pre-evolved creatures that are now seen as pets, which was why the old lady was trying to eat Gary. Perhaps more modern generations have a different overall opinion on the subject. Idk this is just a random thought.

Why is Mr Krabs the only crab in Bikini Bottom except for his family? You could ask the same question about Spongebob, Mrs. Puff, Plankton, Larry the Lobster, etc. By the same logic any of them could just as easily be the secret ingredient.
At one point Krabs takes a bite of a krabby patty and says “so that’s what I taste like.” While this is a fun idea, he’s saying this because another fish just compared the old and dry taste of the sandwich to Mr. Krabs. On my 7th birthday, I tried getting on the bike to ride with friends. It broke in half. I cried so much I thought my eyes would float clean off. But Daddy was there to comfort me. Despite his cheapness, he'd promise me a new one. He said that I was just going to be bigger than the other girls when I grew up, and that it was nothing to be ashamed of.
On my 12th birthday, Daddy threw me a birthday party at the Krusty Krab. It was embarrassing how much he dotted on me, but it was still sweet to see how much he cared. He wouldn't let me eat any of the patties, and even though I didn't even like them, I still wanted to know why. Daddy seemed to panic a little, and he threw out an excuse that I needed to watch my weight since I was almost twice his height now.
On my 16th birthday, Daddy threw me another birthday at the Krusty Krab. It was really embarrassing at first; it seemed like he put in no effort into anything, and it didn't help that my friends kept complaining. It's funny how I cared so much about how they thought of me, but now I don't even remember their names. By the end of the party, though, I found out that my Daddy got me everything I asked for: presents, ponies, a performance from my favorite band, it was all so sweet! It was only later when I caught him trying to return half the stuff did I realize that Spongebob was the one behind all of it. Around that time, it seemed like exciting things only happened when Spongebob was around. Daddy was so withdrawn during that year, always at the Krusty Krab, giving out excuses about "managing the business". Apparently there was a meat shortage that he had to deal with.
On my 20th birthday, I resigned myself to the fact that I was going to be Daddy's sole caretaker. It was getting harder for me to move around the house. I didn't mind, it was Daddy I was more worried about. His nightmares were getting worse, even with the pills I gave him every morning. He said that his spirals were all because of stress from work. The meat shortage was getting worse. I told him that I could help with the business, if he would tell me the formula. He refused over and over, giving out more excuses about how I wasn't old enough yet, how knowing the family recipe was a special event that couldn't be spoiled. I couldn't remember the last time we had a conversation that didn't include an excuse.
It's my 21st birthday. Daddy looks happy today. Almost too happy, given all the crying I heard last night. He tells me that I'm big enough, and that he's gonna teach me the secret formula.
We drive to the Krusty Krab. Daddy's quiet. He looks over once, the mask-like smile he has slipping a little. I can see it in his eyes. He looks away when he notices me starring back.
We get to the Krusty Krab. Daddy tells me to follow him. It's empty; Squidward and Spongebob's usual banter is nowhere to be heard. That's strange, Daddy never gives them a day off. Daddy leads me to the kitchen, not his office, where the formula is. He leads me to the freezer.

Why would undersea life be more intriguing to study? Unless life on land isn't as evolved in the Spongebob universe, and these are the only other animals that share human characteristics... So again, how did Sandy become so advanced?

Plus the idea krabs would fatten his daughter up like that ignores that he's willing to prioritize her happiness over his own selfishness. Hell the tell tale boots show us another karmic punishment for not just being cheap with his family but lying to spongebob. That and when spongebob had to pretend to be him infront of his navy friends? He gets annoyed and offended when spongebob suggests he'd do a surgery on his own daughter just to save money. Heck, when Pearl was working at the krusty/kuddly crab? Yes he put his profits first but his primary concern was how firing his own daughter would affect their relationship as family. Pearls prom date ditches? He dose everything he can to make sure she has a date. His relationship with Mrs. Puffs has him having to choose between the two and eventually he figures out she isn't interested in his money, she's interested in him.
So while crabs is terrible at priorities? At least he actually cares and comes to his senses.

