I thought they said if there was a new one at anypoint you could swap to upgrade to the new one.

I agree with you. I love my sky glass TV. I see so many people putting it down. I had Sony tv's, Philips, even tcl and none of them beat my sky glass, best tv I ever had tbh. But like this new vivid extra setting it looked brighter and sharper but it didn't look natural imo. Maybe good for games. So maybe this new sky glass tv may be slightly similar.
Only down side for me was no optical out. Which would have been beneficial for me tbh.

@ lol it’s really not but I’m not getting it to all this again do a bit of research a lot of companies involved the panel Samsung which you can tell just by the type of panel it is but like Samsung make screens for most phones which you can tell by the names of the screens but not saying anymore as it will spark a massive debate like last time lol

@ReviewBoxUK I think all the brands are trying to phase these optical connections out unfortunately. Even the ps5 didn't have an optical.
The real problem for me actually is there seems to be some, what they call a handshake issue between the sky glass and my pioneer avr via earc. It seems that it's just not compatible anyway. Which is why I had to buy an hdmi splitter. It works a treat. But an optical would have really helped me out there and I wouldn't have needed the splitter. Tbh I know it's really my avr that's the issue. Googled and found other people with the same avr having the same issue and they aren't even using sky glass. So its the avr that's the issue but issue would be solved if sky glass had the optical.

It will be released in Feb for the exact reason you have said. If you officially announced in Feb, why would they wait until summer. It will be launched approximately 14 days after the launch date. The price will be the same or very similar to the current sky glass tv’s. I suspect that they will be much thinner, with a micro LED panel, updated processors and also built in camera. The price of the current sky glass should have been reduced. There is no reason at way I would ever pay full price for a three year old tv

@@marcosgilson3578 yes they have come down in price but not that much i really don’t think it will be that fast if it was you would have seen many leaks by now, if your talking micro led they would be thinking higher than 4k and I really don’t think that a way to go and there isn’t really anything out there over 4k that any normal person would have access to, I don’t think it will have a built in camera due to privacy issues yes I’m sure they say there will be a way to turn it of but would you trust that? Even Alexa’s have a manual slider cover and I believe that’s why they went with the add on one for the current glass, we all could argue and debate all night but not much point we should all wait till feb and see what happens

The only way they could improve Sky Glass would be to make it thinner and perhaps they mean lighter in weight because the telly weighs a f-cking ton! I am disabled and I am screwed for moving this TV by myself.

@@marcosgilson3578 TP put the tv together the panel supplied by TPV which is a Samsung panel Samsung technology Sony even use these panels ex Sonos employees worked making the atmos which I think sound pretty rubbish yes sounds ok for a tv but really nowhere near what atmos should sound like 👍🏼
