Rens ability to portray such complexity through simplicity shines in most of his videos aye. Perhaps there's less distraction that way and it lets our minds fill with stories which our brain seems to enjoy lol. Yes he really does understand not only the story he's telling but also how to do it. Seems he's taken the things his parents were masters of and he's combined them in masterful ways.