Krabs being in a war against primitive fish actually makes much more sense after you consider Krabs and one of his ship crews were once attacked by the abominable snow mollusk. Another potential problem with this theory is that Mr. Krabs is canonically in his 50’s-60’s, and Pearl, for most of the show, is not yet 18. The show seems to imply that Krabs was a soldier is his youth, and that the Krusty Krab has been open for a couple of decades. If Krabs really got Pearl after the war and before the KK, one would think she’d be significantly older than she is in the show.
He must've killed a whale before Pearl's mother and only hunted her once that whale's body ran out of meat to use. Even if we assume Pearl is gonna be used next, Mr Krabs wouldn't be able to use her. Not only would he have gotten attached to her by then, but even if he didn't, she's too young. Not to mention, going by her age, by the time she is old enough to become Krabby Patty meat, Krabs would've been old and dead before he even saw her grow up. Am I reading into this too much? Maybe. Would it be a viable solution to allow Pearl to live against this cruel fate? Maybe, maybe not. Would I make it happen so Pearl gets to live? Absolutely!

Another point towards this theory being canon is the show's creators using marine biology in tons of aspects in the show, and "Whale falls" (Where a whale dies and sinks to the bottom of the ocean) are often described as "restraunts" for tons of different fish. The meat/soft tissues actually gets picked off by bigger scavengers like sharks, octopus, and giant isopods pretty quickly.

Wait so, what about the fish reporter? He's drawn in a realistic style as if he were a primitive fish, yet he seems to be intelligent and is seen to have the ability to speak. I think there are crossbreeds between the primitive fish and the evolved fish. Maybe one of his parents was evolved and the other wasn't, so he inherited the genes that make him *look* like the primitive fish, but he is actually intelligent.
I think it’s more likely he’s artificial. Fish in spongebob are only shown as photorealistic when they are dead. Plus we know sentient AI exists with Karen. I think if you want you should make a theory about Patrick Star. How he's insanely smart and acting stupid or plotting something. Also does he have a job ? How does he pay for his food and electricity? Is he taking advantage of Spongebob or is his family wealthy.
He actually is smart. Theres a episode where he wears the wrong head and the new head starts his brain up again. He is now even more smarter than Sandy and it drives him to insanity. So he calls spongebob to help him become dumb again because he was happy when he was dumb. They end up finding his old head and it stops his brain. So now hes dumb but he's at least happy

Riddle me this: Pearl is only about 16, but in the Spongebob movie, we learn that Spongebob has 374 employee of the month awards, implying he's been working there for over 30 years. Plus, in The Chaperone, it's heavily implied that Spongebob is way too old for Pearl's school prom. @@bluny8392 Idk if this might be something mind-blowing or that I'm over exaggerating,but I managed to look up a Stephen Hillenburg Wikia and so far,I looked at the trivia points and it shows the rules and restrictions that Stephen himself asked his production crew to follow:
▫️One of them was that SpongeBob shouldn't never get his driver's license because to him and him only,the show will end. Especially since he mentioned that he loves the dynamic banter between SpongeBob and Mrs. Puff.
▫️And speaking of love,Stephen also mentions that SpongeBob shouldn't have a love interest since he written SpongeBob asexually just like real life sponges.
▫️And in this one,he mentions that no one should reveal about Pearl's Mother *OR* The Krabby Patty Secret Formula in the show
Now that last one I mentioned got me thinking. The moment that I read it,I just said: "I think you already *DID* revealed the secret."
Now I maybe over exaggerating here,but why even mentioned both Pearl's Mother *AND* The Krabby Patty Secret Formula *BOTH* in the *SAME* sentence??? Think about it. 😅
@@drawnborn5896 that could be a coincidence, but i do get your point. But the theory says Krabs is raising Pearl so when she grows up Krabs kills her and uses her meat for the krabby patty's. Why doesn't krabs just finds another whale that isn't Pearl to kill? We have seen that there are normal fish in the series so what's stopping him from killing a normal whale again, then needing to kill his own daughter? I think it is easier to kill another whale then to raise a baby whale with the intent to killing it when it grows up. Also, the Krusty Krab is older than Pearl. So before Krabs killing Pearl's mother, what was the formula?
