i think all people that fish love the idea of owning an open boat instead of a cabin type that can take them anywhere they wish and because of the design be able to fight the fish all around the boat , i what you have is an absolute dream for most of us, i hope it serves you well for years to come and it gives you many happy surprises and memories , thank you for sharing all that you do we all can and do learn from everything you post , stay safe .
Thanks heaps and spot on, very neat and tidy boat with plenty of room to move around and not have obstructions. It’s my pride and joy and seriously is part of my happiness in life☺️
Wow, what a set up, you have everything on board. That’s also very informative of the things we need to have on board. Your an excellent teacher and you have a great brother who’s happy to help you. Well done 😊
Thank you for your kind words, truly appreciated and spot on about my brother, wouldn’t be fishing if it wasn’t for his encouragement in the early days
Awesome boat, great motor, I've just fitted a 60hp mercury 4stroke on my boat . Would love to have all the storage space you have. Well set up boat , keep the vids coming , enjoy watching you catch snapper👍
Hey love watching your videos. Keep it up. I am looking at getting the same boat as you have never had an open boat before always cabin boats. How wet do you get.
Hey Mal. Thanks for enjoying my adventures! It’s a great open boat with plenty of space and power. Usually it’s a pretty dry boat but if you have a high swell offshore with high winds it can get wet, especially if you are side on to the wind and swell. you can hide behind the screen for most scenarios but anyone else in the boat will get wet. But yeah for the most part it’s a pretty dry boat.
No I never did go snorkeling - the little bay incident happened that summer and got scared. This boat handles amazing and is very sturdy and powerful, does not compare to the tinny 🔥 fuel consumption was much better in the tinny, but if you drive the Haines slow then its fuel consumption is very good.
@@spikesfishing ah yes, I remember it! Hopefully you can try one day, with a group or something. 👍 awesome job on the Haines. It’s a gorgeous boat and love that new red finishing on the floor!
Hi, what a beautiful and practical fishing boat. Well done with this video it was informative. Could you do a video on how you deploy and use your Minn Kota on the water and could I ask an estimate of how long batteries last on average when using the Minn Kota on spot lock? Thank you so much and happy fishing! 😊
@@spikesfishing ok mate. I don’t like that blue shit, it dries out and the combo of metals, brass, copper and stainless steel creates natural electrolysis. I have been selling batteries for 23 years and owned boats for 30, so keep an eye on them 🍺👍😎🇦🇺
Thanks Mel. I don't know how I missed it after being one of the people who suggested it.
You run a very tidy rig.
Took me long enough 😂 hope you enjoyed ☝🏽👍🏽

Hey Mel love your set up, do you know if that windscreen is removable? Trying to figure id this can fit through the old 2.2m garage
Hey Sushi I’m sure it’s removable. If you call Good Times Marines they would be able to tell you for sure though, I don’t see why not.
Congratulations on the great setup! Thanks for the inspiration!
♥️♥️
Amazing setup, thanks for sharing it with us
You are most welcome
beautiful sunrise 🌄
One of the best feelings when getting up early to fish and seeing an epic sunrise 🌄

@@spikesfishing Great thanks Mel
Have you gone snorkeling yet? Also, curious on how it handles, fuel consumption, maintenance etc vs ur previous aluminium??

Consider it done
Top rig 👍
Spray Lanox on your battery cables where they connect to your batteries.
Yeah since this video was made they have been cleaned and have fancy blue stuff on them now.

I told the guys at Good Times Marine and they said you are right
Hot Hot!!! Very Nice🇦🇺😎
Thank you 😋
Cool video, great boat, I’m in the market for one also. What did you pay for it if you don’t mind me asking?
Hey bro its 90k
You would be looking at 100k to completely set it up like mine including the electronics
What motor do you have and what do you think of it?
150hp merc and it does the job. I had a Yamaha on my previous boat which was also a great engine
